Just wonder who we favor as back up. Kizer starts hurt. So we fall on leftovers for help if he goes down with an injury.
IMO neither has much good to recommend being backup. Who gives us better service? It seems like this is a mad dash to the bottom, a crappy kind of limbo competition ("How low can you go?"). So in the battle for backup, what is most important to you? Which is your #2 and why?
Do you dress three? If so, why?

I would make Hogan the backup. I think Kessler is a dud. I hate looking at the guy. Hogan might come in and throw it around. It might be to the other team...LOL....but, at least he'll throw it.

Kessler should never see the field again for us. Ever. When we drafted him I thought he could be a long term backup. He's not that.

I think Hogan is a more complementary back up than Kessler. By that, I mean that if Kizer goes down, Hogan is more like Kizer ability-wise than Kessler. Not a knock on Kessler, he's just more of a Brian Hoyer type of QB.

Do you dress three? If so, why? Hi Ya I played QB in 7th grade hire me. Of course I'm 65 and can't throw a football anymore. So I could fit right in. My laser throw would be 5 yrds maybe. I know this is supposed to be in purple but you got what you got.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Two lousy QBs. Either way, neither can win a football game. That said, make Hogan the backup. He can use his legs better.

Hogan. Not even close. Another reason why I question Hue.

I'll go with this... if Kizer gets hurt and we have a 20 point lead, put in Kessler to protect the lead.. under any other circumstances, put in Hogan.
But in the grand scheme of things, all 3 have started, all 3 are 0-fer... Kizer is the only one who has come even remotely close to winning a game.. I have very low expectations that we will win and if we have to go to a back-up, those expectations become pretty much zero.

Honestly I'm done with Cody. Hogan is the backup. Cody is not even backup material, so it's best to just give the reps to someone else. I don't think he's on the roster next season.

Agreed. Cody won't be on the roster because we will be drafting a QB with our 1st #1. He'll be odd man out.

I agree with this. Kessler is afraid to the throw the ball. He gets sacked 2 out of every 3 plays. That doesn't even make any sense in a professional setting.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

He gets sacked 2 out of every 3 plays. That doesn't even make any sense in a professional setting. Our odds of scoring would be higher if we ran all-run wildcat offense. If Kessler is back to pass, I know we'll end up punting on 4th and 20-something. What's the point? Heck, punting on 1st down would benefit us in field position more.

Kessler cause if we can have drives to possibly win I would take him over Hogan...Hogan is more mobile.
Actually if I was Hue due to Kizer's ribs I would keep all 3 active.
jmho but honestly the choice between the two back ups is not much of a choice.... hmmm would I rather hold a piece of crap in my hand or a Ball of Snot...not much of a choice.

A rookie and a veteran will be brought in. I vote Hogan and I've always been a Kessler guy. And I agree with this. If everyone remains in place I see someone like tyrod coming, keeping Kizer, and drafting another.

Tight spiral while it lasts, I bet. LOL
I agree with your qualifications. As soon as we drop a few surplus million on a draft pick, you can be the next QB we never use. Berea will call you; 1-800-MONEYBALL.
Or you might be Kessler's replacement. Pretty sure Hue has a feeling about now.
Thanks for playing.

That's just crazy talk! And I totally agree that this gets priority this draft.
If nothing else, QB. The disconnect for me remains the same. We take guys who play badly, but say we need to play them to see what we have. We are drafting projects not players, and we must know what they are not pretty well. Get A player, a proven, and develop away. Stop doing this over and over. This isn't development with Kizer; and where is Kessler? What did we see? I think we sell him a PSL for the season so he can contribute something and call it a season.

Hue is learning all kinds of important lessons. And I'd go with Hogan as backup. No brainer for me.

I'm baffled by Kessler. I forget which games but when he initially came in for Kizer (Tenn?), he was accurate, decisive, was rallying the guys in the huddle, made a couple of really nice throws. Then, his next outing in relief, he looks like I've quantum leaped into his body.
The divergence is absolutely baffling. I think he has skills. He is accurate. I'm not saying he is the answer. I'm just baffled.

None of this matters, Kizer is playin the whole game. Bank it!
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Said it about Kessler and Kizer? Like going with Romeo's gut it seems. I do not trust him or FO. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

But didn't Hue tell us " Trust me " when it came to drafting Kessler ?? Yep, and Depo told us that Wentz wasn't a top 20 QB. Which crime is worse?

Which one can be fixed? We engineered a whole bunch of this drama. I would say Kessler, because he is here.
Wentz is a detail. Starter we passed on, but Kessler we missed on. JMO. Interesting question, Vers.

Talent wise Hue was correct. Kessler is very accurate usually those type of QBs would have a field day with Hue's offense. I think its pretty shallow for posters to keep bringing that up as if it actually means something about Hue. He was saying to trust him on PICKING HIM IN THE 3rd ROUND...not 4th or 5th where he was projected on going. What part of that don't you guys understand. You act as if he took him in the FIRST Round and said that.
If because of that you all thought we had a sure Franchise QB and got disappointed...well that ain't Hue's fault.
Lets get real here.

if kessler could come off the bench and play like he did last year he would be the starter....he just seems to have lost something.
I`m good with Baker... Playoffs is good enough for me.

Glad to oblige the board. I need to borrow the attitude wrench as well when somebody else is through with it.
By insisting on playing him, this is where Hue has placed the bar. Is it just to prove how inadequate we are at QB? Peppers and punts do not go together at all. Make it stop.
Speaking of stops, our D got it done, kudos! A few stops, but the Not So Special K wasted that. Our fourth quarters look bad then worse. The irony in the post-game interviews is maddening. This could have been ours.
