I only got to listen to part of the game on the radio on the way home from work. If you are Sirius subscriber you get every game. It's really cool.
Some thoughts:
--They had the dumbest question on espn.com today. Will Simmons win more titles than LeBron? Really? Come on. I can understand "Is Simmons the next LeBron?". Anyway, I think Stephen A. shut it down. But LeBron came out in tonight's game and basically said there is only one LeBron James, 23 years old or 33 years old, there's only one LeBron James. Very Jordan-esque.
--LeBron is famous for taking care of his body. I think he'll be able to play at a high level for a few more years. Maybe he'll pull a Brady.
--Moving Wade to 2nd unit was such a good move. He's still so good he basically just has his way with the other teams 2nd unit. We are sparing him wear and tear on his body. Should be ready to go for the playoffs. Such a smart and great basketball player. He was one of my favorite players before joining the Cavs.
--I hope the rumors are true. Please trade TT for Jordan. You'd be adding Thomas and Jordan to the current team. Would also love a trade for Okafor but I don't know the backstory on the guy. It seems teams don't want to touch him. Why?
--I said several games ago they should move Calderon into the starting lineup just to keep things calm and knowing he's not going to do anything stupid. Another good move by Lue. He's not going to get you any points, but he's not going to let the team get all disheveled either.
--Really disappointed in Love. I know he's playing out of position, but with Kyrie gone I expected to see a different Love.
--Really disappointed in Crowder as well. I thought he was a good D player but I haven't seen it. I hope more time playing with these guys will help.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

j/c:
Did a bit of research on Rose this evening. A lot of troubling comments out there by guys like LeBron, Wade, and S. A. Smith.
Sounds to me like the dude is having some very real personal issues that go beyond his injuries. I've always thought that the dude had the "look of the street" on his face and especially his eyes. Not sure if many will get what I mean, but some of you will.
I hope he finds some peace and some answers. There are more important things than BB.

Definitely. You can tell by the demeanor he has that he’s seen some ish that nobody should grow up seeing.
Growing up in chiraq......I grew up in the hood, but I can’t imagine growing up there. That’s the epitome of rough.

Bro, I have seen little children have the haunted, soulless eyes that only years of generational poverty and abuse can inflict on human beings. It's so freaking sad!
Those kids were always "projects" of mine because I so desperately wanted to help them...you know......to get them to "feel." But bro, it's a tough road.

My parents neighbor is LeBron's personal physiologist. Travels with him everywhere and monitors his diet, workout routine, recovery techniques, treatments and all regimens of his life. It is indeed, very Brady-esque.

Yea, due to the environment, a lot of these kids already have their emotions completely shut down.
You’re not allowed to show any weakness growing up like that. It only makes you a target.

Have you ever watched some of the interviews with rose back in his Bull days?
It was like hearing similar things to Lebron. Growing up rough, being a nba star is way more than money and fam for guys like them. It’s about representing where they are from and trying to uplift the community. They are always talking about Akron or Chicago. They are so attached to their cities because of the way they grew up.
Sometimes there are people who don’t realize how uplifting sports can be. Like, how many more people would we see involved in gangs and drugs if it wasn’t for sports programs. Sometimes sports is the one thing that save these kids lives.

I haven't, but I believe it.
Not to ignore Rose, but isn't it amazing how LeBron has turned out? I think some of his know the stuff w/his mom, but look at LeBron. He never let that stuff drag him down. Dude never gets in trouble. Handles himself w/class. Speaks out on social issues in a positive manner. Helps his community. Yet, he is his own man.
I think he should be in consideration for Man of the Year. I have a ton of respect for the dude.

Would also love a trade for Okafor but I don't know the backstory on the guy. It seems teams don't want to touch him. Why? This article explains the situation well. Sounds like he's an innocent victim in FO politics. I'd love to see him in a Cavs uni. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/21581687/jahlil-okafor-philadelphia-76ers-limbo-hoping-resolution

Growing up in chiraq......I grew up in the hood, but I can’t imagine growing up there. That’s the epitome of rough. the reports are he's just depressed being hurt constantly. The fact that the cavs have been on a winning streak despite his injury has messed with him too. I totally understand that, you want to feel as if you're needed and a vital piece to success, and when your team succeeds without you.... I think he'll eventually be back this year. I think we do need him, but he's more of the cherry on top and really would come in handy during playoffs, but regular season, let him tak his time

You know I actually wonder about that.
We have 4 people injured right now. Rose, Thomas, shump, and TT.
We are playing really good ball, a very nice winning streak, and our defense have vastly improved.
While defense might hurt a tad bit with IT coming back, his scoring ability makes up for that.
Shump is a good defender off the bench and can get hot sometimes.
But.....and I hope I don’t get creamed for this, do we REALLY need rose and TT back? Right now in our current lineups, everyone has the aboitlity to get hot.
The sixers lowered the cost of okafor to a second rounder. What if we can do a one for one swap trade and go get him?

The sixers lowered the cost of okafor to a second rounder. What if we can do a one for one swap trade and go get him? yeah, thats my thought, and I've always thought TT benefited from playing with lebron and not because he's this great player. He hasn't done anything to improve his game, now you have Frye out there with Korver on the same side of the court at times and it causes the defense fits because they have to account for both, swap frye for TT and all of a sudden you give the defense an option. Plus with Frye over TT you get spacing that allows wade to be wade. I think TT getting hurt has proven he's very much replaceable. I'd trade TT for Okafor in a heartbeat, same with shump, while he can be good on defense, he disrupts the offense with his horrible offense and decision making.. He's just too inconsistent. They two of the worst contracts. Of the two, I'd keep shump just because he can defend the perimeter which will come up big in a series with GS. TT really doesn't provide anything that isn't replaced anymore. TT has basically become Andy without any offense. Great thing about all this, we have a guy sitting on bench that can get you 30 a game consistently, thats going to be a huge boost. I think rose/Wade with the second unit will give teams alot of trouble as they both can attack and slash, teamed up with shooters like Korver and Frye and you have an even better bench. Not sure how TT fits into it. I think he's a square peg in a round hole at this point.

We're going to need TT's rebounds in the playoff stretch. Even during this streak we've been giving up a lot of second chances. I just hope he hasn't gotten lazy living the Kardashian lifestyle, lol.

You’ll need TT. Too good of a defender and rebounder. Still think he has a role. Don’t get me wrong the contract isn’t great and if someone wanted him the cavs would sit down with ya. Rose? Sucks but you can’t count on him. It’s sad because at times he seemed like the old D-Rose.

Think this bodes well for a Jordan trade. Clippers might as well tear it down.

I'm not even sure why they kept him. I mean, he's fantastic, but he's always hurt. Heck, he even hurts himself when punching team employees.

The heat scored 24 points in the 1st quarter.
Love has 22 points in the 1st quarter. Cavs lead 35-24.

Hes barely average while being paid elite. He’s gotten worse last two years, he simply hasn’t worked on his game. I think it comes down to who do take minutes away from to play TT
