I don't think you are exaggerating too much. Everyone I have talked to today was appalled by what happened in Knoxville. The angry mob of college kids have realized that if they make enough noise, they can get almost anything they want from administrations that would rather just stay out of the news.. want a professor fired? want a campus rule changed? want a speaker banned? want a coach fired? You can have all of this and more with an active social media campaign and a whole bunch of righteous indignation over things you know very little about. I agree. Tennessee had a shot at a quality coach, and screwed the pooch. I have lived in Tennessee for over 40 years, but am nothing more than a casual fan since it is the state in which I live. I am a Gator, but pull for the Vols when necessary and called for due to state pride. I love the state of Tennessee. It's a shame.

Jim Bob Cooter coaching Tennessee would have been one of the greatest fits of all time. I em always prayed he'd be a fantastic coach... can you imagine if he won a national championship!!

Tennessee has been so mismanaged it's crazy ... right now, if I were a quality candidate I'd never consider going there

It was only 1998 that the Vols were the consensus National Champion. (AP, USAToday/ESPN, BCS)

Alabama and Georgia didn’t lose to A BUM ASS TEAM ... and your boys got beat worse by the BUM ASS TEAM than Alabama did Auburn ... u guys got your ASSES HANDED TO U by a 500 FOOTBALL TEAM!!!
your “signature” win is against PSU ... WHO THE HELL HAVE THEY BEATEN .... same with WISCONSIN ... they ‘d come in 5th place in the SEC if they were lucky ... both PSU and Wisconsin’s out of conference schedules were DISGRACEFUL ..
at least u guys played OU ... who also WHOOPED your asses ...
PSU lost to MSU ... a team my “crappy” team DESTROYED at their place ...
My “CRAPPY” team DESTROYED the team that your biggest win LOST TOO ...
There’s no way in hell a 2 loss OSU team gets in over a 1 loss Bama team ..
I dont watch ESPN ... HAVENT FOR 20 YEARS .. quit when they turned from sports to Comedy Central .. now they’ve become a liberal rag ....
I would agree that Bama is down .. Georgia is a real good footblall team thats way better than they’ve been in a LONG LONG TIME ... Auburn is playing GREAT FOOTBALL right now ... i hope the injury to their RB doesn’t keep him out this weekend ...
U can bash the SEC all u want ... the big 10 is way down also ... your conference STINKS this year ...

I think you are full of hot air on this one. I think the SEC has been regressing the past couple of years and was pretty awful this year.
Alabama didn't beat anyone this year and were physically destroyed by a two-loss team. Georgia didn't beat anyone, unless you think your team is good. LOL
Saying the SEC has three top teams is whacked, but they do get a lot of attention and acclaim, especially considering ESPN paid them a fortune. If the Buckeyes lost to Iowa (Schmiowa), and lost to a really good Oklahoma team 31-17, 31-14, doesn't matter, I've had Ohio St. out of it for 4 weeks, their ceiling is 5, unless everybody had 2 losses. But there is one argument that doesn't have anybody saying it, and it has nothing to do with this year. (There's a little line in a movie called "A few good men" from an actor Richard Jeni, (God rest his soul), IIRC. Where he says " the Judge will object, it will be stricken from the record but not from the minds of the Jury".) The one argument, is ALL these committee members are over 30 years, everybody knows, that not only has Alabama, won it all like 7? times in the past 20 years, but everytime the Big 10 sends it's quote ""Champion"" to a bowl and it's not Ohio State or Michigan, they get Boatraced, Blown out, and this theme goes on for 30 years. So for 15+ years, I've been on the Big10's side of the argument, made that argument for them, but of all the years, I think the Big 10 should be left out. I want to see the best 4 teams. I think if, Okla. Clemson, Alabama, and the Auburn/Georgia winner, (Georgia), are the final 4 teams, Then you'd this year have the 4 best teams, and Anything could happen. And I agree, Wisconsin "will" get in, but I don't agree that they "should" even if they blow out Ohio State, which twice has played a bad game with little offensive effectiveness, because it looks like Wisconsin played a lot of middle to less than middle of the road teams, and, who cares if you go unbeaten if you win 30 poor oppenents or 16 poor oppenents, then what does record get you? And also, nobody's saying, Buckeye's number 1 player, Knee scope, this week. So It "shouldn't" matter that Bama won it / wins it , year in and year out, But it's in peoples minds, and it "should" matter that you have a coach that won it all so often, to deciding the team is "one of the best 4".
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

what a disaster at Tennessee ... and if you follow Clay Travis' podcast (he's VERY connected with the program) it's basically at Haslams fault

Well worth a watch if you have 20m or so. https://www.pscp.tv/w/1yoKMMqlYRjKQ

Are you willing to provide a summary? I watched it earlier too ... basically: the haslams are used to controlling everything to do with UT ... the hires, the personnel, the facilities ... they call the SHOTS with the boosters when it came time to hire the OLD AD (curie), the haslams, the chancellor, and Peyton Manning did the interviews. They did it behind closed doors so that they could manipulate the hire. Many people wanted Phil Fulmer, but they chose Curie (who they could puppet and control) ... and even bribed Peyton to go along with it and go against his old coach. What did they bribe him with? The promise that the Mannings would own part of an NFL team in the near future. This made the other boosters TICKED off. They are tired of the Haslams calling the shots and throwing their money around (and doing so unsuccessfully). So when Schiano was picked (also done by Jimmy Haslam), this was the chance for a coup amongst the boosters and fans and media ... they totally revolted and used PSU scandal as the "reason" for their disapproval ... but it was really a power play back at the Haslams. So, now the entire university is split ... the boosters, the board, athletics, etc

Man, that sounds messed up! Big time!
Anyone else hoping the NFL forces Jimmy to sell the team?

Why is it the Browns can’t draft a receiver with hands?!

Maybe we could fire Hue and hire Shaw. Passing on a FG late in the 4th to tie the game and then onside kicking it when there was time to stop them.
Brilliant!
