Kessler outplayed every other QB on the roster again. I don't understand how Kizer was the starter week 1 and don't think I ever will.

Kessler is terrible. What he did in overtime is what is what he does far too often.
Kessler is not any future, unless you like watching drives stall because he can't make a decision when he drops back.

I feel bad for the team. With Joe gone, there was nothing we could do. Pressure was far too consistent and we couldn't run in that direction. Everything following Joe being out was impossible. We're in a bit of trouble at LT.
For the first time since Pittsburgh, I'm not mad at the loss. It was such a gutsy effort with some heartbreaking injuries and mistakes that ultimately soiled an otherwise encouraging performance. I agree, BDU. But the turnover ratio and penalty ratio killed us...

There was plenty we could have done. Of course that would be too much to ask of the worst HC and staff in the NFL.

I'm betting Thomas NEVER returns. Why should he? What's to return to? HOF bound. I agree.

Heal up and come back next year to protect whoever the new shiny toy rookie QB who's sure to bust's backside. That's Joe.

I thought the play calling was good today, compared to the first six weeks. Still had some head scratchers. You had the announcers questioning the play calling late which isn't good, especially coming from a former player. But I don't think the play calling lost the game.
The Browns do not have a QB. It's really that simple.

Kessler couldn't win this if they gave him 30 downs to get a first!
This is the exact game situation where Kizer gives you a punchers chance.
Kessler!!!! Same old Kessler.
sacked, punt, back to Tenn at the 50 I wasn’t aware Kessler was blocking on the line You do realize that the same pressure all mid 2nd when Kizer was completing passes, or at least making decisions . that same pressure make Kessler look like a guy who doesn't know what to do except: duck, look down, and wait to get sacked or worse.

I feel bad for the defense. Played a heck of game. Normally they wilt when they know the offense will not allow them to win. But they didn't. Props to the defense.

Everyone was fired up. Cody was even fired up when we went into OT. I had such hopes, again. Still, I actually almost enjoyed the game. I think?

He says he wants to be a part of it when it turns around.
I'm taking him at his word.

I'm taking him at his word. I don’t see Joe playing into his 60s Classic! Love it. If you can't get any laughs out this team, then you got nothing. I mean did anyone really believe at any point the Browns were winning this game. I never at any point thought they would win.

We'll see. I hope he doesn't retire.

Kessler is not any future, unless you like watching drives stall because he can't make a decision when he drops back. How did you think our offensive line played in overtime. You're absolutely delusional. IN the mid 4th Kessler looked better. In OT. Kessler looked BAD! Kessler couldn't handle any pressure, and made the pressure worse by backing into the pocket and wait to get hit. Kizer looked better in the 1st half, Kizer handled the pressure, but threw interceptions, Kizer has more arm strength, and even throws off balance, "shoots from the hip" makes things happen. Kessler is "safe", when he is on, Kessler is "nonfator" when is is off, Kessler, when he gets shell shocked just makes bad decisions, gives up too early on drop backs, when he sees any kind of adversity, and throws the ball away, takes a sack, or worse. Kizer threw the ball too hard, and sometimes too far out of reach for some players today. Kessler , on his throws, (noticeably softer, less velocitiy, ) hit some guys when he first went in, but lack of arm strength will come into play. Kizer, should have been in for the OT Kizer is built to take you on a 2 minute drive. Kessler: hasn't had a game winning 4th quarter drive, (much like Charlie frye nearly never did), Anytime in his professional career. Delusional? What game were you watching?
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Wow, all that typing and you didn't address the original the original thought about how you thought the offensive line played. Really? Made the pressure look worse than it was! Bah!

It certainly helped. Where did some of these decisions come from? Good luck. Hue needs to fire himself as play caller IMO. First down up the middle. Less than 2 yards per carry.
Just dumb offensive stuff.
