Hopefully, it's a stinger or something. I have liked the guy since his OSU days. Plays the game hard and w/passion.
Playing football is tough. As fans, we can say don't do this or don't do that, but man, the game is fast. Very fast. Most of the time, you are just selling out to just be competitive.
I am praying for the guy!

I hope I’m wrong but if he were moving and doing well at the hospital we’d know. They would have said something. The silence isn’t promising.

Antonio Brown now has 2 drops...
on the entire season so far.

That game was nasty, in a bad way.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Bengals are the dirtiest team in the league. I would say the Steelers are. Did you see the graphic showing all the dirty hits that the steelers had causing rule changes. Shazier got hurt trying to lead with his head. Its sad, but it was trying to spear a guy in the back. Ju Ju was just disgusting hit as well.

That's kind of my thinking. It may be heartless of me, but I just can't feel too sorry for a guy that was trying to spear someone in the back.
If Gronk gets suspended (did), then JuJu should DEFINITELY get something as well. We'll see... ::eyeroll::

I completely disagree. I don't think either JuJu or Iloka should of been suspended. Neither is a repeat offender....both hits happened during the game on the field, between the whistles. Both were flagged.
Gronks hit was out of bounds, after the whistle...and an elbow to the back of a player laying on the ground.
You want to suspend JuJu and Iloka a game...fine...but then Gronk should be getting more than 1.
Also....What are you suspending JuJu for exactly....Brian Allen of the Steelers had the same call against him on a return earlier in the game...de cleated a guy....flag thrown...no suspension.....Guys taunt without suspension......They are really just suspending him because it was a viscous hit that was punctuated with the taunt.
Or when AJ Green chokes a guy from behind and punches him multiple times without being suspended
There is no rhyme or reason to the level of punishment compared to the crime.

Gronk's hit was as dirty as it gets. How he only got one game is a crime. I think the dude should be arrested. It was assault. He hit a defenseless man in the back of the neck w/his forearm. He's 270+ lbs. It was AFTER the play was over. The dude was also out of bounds and his face was already planted in the ground. He could have easily been paralyzed and perhaps even killed by such a malicious hit. If Gronk was black, he would be gone a lot longer. The hits in the Steeler/Bengal game didn't even look dirty to me.

The hits in the Steeler/Bengal game didn't even look dirty to me Juju's hit used to be a great play. But he did intentionally go high on him. The taunting thing was what got me. He is lucky Burfict was out of the game, he would have definitely got revenge. This is the league now. No discipline. All the after the play crap that goes on during the game is a joke. Everybody has got some childish thing they do after making a play. It's the me generation, the team concept is long gone. Trash talking is part of the game, but these ridiculous dances and look at me actions turn me off. I crack up when I see a defensive guy make a tackle and do the "feed me" thing. It doesn't even make sense. Every first down gets a little look at me crap. Even the kickers are doing this crap now. I hate it.

No worries on disagreeing with me. I'm happy to debate and share opinions.
Juju lowered the crown of his helmet and nailed Burfect in the face/head. That's illegal and dangerous. From his taunt, I take that to mean he meant every bit of it. Plus, it's Burfect. You know they had been talking about getting him back. I believe (my guess, no evidence) that Juju meant to hurt Burfect, but not get him hurt (injury). I think there's a difference between the two, if that makes sense.
As for Gronk, I think hits like that are cowardly and should absolutely be punished more. Where I different from you and skater is that I don't expect it at all. When you have Steelers defenders spear our QB and hit late time and time again with few flags and even fewer additional punishments, how can you expect Gronk to get any more than he did. The NFL discipline system is a joke.

There was a similar incident in the NHL a dozen years or so ago where Todd Bertuzzi was charged with and plead guilty for assault after riding a player to the ice from behind with his forearm on his neck. He ended the other player's career.

I remember that. Not a big hockey fan, but yeah, I remember that one.
What Gronk did was terrible. I get that he was mad because the dude pushed him and picked off the ball [yes, it should of have been interference] but he could have killed that dude.
There is a reason why rabbit punches are not allowed in boxing. And we have a 270+ lb guy coming diving w/his full weight and hitting a guy whose face is already buried in the turf w/his forearm.
Man, that was brutal.

IMO the standing over Burfict was worse than the actual hit ... that was the dumb part

Re Shazier
Finding it hard to find any sympathy for the cat tbh. Not happy, by any means just indifferent.
The dude has clearly been leading with the crown of his helmet on several tackle attempts including one on a sliding Kizer. If you tackle at speed with your head than I guess eventually you'll compress your spine....it was fortunate he made contact with Bengal thigh other than the lower spine that he looked to be lining up. Douchebag. Meh.
I think JuJu is unfortunate. He's been suspended a game for taunting as the league sends a message. In relation to the hit, we've seen that plenty without the same punishment. The combination of his classless post "tackle" behaviour and the hit itself has done him in.
Post game interview, Brown shouting "Karma" repeatedly in the background leans to intent and irony in one nice hypocritical package. I hate the steelers, but this looks like where the real rivalry is at in the AFC North

j/c...
1. Shanny is the best offensive mind in the NFL. JG will prosper under him. He always has WRs wide open, even with us. Would JG struggle under somebody else? Well Ryan was all world last year. 2. Shazier...led with his helmet but the big negative is that his head was down. Lucky it was lower back and not the spinal cord by the neck which is where the Quadplegic comes from. Glad he seems to be recovering without anything career ending.
3. Chiefs...man what a turn around season. They were looking SB bound now they look worse than us.
4. Wentz started out slow but then got hot. That throw (if any one can provide a replay link) where he was getting tackled and he throws it long right on target. If you notice he separated his upper body from the lower and stayed relaxed and focused with his natural shoulder turn (Rodgers does this so does Mayfield) hits the WR on a "DIME" perfect throw. This is a perfect example of what I have been talking about regarding ACCURACY...some are NATURALLY ACCURATE some have to work at it. Them who have to work at it (Kizer) will never be highly accurate...always inconsistent.
5. Steeler/Bengal game... Typical Ref bias for the Steelers when will this stop. Dalton throws a deep pass to Green for a TD. Flag...oh well but then they showed the replay...the guy wiffed on the pass rusher let alone did not even come close to holding. I don't see how they can throw that flag? There was a ticky tack call of holding later on the Steelers where announcers say it evened out. Sorry at least there was a hold on that play and the momentum totally changed.. I think that hold on Bengal FB was the difference of the game and changed it.
Ju-Ju hit on Burfict...the fact he stepped over the laid out body and said some words...was stupid and drew the flags...of course we get called for taunting and on the replay we don't do anything like that....smh
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!

Was just looking for updates on Shazier’s injury. All that is being reported is that he has “some movement” in his lower extremities. So that’s a positive.

The way the Stealer's tackle, sooner or latter this is going to happen, either to a Stealer or to an opponent. I find it criminal that the Coaching Staff of the Stealers promote helmet hitting without any punishment from the league, quite the contrary, with the Watt ruling its ok to hit with the helmet providing the carrier tucks the ball. Speaks volumes of the Stealers coaching staff...no respect for the players nor the game...

I thought Shazier's injury was just a spinal bruise? Not to diminish it, but I thought it was deemed less serious?
