Our luck is changing. Last year those injuries would have happened the week AFTER we played them It is changing. We won our first coin toss of the year last week. And had a lead.

The Texans traded Duane Brown to the Seahawks. This is a good thing for us.

he played one game this season then got traded.
watson was already on fire before dude played and didn't get hurt. so what would've happened if he got hurt with Brown playing?

Swish is right about the games played.
While I didn't want to draft Watson, I always liked the kid. I live in SC and I have only heard wonderful things about him. I am so happy he is doing well. He seems to be a great kid that almost everyone likes.
I do think he might be a little upset that they traded Brown, though. LOL
You could see that trade coming when Brown was so outspoken about the racist comments of the owner. That dude [the owner] should be under more fire.
I don't agree w/kneeling during the anthem, but man, what he said was freaking dead nuts wrong!

Just to clear something up ...
They were talking about trading Brown since the day he reported back to the team ... it was all ready a possibility ..
I’m not sure how much him bad mouthing the owner had to do with it ..
Actually .. Browns the one that talked them out of not playing ..
I’m just not sure the owners remarks had anything to do with it .. they may have ... just wanted u to know it was talked about before the owners meeting and the crap storm he created ..

oh yea definitely.
it's just crazy how it flipped. Now Houston has an offense that can't be stopped, but has a defense that can't stop anybody.
they proved they can survive and be good without Cushing and Watt. But Mercilus was too much to overcome.

Remember when they started Tom Savage week one? yea what a waste of time. but that's my opinion. as i say all the time, i'm with Tony Dungy. if you draft a guy to be the franchise, start his ass day one and get him the reps needed.

I think a lot of what you are saying is correct, but Brown was extremely outspoken before and after last week's games about the owner's comments.
Houston is not better w/out him. It sounds like a Brown's move.
Look bro...........I am a huge advocator of standing for the anthem. The simple fact that we actually have a choice tells me this country isn't that bad. However, what that douche said about the players was inexcusable. Inmates? No man. That's damn wrong.

I’m not defending him ... i agree with swish ... its just a saying he’s prolly used 100 times in different settings ..... but in todays times .. he can’t say that ... not in his position ..
Quite frankly .. he was reffering to the fact this is starting to hit their pocket books ... and its gonna get worse ... hes right in this regard ... hes protecting his business ... and made a dumb ass statement that was perceived in a way that he had nothing to do with what he actually meant ...
H was saying .. we can’t let the employees dictate ... obviously he chose a poor time to use that saying to make that point ... *L* ...
Not really here to have that discussion ... that’s HIS PROBLEM ... we got our own ... *L* ..
Like i said .. it may have had something to do with it ...
I just wanted u and the others to know what was being saying before he opened the new can of worms ...
Thats all ...

Not that it matters cause I don't have a say in it. But I will never listen to Draftnik stats and let them change my opinion.
I was originally all over Watson as in most were saying he had a down year (just won the National Championship thats all). But my thought process was that if he went into the draft in 2016 he was said to be the Overall #1 pick but did not come out. I said ok so he won't be overall #1 pick in 2017 but he is the same QB probably even a little better.
Then came the 49mph velocity thing and that nobody with a sub 50mph has ever made it in the NFL. Convinced me...never again will I change my original thoughts.
Why I'm sticking with Mayfield and hope to Goodness he is a Brown next season!
jmho he is THE ONE!
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!

While I'm still not fully on board with Mayfield, I like what I've seen so far and I'm leaning in that direction at this point.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I'm leaning toward Mayfield to, but I'll admit I really haven't watched tape on the bunch and I'm just going off of what I have seen on TV.

Mayfield is also on my research to do list as' well. I just have articles and YouTube, though. Don't watch any college outside OSU so I love when people talk about prospects. Learn a lot.

This isn't a Baker Mayfield response nor am trying to start a fight. But, imo the issue wasn't draftniks or stats as whole. The issue was the draftniks and the stats that you choose to believe. There were plenty of draftniks that had Watson as the top or one of the top QBs last year and there were plenty of stats that supported him being the top. When that non-sense pseudo stat about 49 mph was being talked about there were plenty of people that pointed out that it wasn't a real measure of velocity. Heck, I even posted the ESPN Sports science clip where the actually measured velocity and it was 53.5 mph not 49 mph. TLDR Its not that the correct info isn't out there. You have to hold yourself accountable about what info you choose to believe.

Texans are currently 3-4.
Remaining games:
@ Colts Rams Cardinals @ Ravens @ Titans 49ers @ Jaguars Steelers @ Colts
I wouldn't be shocked if they go 5-11 or worse. We could legitimately have two top five selections.

Hopefully nobody will come on here and call me an ageist, but sometimes older people can get stuck in their ways, and use phrases that aren't in vogue. Sensible people understood the analogy for what it meant: the players shouldn't run the league, and in general, employees should not run the business. Indeed, the response to those comments sure make it seem like the players are running the league, at least on this issue. How is that working out for them?

For the most part they just cherry pick to insult anyways. I know what I'm talking about and he is perfect for Hue and nothing would help this franchise get to the promise land then drafting Barclay and Mayfield next draft!

Let's assume they go 7-9, that should be around pick 16?

jmho Insult? It was never my intention to do so - that's not my modus operandi. It was my way of saying (in a humorous manner, hopefully) that there will be the odd poster who will remember and throw it back in your (not you specifically) face...

hi eotab I hope your feeling well i am getting ready to go on a fishing trip after having worked many 100 hrs week. My reason for not firing sashi is beacuse how much he got a done this year 1 drafting garrett 2 drafting peppers right now he is outplaying hooker and watson plus we may have a top 5 pick to go with him. 3 njoku all rookie team. 4 traded for Collins 5Got Gordon back 6 signed Zeitler and Tretter 7 Why is there not more critism directed at 5 other gm who did not give up there 2nd round pick for Garropolo 8 Hue has developed duke, dvalve, njokuo, and Coleman are right tackle these are the reasons you do not fire the front office.
