It certainly was. Even in real time. He did nothing to even attempt to pull up. I actually think he should get a minimum one game suspension. I mean what more could one do to deserve a suspension?

If defenders know they can knock the opposing teams QB out for the trade of a 15 yard penalty, why wouldn't they do it? If the league has any intention of stopping these kinds of hits or wishes to convince the public they actually care about head injuries, a fine that really has no major impact on a player and a 15 yard penalty simply won't cut it.

Wasn't Alonso the guy who hit Hoyer and injured him while Hoyer was sliding in the Buffalo game a few years ago? I didn't see the play last night but I remember thinking that hit on Hoyer was dirty.

Because of Kiko Alonso's history of dirty plays, Shannon Sharpe explains to Skip Bayless that Alonso should be suspended for multiple games for his illegal hit on Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco.

SHANNON SHARPE: Hell, yes, and for multiple games. Danny Trevathan got two games with no history of being late. Now, he appealed that-- of being dirty. He appealed that, got it reduced to one.

Kiko Alonso got a history of this. He hit Brian Hoyer the exact same way on a quarterback slide. Not only did he knock him out of the game, he knocked him out of the season.

SKIP BAYLESS: Hm, well, I don't think he's ever been fined or suspended.

SHANNON SHARPE: Doesn't matter. Has he done something like this before? If the quarterback is giving himself up, you better treat it like before the game. When those planes fly over, you better do a fly-over. Not only did he hit him late, he hit him in his head, Skip! That's the whole purpose.

SHANNON SHARPE: But anyway, he's going to be suspended multiple games. You can't hit the quarterback in the head. You can't hit him once he gives himself up. I would be shocked if he doesn't get three games, he appeals it, and comes down--

SHANNON SHARPE: Three games, he appeals it, comes down to two. He has a history of this. Go pull the tape in which he hit Brian Hoyer the exact same way.
