Joe Haden shut down AJ Green today and had a pick. The Steelers secondary is ranked first in the NFL, yet Sashi Brown didn't think he was good enough to play for us.

My wife and son are huge Steeler fans. My wife is from Western PA and lived in Pittsburgh for a bit.
They both love Haden and said he has solidified their defense. A bunch of their friends echo the same thoughts.
I am so sick of hearing that from them. Laughing at how dumb the Browns are.

I know we suck, but at least we didn’t have a safety kicking field goals on us, like the cowboys did against the 49ers

Haden struggled his first game or two in Pitt, but he's looked good this past few ... dang. Good for him. Bad for us.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Joe Haden shut down AJ Green today and had a pick. The Steelers secondary is ranked first in the NFL, yet Sashi Brown didn't think he was good enough to play for us. It could be a case of a change of environment and more of a culture of accountability was just what the doctor ordered for him. Maybe that's what he needed to respond and play focused football. He wouldn't get that in Cleveland. But he had multiple opportunities to make game changing plays in Cleveland and they were few and far between. I believe there are more moments where he cost us the games than helped the Browns win. Admittedly, we were depending on that because for the umpteenth year we have no QB. That puts a lot of pressure on the other guys. I have no issues with them cutting Haden. He wouldn't have made a difference here. But I'm rooting for him. I'll be following him closely through the playoffs.

I am tired of seeing our players leaving and being successful elsewhere.
Do our coaches just suck that much, that they cant get the best performance from the players?
Because this is a reoccuring theme, not only Haden.

From my recollection Joe usually had his way with AJ Green, it was the smaller speedier receivers like AB he had more trouble with. Trust me, in no way am I endorsing the front office letting Haden go. Personally I hated it, couldn't understand it, especially with the amount of cap room we have. But history has shown that Joe owned AJ Green.

I bashed Haden a lot because I thought folks overrated him on here, but all of a sudden, he sucks. LOL The bottom line to me is that you do NOT create more holes when you already have a ton of them. Cutting Haden is symbolic of what this FO has done to the coaching staff. And the latter will almost certainly take the blame for the moves of a lawyer.

It's not overrated.
It's no coincidence that teams with QBs seem to draft better.

He has cheated. I do not believe in cheating under any circumstances.
I also think he talks really tough and I don't think he is very tough at all. He just has the right position.
Some of his fellow coaches also have not said glowing things about him. For example, when he was in Washington, they said the extra g in Gregg was put there for "great." And it was not a complimentary statement.
Take a look at the Rams' D. Are they better or worse this year? Guy is full of himself.
But again, the D played well today. Gotta give him credit for that.

Sorry dude, I will never agree that the Defense somehow magically plays better because of a quarterback.
Our D played fine today and we had bad QB play.
Those two things are not related.

I am tired of seeing our players leaving and being successful elsewhere. Just as I read this, Collinsworth is talking about how well Johnson Bademosi is playing for the Patriots. Oh, look....Taylor Gabriel has a catch for the Falcons.

The Falcons desperately miss Shanny. Best offensive mind in football right now ... not sure its even close .... He’s done a GREAT JOB since his days in Houston ... what he did with Schuabb there was pretty amazing .... The Niners missed him today too ... *L* ..... He has no QB there ... we could have a fight for the #1 ..

I despise Gregg Williams the human being. I would love to beat his ass. However, the D played well today. I respect your opinion a lot, but I like Gregg a lot and love the new attitude he has brought to the defense. Don't know him as a human being, and don't really care as long as he's not doing anything to break the law. I really can't remember our defensive line dominating the line of scrimmage like this since before the move to Baltimore, so I find it hard to hate the guy.

It's cool that we disagree, but dude, Gregg [w/an extra g] put bounties out on players. That is against the rules and why he was fired.

I wonder if people watch other games and ever think about the play calling?
Or, do y'all just bash our coaches w/out any thought of the play calling of other teams?
I think the latter.
What was ATL doing there?

Shoot............I don't know the time. It was in the last offensive series for ATL in the 3rd quarter. They threw two long passes that has almost zero chance to be completed.
I'm not dogging them..........I'm just saying you can question all teams in regards to play calls.
I mentioned this on another thread, but what about the Steelers at the end of the first half? There were about 12 seconds left w/one timeout inside the 10. They ran the ball w/Bell. Could have called the TO w/either 8 or 7 seconds left and ran a fade or a slant on 3rd down. Instead, they let the clock run down and called a late timeout. The announcers ripped them. The fans grumbled. Big Ben got into it w/Tomlin.
They came out in the second half and still killed the Bungles.
[censored] happens, Diam.
The difference is that when your talent/experience is inferior, each mistake is magnified and each move [whether it be good or bad] is examined and is used as an indictment against the coach.
Coaching isn't the problem here, Diam. He ain't perfect, but none of them are.
