This just doesn't make any sense. I can only imagine some kind of backroom deal would lead the patriots to give up this much of a loss in draft value.
ONly thing I can think of is that JG was going to refuse to sign extensions to block being traded here.
Just seems extremely unfair.

I think it is more likely that we offered something last year, but that SF kept at it this year and we did not.
I seriously doubt that BB would take less compensation to make JG happy. Whatever the reason it comes back to gross negligence on the FO part. I do not trust them having another draft. This is going to be a PR nightmare for the Browns over the coming days. Something is going to happen.
