Well, that was an absolutely embarrassing butt kicking. Yet again they started down 7 before the game even got started. No excuses for this one. They were outclassed and outplayed from the get go.

The football fans all waving to the kids in the children's hospital was really touching, made me tear up even.

I watched it again and came across this person in the hospital with a cell phone in front of them. (I added some contrast, it was too white/bright.) It's definitely not a kid, it's someone with a lot of tats and black all around their eyes. This person looks kinda demonic, no? Very odd. In a hospital with kids? Was this person still dressing up, post Halloween? I don't know. Kinda freaked me out a tiny bit...ODD.

P.S. Crappy game. Oh well.

Anybody wanna coach STs at OSU? WE stunk it up. Next year?

Hats off to Iowa. This wasn't a loss; it was a beating. Practice better be special this week.

Not sure of anything after that horrorshow. This could be lively: Who gets the "Worst Game" ball(s). One goes to the special teams coaches. Any others?

Buckeyes offense hasn't been the same since Tom Herman left. Too many head-scratcher play calls. I think the D must miss Luke Fickell too; they are giving up so many big plays. Oh well, at least we should have an OSU game to watch New Years Day.

our biggest problem is we have a defense that gets shredded on a regular basis.

Pretty shocked to see how easily Iowa throttled OSU.

I thought Iowa had a chance, but not a smackdown.

Apparently, the Buckeyes thought they would fill in for the Browns on their bye week with our dose of sorry football.

...I wonder how long before the media starts connecting Ferentz to the Browns again?

I think because there is only 4 teams in the NCAA Playoffs it puts tremendous pressure on schools like Ohio State and Penn State to only lose once to have a chance and I think after that great comeback the Buckeyes exhaled and forgot to inhale for Iowa ... JMHO

Brutal game yesterday. The defense was horrible. JT Barrett was not good, and Kevin Wilson called a horrible game. Run the damn ball. It's not really that difficult.

Sucks that the season is over (you're not getting in with two losses, just like Penn State won the B1G and didn't get in because they had two losses) so I guess just beat Michigan and get a decent bowl game.

What really hurts is that I don't really think the teams at the top of the polls are really all that great. Bama has yet to actually play anyone, Georgia is decent, Notre Dame really? Clemson, etc.. Would have been up for grabs this year. Oh well.

Fitting that this thread has 'Take Two' in the title. Definitely a game where you do a double take.

Had to listen to it on my phone, kept waiting for that 'Penn State' comeback moment that never came.

It was like watching the Browns. Every move they made was the wrong move.

There was a set of plays in the second quarter where two lineman went out with injuries on consecutive snaps, JT fumbled the ball, then after a punt, on Iowa's possession, Bosa gets ejected on a pretty weak call (I get that he made contact, but he landed on both of his feet and barely touched him, that's awful to throw out a player for that) then Iowa scores. I think on the next OSU possession JT threw another pick. Life comes at you fast, and those players learned the hard way yesterday.

The coaches really did not do their players any favors.

Ohio State has been ranked above ND for years. We have beaten you in the head-to-head matchups.

That was a rough game to watch. I was livid. It's so different than watching the Browns. I expect OSU to win and when they don't, it's heart-wrenching. To get embarrassed like that was very upsetting.

I do want to comment on the "The Wave." I thought that was really cool. Even Urban walked out onto the field to wave at the kids in the Children's Hospital. I can't believe I had never heard of that tradition before, but what a great one it is! Nice job, Iowa football. thumbsup

Between the OSU/Iowa game, the usual Browns and the Cavs and Hawks game... one of the more horrid Ohio sport weekends out there.

Rough, very, very rough.

That tradition is practically brand new. They built that hospital quite recently.

The way I see it, all of us Cleveland/OSU sports fans have been spoiled the last few years...

Ohio State has been to the playoff twice, and won the whole thing in its inaugural year.

The Cavs have been to the finals in 3 straight years and won it last year.

The Indians have been to the playoffs in consecutive years with a trip to the World Series, and look to be contenders the next couple years.

The Browns.... have a lot of draft picks every year so every April we're big players in the draft (lol)

If you look back like 5 years ago...

The Browns were still horrible.
Lebron was in Miami winning titles and the Cavs were horrible.
The Indians, pre-Tito, were floundering.
Ohio State was in the midst of a "scandal" that did not allow them to compete for post-season.

I think we went a few years in a row without even having a playoff apperance (especially if you don't count the wild card game, which I don't really count that)

I don't get all that upset when Ohio State loses. They're at the top of the food chain in college football, and have been so longer than any other program. Saturday sucked, but it is what it is, and I still will be heavily interested in the playoff (for other schools).

I feel for the kids, because I really think they may look back and realize that they missed out on some really awesome opportunities.

The hospital just opened in early 2017 and the wave started as a small thing in September. It's only been a "big thing" for about 4 games now... but it is pretty damn cool.

I have to admit Vers, I get level of expectations and all.. but Meyer has been there for what, 7 years now? OSU has been in the top 10 final rankings every year but one.. is in contention to compete for the Big 10 every year.... Have they even had a 3 loss season since he's been there?

There are literally like 127 other Division 1 college football team fans that would LOVE to complain about one.. just one... embarrassing loss and all of the "OH what is wrong with us" attitude...

Don't get me wrong, I get that OSU is always good, anything less than competing for a NC is considered a lost season... it's just funny looking at it from the outside as a fan of a team that would kill for a 7 or 8 win season every once in a while... (like a lot of fans).. all of this gnashing of teeth is a bit funny.

I think they may lose one or two more. Especially if Barrett helps with inconsistency and bizarro play calling.

After the Iowa beating, I'm less enthused about this morning than I usually am with OSU games.

I think the Browns are too much an influence but let's hope OSU gets back on track. Michigan, Michigan St... I don't care, roll over em'!

Dobbins is such a great back. I feel we steer away from him as games go on and for negative reasoning. I really do dislike the OSU offensive play caller.

And just as I speak about DObbins, Weber runs it for a TD on one of the better rush defense teams.

This dumb OC needs to continue to dial in run plays and alternate Weber and Dobbins.

Really happy Weber pulled that off, tough to see your starting spot go to a new guy (not that I'm not rooting for Dobbins too), but y'know...

MSU's offense looks bad too

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."
