Yeah, that is what I thought. Some of the recent posts made me wonder if I missed something.

While I think thwts stupid... I understand it... If hue is adamant that McCarron can come in an be a legit qb then i understand the high price... I wouldn't have done it... But I understand if hue was adamant we get him no matter what...

I think it looks more like the front office realized how bad they looked last night and thought they could save face by getting AJ and Cincy didn't want to give him up. When it came down to the deadline and they were empty handed, they paid Cincy's price to try and save their jobs.

It's just a theory, but it makes more sense to me than anything else.

Not to detract from the Gordon talk, but Coleman is now eligible to return to practice (Though he hasn't as of yet) and can return to playing in week eight.

It would be phenomenal to get both Coleman and Gordon back at the same time. That'd be a fantastic injection for Kizer across the second half of the season.

I'm so down on our receivers. I hoped for so much more from Britt and Louis. We need our big dawgs back.

One crazy Night.
Actually it was two nights...but last night was crazy. That’s a story for another time...and not for this board.
I’m not in Bangkok any longer. Just arrived in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I’ll be here for a few nights now. Angkor Wat here I come. Bucket list item #1 about to be checked off!!

I guess it’s getting to be Wednesday morning in Ohio. So maybe we hear some news on Gordon soon? Fingers crossed. I want the guy back. Hopefully clean and ready to ball.

Well yeah. Not much of a choice since the NFL set his reinstatement meeting one day after the the 2017 trade deadline. Goodell tied our hands once again.

Doesn't mean we can't just cut him!

As of 30 minutes ago it looks like Josh Gordon has been in the GQ office for 2 hours*. He's probably doing some press release with them, as one location he snapchatted looked like a room for photoshoots. I'm not sure if he's met with Goodell yet.

*He's been in One World Trade Center since 9 (which is where GQ is located), but I'm not sure where the NFL operates out of, or where he would see the Commish. Kinda weird to do a media blitz before your interview, but maybe that's just how the time works out?

Yup... they can release him. That would be fine with me, but we have a FO that's seeing sugar plum fairies these days while trying to make trades for players without knowing what time of day it is.

That would be just another stupid front office decision, to cut Gordon before knowing if he can help our dismal wr group.

If Gordon is going to make it in the NFL, let it be with the Browns.

If Gordon fails to play well enough to improve the WR group, attempt to trade him or cut him after the season.

Yeah true, hanging our hats on a player that's not even on the active roster and hasn't played for a couple years is a smart move. Continue.

Who said "hang their hat" on Gordon?

The Browns have his rights. He was good when he played.

What would another team give the Browns if they traded him? Nothing.

If, IF he gets reinstated, put him out there on the field. For the Browns. Let's see if he still has it. Why trade him for a 3-7 round pick?

Thank you. I am fed up just like everyone else on here, but you still need to think straight. Keeping Gordon on the roster is not even in the same zip code as hanging your hat on him.

He has proven has had talent. That's more than any other WR on our roster. Let him earn his way up the depth chart, if he can.

Simply stated, "Use him up!" Run him ragged, deep, short, and wide. He has to make some other people better. If he can't, doesn't, or won't perform, then out he goes. Just keep your nose clean, JG.

Make him hurt so bad after each game, he has no energy to snort coke or lite up a blunt!

Can I hang my hat on him? I've watched our WR group and Coleman hasn't been on the field enough to know but other than him.. there is nothing to hang your hat on, not even a hook there, just a flat door, we are hat hookless.....

There are two reasons to do something in this world..

1 to make things better.
2 nothing to lose

Could Gordon make us better? I think I could make us better.
Do we have anything to lose by trying? Nope, not one single thing...

At least he has a nice, stable environment to get himself reacclimated.

If coming into this nightmare doesn't drive him to drink/use... nothing will.

Just saw on TV that he can be active on 11/27 I believe that gives us another year with him.
