Along with the c-word they're currently the most powerfully negative, harmful words in the english language.

In the last 50 years, I've rarely heard them (other than African Americans referring to each other in casual conversation - I guess that's OK).

The people using the N-word towards Kaep know it's meaning, context and how hateful it is. And they're more than comfortable. By saying they're "uncomfortable", it sounds like they're blaming Kaep for making them use it towards him. Like an abusive husband blaming the wife for talking back to him, "you made me beat the crap out of you. That's not how hate/abuse works. You can disagree with Kaep, even hate him, but using that word crosses the line. They sound like members of the KKK then.

As for the N-word and it's usage within it's group, it doesn't have the same powerful meaning, as you said. I would prefer the word be scrubbed from existence, but nobody listens to me.

Kap did not vote. Kap wore socks w/pigs dressed as cops. Kap has been accused of gang rape. Kap has supported Fidel Castro while claiming that our country is oppressive.

I'm sorry, but I don't see how that warrants him being Citizen of the Year.

Don't really want to argue about it w/guys like Swish. Instead, I am simply expressing my opinion. I hope that's still okay in today's world?

We don't often agree, but we have found common ground here.

The guy is an absolute joke and clown.

This is a men's fashion magazine. They put CK to sell subscriptions. CK got used. Not sure why this award is important/relevant in the first place.

At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.
