That cop made a pretty nice tackle. He broke down well and wrapped him up nice.

tab, I could post more on Faker Mayfield, but it would be inappropriate. Dude is a punk!
And no way do we draft him after the Manziel fiasco.

I remember have the same position on TJ Ward, and I owned it. But TJ from the moment he started he was improving on his habits, Peppers still looks like a fool on many plays.
Peppers is the worst player on the team... and I will gladly heat my hat on this one... Just an interesting side note - Peppers had his best game against the Jags. He was the 5th highest graded Brown at 80.4 per PFF. Gipson got a grade of 80.5 that game. Peppers is underrated. He's not 1/5th as bad as you're claiming - and again, I'm stunned at just how many people are giving up on rookies. It's madness. We should literally trade away every single draft pick we will ever have if fans are going to be so bullish about young players. They'll make mistakes. You're more than welcome to head down to Berea and do a better job. When you regain consciousness, you can tell us about how undersized Jabrill is.

Actually I apologize for calling you clueless. You're most likely not, and I don't want to hit below the belt. I also don't appreciate the insults you throw at me and other posters. I don't come here for that.
I apologize to you anyone that I may have insulted. We can argue our opinions until pigs fly without all the insults. You're better than that, we're all better than that.
Have a good thanksgiving.

I didn't insult you. I was talking about Mayfield. Not sure why you would think I was insulting you?
Mayfield has had a series of negative character events. I'm afraid to even post what he did during the Kansas game because of his actions and word choice.
A lot of people said we couldn't draft Dak a couple of years ago because of Manziel, so I can't see them taking Mayfield. However, I could be wrong.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too.

I’ll call a stupid opinion stupid ... doesn’t make the poster stupid it just means thats a stupid opinion .. i have them all the time ... *L* Case in point ... thinking a LAWYER having the FINAL SAY on ALL PERSONAL DECISIONS is a good idea .... thats simply MORONIC .... U may want to go the route of BDU and put me on IGNORE ... u more than likely won’t enjoy my posts ... At least I’m honest ...

And no way do we draft him after the Manziel fiasco. I had no doubt that is how you would view him. He is no where close to Manziel except that he is the Offense for his team...outside of that very different. I hope we draft him but that means we would have to pass on a QB with our first pick. He will be there in the 2nd round when we pick. But I don't see us not taking a QB at top 5 that we would have. Our guys just might trade back for more picks...an uproar would happen here.
But I seriously doubt he would end up on our team.
Look for the Pats or possibly the Steelers to end up with him. I don't assume kids are punks. The biggest difference from he and Manziel...the later was ENTITLEMENT through and through...Mayfield has earned everything he has gotten and has a chip on his shoulder which he delivers on!

I'll have to side with Vers on this one. Baker might have put in more work than Manziel, but he's had his share of entitlement as well (I'm looking at lack of/lightness of punishments). Mayfield being a punk isn't really an assumption either, there is ample evidence. Sometimes that chip on his shoulder is literally expressed with his middle fingers.
He might turn into a decent pro, but he'll have to grow up a lot to do so.

He does not have the faintest idea on what tackling is. He Hits he does not Tackle.
Wont bother to discuss this with you as it would just end up with me insulting you.
let me know when you actually wish to discuss football.
Vers did he really get arrested??? for what trying to run????
How could he not evade those guys...lol he should have spun and reversed his field.
Seriously is this for real? The one who could question if you are being serious in this case is me... If Peppers turns it around, then maybe you can get back to your high horse, but for now.... Taking in consideration Peppers level of game, and the missed tackles and the many times he made himself look like a fool, how can you say he is a good tackler... All games I see from Peppers I continue to see him disrespect several fundamentals of tackling, yet you persist in saying he is a good tackler.... I think you say you are involved in coaching, so I'm kind of wondering where your opinion on Peppers being a good tackler comes. And by the way, this was already an issue with him in Michigan.. Also I cannot see what the position he plays is material to him not being good with the fundamentals of a D player. Peppers has never been an oversized DB he is an undersized LB, undersized and not a good one IMHO.

First off Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow posters. As far as Mayfield is concerned, I don't think we should take him. We've had enough discipline problems with our players and we don't need any more distractions. He may be alright going to a team like the Pats, Steelers, or Broncos but not here where there isn't enough veteran presence. Josh Rosen seems like the best pick for us at this time. JMO

Peppers is toast.
He was toast when we drafted him.
He was obviously undraftable when he sat out the Orange Bowl with a one day hamstring injury.
And watched the game indoors.
If he had actually been unable to play, he should have been on the sideline cheering his team on.
He's a major character flaw.

It is assumption/opinion because there are plenty of people who don't view Mayfield as a punk.
I believe Mayfield is everything you look for in a quarterback at this level minus 2 inches.

I don’t know enough about him either way ... but i agree with tabber ... he’s no Johnny Manziel ... from what i’ve read he’s not an UNDISCIPLINED, PARTIER that always has to be the BMOC ...
It seems like he’s ultra competitive with a TEMPER .... thats not what Manziel problem was ... NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!!

You can't win in the NFL with a offense ranked 32nd.it seems like every year the Browns offense 30th 32nd The rebuild should have started with offensive side 1st i.e getting your franchise qb. In order to make the playoffs teams have to average 23 24 pts a game. Defenses can't carry teams anymore to the playoffs It's a offensive driven league. But Sashi and analytics crew fail to see as such They aren't as smart as they think Their isn't one player on offense that touches the ball That is not in the top 10 of his position on the Browns

I have no sides...I have been studying this kid most of the year...last 6 games every play.
He is nothing like Manziel, nothing.
Entitlement...again he's a freaking WALK ON.
Nothing wrong, he was drunk, panicked and made a real poor error in judgment in trying to run. Kid is not a Drunk, he works real hard in the film room. Sure he will have to learn to curb his demeanor and mature. No need to be so HARD CORE in his disdain for the opponent.
But football wise I love him. And its his football that is nothing like Manziel's. He does progressions, he makes reads he has a PLAY BOOK He is tougher he is bigger.
Football wise he reminds me so much of Rodgers not Manziel.
So side wherever you wish. I did my homework and again that is not of the TMZ research but simply football. The kid will be a winner in the NFL. I don't care what anyone thinks cause 5 years from now it will be of the subject of MAN WE COULD HAVE HAD THAT GUY!...I'm sick of that subject!
jmho.

I'd also like to point out the amount of talent Oklahoma lost from last year to the NFL. Starting wideout, running back, etc. And yet there is Oklahoma right there in the thick of the NCAA playoffs again.
I believe mayfield is the quarterback we've been looking for.

Looking at the offense the passing game represent the biggest risk of failure.
They lost there most productive players at WR and TE. I can see the argument that Britt is as productive as Pryor but Britt is entering a new offense and new situation.
There's isn't any question (for me at least) that Njoku is more talented then Gary BUT David's a rookie learning a new offense on top of transitioning to the NFL.
The best shot I can see for improvement in the passing game is IF Coleman is a stud.
Everyone else is going to be entering into a new offense or new role or both.

I believe mayfield is the quarterback we've been looking for. If they lost a WR and an RB, then they returned everyone else. Phil Steele lists Oklahoma as having 9 returning starters on Offense. Link Oklahoma is pretty much RB-U. All American TE came back. Entire OL is back and mauls people.

I wouldn't draft any qb from Norman Ok. Historically they just don't fare well in the NFL. Most qbs from the Big 12 just can't translate to success in the NFL Want no part of Mayfield . There's nothing he does on GameDay that makes you go wow he's special

Only Sam Bradford had an expectations and he hasn't been horrible. Link Most qbs from the Big 12 just can't translate to success in the NFL Why? Want no part of Mayfield . There's nothing he does on GameDay that makes you go wow he's special So you don't watch football?

Mayfield's size is concerning, IMO.
And I'm not a big college football guy, but I keep hearing they don't play D in the Big 12. Could be another red flag.
All I know is when I watch Rosen, I think it's Sunday.
Draft Rosen. Don't make it complicated. Draft Rosen and don't look back.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

you know who has the size, speed, and the arm to make all the throws?
Lamar Jackson.

Draft Rosen. Don't make it complicated. Draft Rosen and don't look back. This is comical. Rosen isn't as good a Mayfield, he isn't as good as Darnold. A third choice at best. If The Browns draft Rosen, Kizer will be the better quarterback in camp and beat him out, rightfully, for the starting role, not just next year, but continually until they bring someone else in. How do Browns fans sniff out a guy who seems just like Frye or Quinn, but they have with Rosen. You are up, just go get the Best player available in all of college football. I'm advocating they take the "going to be Heisman trophe winner". Everybody else is on here trying to say they should take a guy who doesn't even have a winning record in College football. And they don't play " defense" in a LOT of college football, not just the Big 12. Lord knows ARIZ wasn't playing Defense when they played USC.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I believe mayfield is the quarterback we've been looking for. After reading a story last week about Mayfield should stop apologizing for being himself, and that it came from a New York newspaper. I have suspicions that someone in New York, wants one of the Jets or Giants to end up with him.

I'm telling you bro, he is everything Hue wants. Lamar is dynamic. None of the other guys coming out are dynamic. they just look the part, and people like Mayfield cause he's Manziel returned.
you draft jackson and Barkley 1a and 1B, and you unleash havoc with duke, gordon, and coleman.

I sometimes wonder if people have lost too many brain cells by being tortured into watching the suck that is the Browns for too long.
Baker Mayfield? You've GOT to be kidding me. We drafted him once already. Johnny Manziel. I quit watching this wretched franchise when we made that decision. You see how well it worked out. If we draft Mayfield I won't even follow the scores/discussions online anymore.
Lamar Jackson? Meh. He might turn into DeShaun Watson. He might be Teddy Bridgewater. More than likely he's RG3. He COULD be an okay pro. He also could be a bust. Put him on this stinking dung pile of a team? Not gonna be pretty IMO.
Darnold - might just go back to USC just to avoid coming to Cleveland. Smart decision on his part.
But at this point it's all academic. You draft Josh Rosen - and there's not anybody even close for #1B.
He has the arm. He has the ability to read defenses post-snap (to the amount he's had to be tested so far in NCAA). He has other-worldly accuracy to all levels. Quick release. His form is perfection - he gets so much velocity on his throws and it's just effortless. Good size. Good pocket presence. Commands the huddle. Runs a pro style offense and not a shotgun/spread gimmick garbage. He can literally make all the throws.
He's the best QB prospect since Andrew Luck and he might actually be better.
At the time I said I'd trade our entire draft for the chance to get Luck, and I'd do the same for Rosen. Fortunately we've sucked so bad we'll actually earn the chance to get him without having to trade our whole draft.
Don't Browns the decision. Draft Josh Rosen. Fax the card to the league office the day the season ends.
Anything else is completely and utterly idiotic.

best prospect since luck?
Rosen has to be the stiffest guy in the pocket out of any prospect coming out.
I rather trade for mike glennon than draft Rosen. they are the same player.

I don't give a crap how mobile my QB is. All he needs to do is have pocket presence to move an inch/foot here and there to avoid pressure. Especially when he has the brain to process information quickly and the arm talent to exploit it.
Joe Montana was not mobile. Bernie Kosar was not mobile. I'll take them every day and twice on Sunday.
Mike Glennon? You can't be serious man. Rosen is better than Glennon today/yesterday and for the next 10+ years. Mike Glennon is a fringe backup NFL QB. Rosen is going to be a franchise QB for a decade.
