The Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in Washington admitted one of its aircraft was involved in drawing lewd images in the sky Thursday.
Residents of Okanogan County, Wash., sent photos of the obscene skywritings to KREM. The photos resembled a phallic symbol.
One woman told KREM that she was “upset” and was unsure how to describe the drawings to her young children.
Officials from the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island told KREM in a statement that the drawings were “absolutely unacceptable.”
"The Navy holds its aircrew to the highest standards and we find this absolutely unacceptable, of zero training value and we are holding the crew accountable,” Navy officials told KREM.

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
if she only knew what the kids were drawing and saying during recess at school lol

The offense is defined in the punitive code, Article 133, of the United States Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), enacted at 10 U.S.C. § 933. Article 133. Conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman: Any commissioned officer, cadet, or midshipman who is convicted of conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
-Just saying that this can be more serious than anyone knew.
yea but i doubt he's gonna get serious UCMJ action for this.
especially since the military has a nasty shortage of pilots they are dealing with.

Hahahaha! Austin is the first thing I thought of when I heard this story. That scene is hilarious and so is this story. Anyone "upset" about this needs a stiff drink.

Pilots have always been above everyone, especially in their own minds. They do crazy stuff all the time, I had a WO pilot buddy at ft. campbell..dude was completely nuts, He used to let me get seat time in the simulators if we got there early and the prior didn't show, so there was that.
Also had a couple AF pilots when doing ramp jump from C130 that decided as we shuffled down the ramp, the plane wasn't high enough and pulled the nose up make us all pretty much run out, it was static so not that big of a deal but shows you they are pretty nuts. Def. not as scary as checking your chute log and seeing packed by mickey mouse inspected by donald duck. Yeah riggers are A-holes too
So this is just some fun. I don't see it a big deal. This PC world we live in now is just ridiculous. I'll bet dollars to donuts that the Navy brass got a chuckle out of it too. They may say the PC thing, but I'm positive they are laughing about it too. It wasn't dangerous and no one got hurt
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. -John Wayne

Chute packed by Donald or Mickey was pretty funny and not all that uncommon. We just laughed it off and added it to the list of reasons to mess with the riggers . I hated those pilots who took joy out of mapping the earth a little too vigorously to see how many troops they could make puke . Always brought a smile though when we left the presents for the crew to clean up .
In the age of near constant war this is what we worry about ?
First off, I think we all need to be in awe at the excellent training our military is now receiving under president trump. For a pilot to accomplish this, that takes hours upon hours of training. Kudos!
We live in a world with "eff Obama" and "eff trump" stickers, so for anyone to say that is ok and this is offensive, well.....seems partisan.
How to explain it to your kids? Tell them its a top hat.
