Regardless of the outcome of this game, I still think playing back-to-backs hurt the product the NBA is selling. And the same can be said about Thursday games for the NFL. The thing is, the NBA doesn't have to do it. I understand why the NFL does it, it's an open night they can get some primetime eyes which generates more revenue.
There's no reason for the NBA to do it though. Maybe there are scheduling issues that force it, but I just don't like it.

We've made the Finals that last two years waiting until after the regular season to start worrying about how to play defense.
No, 2016 we were good defensively all year, last year we got trounced in the finals, right now we lost to a lottery team and almost lost to another lottery team last night

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Love is struggling being the second option, we miss Kyrie immensely

Nets are missing their best player, lebron had a triple double and we still looked overmatched in every single category

That's where I get annoyed. A team this talented should shoot better from the line in every game. Defense, is hustle and energy. Playing on the road within a back-to-back as the team to beat in the East, we're tired and we get everyone's best effort. Plus, sometimes dudes just hit shots. Oh well.
“...Iguodala to Curry, back to Iguodala, up for the layup! Oh! Blocked by James! LeBron James with the rejection!”
It seems like teams are shooting 70% from three against the Cavs.
Telling ya, we get everyone's best effort. Look at the Warriors, they're 2-2 and had to fight each game so far (Dallas challenged them until the half). So far, Toronto is keeping pace with them tonight. Imagine if they're 2-3.

just an awful display last night ... we didn't guard anybody
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."
this simply isn't true, lebron is a below average FT shooter, and def. not clutch at the line.. maybe you forgot the lefthanded boston game? I would have rather seen him jack up a three or a turn around fadeaway off one leg with 5 people on him then shoot a FT with the game on the line.
Defense is an issue, I don't care with the whole, wait till playoffs, championship teams don't wait that long to start playing, and against upper echelon teams yeah, but we've given up 51 threes in the past 3 games with 2 of them being lottery teams...think about that 51. And its not like they are just making shots, go back and watch some of them, they are wide open with people usually feet from them.
Lue has to make some changes, JR and TT have been absolutely worthless, these guys got their contracts and simply don't care. I'd almost start either green or korver at the two, we already know wade aint that guy, and JR sure isn't. What i don't get is with some of these guys struggling so much this early, why not go a little deeper on the bench and see what you have in Holland and Osman, Osman can defend and is young, and Holland can score. Lebron at the point is good and all, but he turns the ball over quite a bit.. Rose will help when he comes back, but we just don't have that consistent #2 threat like we did with Kyrie here. Love ain't that guy, he just isn't efficient. Hes much more effective at the 4, I'm not sure what the answer there is as our bigs are trash. TT has actually gotten worse as if thats possible. I can't see how playing Zizic could be that much worse.
Another issue I have is we were watching crabbe and dinwiddie jacking up 3's at 50%. most of them in Korvers face, while our best perimeter defender sat on the bench.
Dunno, I know its early in the season, combined with losing and playing like poo against lottery teams, the indians meltdown and the browns being in midseason form, this is getting frustrating. Watching the cavs is supposed to make us forget how horrible it is to be a cleveland fan most of the year. Lue needs to figure it out, so far he looks as lost as the guys on the floor.

Mr. Cavalier said something yesterday, makes sense. He said the we appear to want teams to lay down for us and etc. Teams are gunning it for us and want a piece of the former champs/people in the finals all the time.
We're getting their best shot, and we need to match the tempo. We, again, made too late of a defensive comeback yesterday. Had we done it earlier, then another W.
That Gabbe (spelling?) was nailing every single three pointer he took.

The 25 second mark says, "hi". You can't get much more clutch than that at the line.
If he had missed that FT, GS probably hits a three and wins in OT. I'm a huge fan of "The Block" and everyone likes Kyrie's shot and Kevin's D-up on Curry, but that free throw is super underrated. It's probably the last Cleveland induced factor in winning a ring.

Every year, for the last three years you've complained about the defense and effort from the Cavs in the regular season.
Every year, the Cavs have mailed it in, especially against weaker opponents and back-to-back games.
Every year, you and others call for the coach to be fired, or just about everyone outside of Lebron to be replaced with free agents, D-leaguers, or trades that will never happen.
Every year, other people have had to talk you and others off the ledge and tell you to wait until the post-season when the Cavs will actually care about playing hard.
And every year, we basically walk into the Finals and give Golden State their toughest test in the playoffs.
At this point, I don't even want to mess with tradition.
I agree with everything you said but this year already feels different because of no Kyrie. Can they turn it on without him? The most important trait in the NBA is being able to put the ball in the hoop when you need it the most. No one was better at that than Kyrie.
I sound like a broken record but if I were Altman I don't trade Kyrie. Make him report to camp, everyone kiss and make up, and get ready to play in your 4th straight Finals.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Nothing beats the October and November freakout.
Trade this guy, fire that guy, this guy sucks, this guy on this other team is really good, etc.
The way this team is built, the first four months of the season do not matter. The East is still horrible, and this is a veteran filled team.
I don't care about seeding and I don't care about games played before month of February. I'm just enjoying the season.
You played like crap most of the year last year and lost one game before the finals. ONE.

Sorry but hitting a ft with a 3 point lead isn’t clutch, hitting them when you’re down two with no time to get another possession is clutch
