Dorsey's first official act is a good one.

This was a clear message that should've been sent weeks ago: We will not tolerate lack of effort.

The only thing I don't like about this cut is it sends a clear message to Green Bay that Sammie Coates is back from injury. Wish we'd left it a few more days. When Gordon got back, the only thing keeping Britt on the roster was the lack of depth from Coates being injured. He's still listed as questionable on the injury report, but now it confirms that he'll be good to go.
Kenny can suck it. Can't stand guys like him. I can handle a player being bad, the league can be cruel that way, but his loafing and general not-giving-a-sh*t attitude was toxic. Good riddance.

I don't think the team cares about what Green Bay thinks.
This was a move to let the rest of the team know that there is a new head guy in charge and people will be held accountable.
It was a great first move.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

I can't argue with his first official act! I'm guessing this was a handcuffing acquisition for Hue!
My confidence builds slightly...

I was happy when we signed him, but he has been a complete disappointment.
I suspect that Hue has wanted to get rid of him, and now he can.

With the Kenny Britt move, John Dorsey is making a strong case for NFL Executive of the Year. https://twitter.com/Reflog_18/status/939242260184657920

There was a push-pull between the front office and coaching staff about Kenny Britt, whether to play him or not. Sashi Brown was a fan. Hue Jackson... was not. With new #Browns GM John Dorsey in, Britt is out -- $10.5M richer. https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/939240676050563072

It was a great first move. Of course, but Kizer isn't exactly coming off a game that makes me say, "Just a slight advantage won't help." Green Bay is now going to key in on how Coates is used and they won't have to account for how Britt is used. They're both very different players that provide more for the opposition to consider. Having even that question while worrying about Gordon and Njoku coming off big games, as well as Coleman needing to be considered, provided a rare opportunity when our receivers actually could worry a struggling secondary. The message is loud and clear, but it would have been just as loud and clear on Monday, and Green Bay is one of only two remaining games that seems plausibly winnable. I know it's normally something minor, but we've won a single game in two years, I'll take anything that might help ahaha.

Britt or coates is the least of Green Bay's problems.
They are gonna have enough problems stopping Gordon from running wild. especially with their injured secondary.

Yeah, i don't know why anybody would make an issue out of what would be our #4 target at best. Well, maybe i do.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Thanks for the memories, Kenny!
A necessary first move by Dorsey. Sends an immediate message of accountability.
Also, it's clear Hue would have cut him awhile ago should it been his decision.

They are gonna have enough problems stopping Gordon from running wild. especially with their injured secondary. That's my point. It'll be hard enough to contain Gordon, Coleman and Njoku. They'll also have to account for Duke Johnson. So the added nuisance of considering the differing styles of Britt and Coates, and how that fits in with the personnel, is a bonus. Then again, maybe I'm just paranoid and overthinking it. Between Green Bay and Chicago, I'm desperate to see the Browns get at least one W.

GB’s going to focus on Josh and Coleman ... there not worried about what anyone else can do ... possibly Njoku ..
That as deep as that well runs ..
I still expect Josh to blow up ... if Kizer lets him ...

At least we have someone with a firm grasp of the obvious. That's an improvement.

Agreed.
Kizer can't miss these opportunities that should be present. Josh absolutely dominated Hayward last week, and Hayward has been the best corner in the NFL this year. Against Green Bay, Josh will likely see plenty of safety support. Even with Kizer struggling deep last week, this should be a low scoring game and they can't tempt fate, but they also can't dedicate too much safety help because Njoku is a handful.
Kizer can hit them. He's thrown some nice deep passes this year, and they're going to mean everything in a game like this.
I gotta admit; I'd be a lot more thrilled with Britt being cut if I didn't know it just means more reps for Louis.

Those searching for THE WHY...why Sashi is gone...the Britt signing might be one of the more obvious reasons.

maybe! Didn't take long! Continuity be gone!
It was a stupid move, if you look at it today.
1. They could have waited until the end of the regular season.
2. There's no way if you look at the Browns that Britt was the worst guy on the roster.
3. Treggs is still on the team? When is he going to make a play.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

GB will not give Coates a second thought. Much more important for Dorsey to send an immediate message. Additionally, I believe it was Browns beat reporter, Scott Petrak, that I heard on the radio or a podcast before mention how Coates and Britt would play their music absurdly loud and act completely obnoxious in the locker room that even rookies were giving them the side eye and/or telling them to tone it down. Coates is more likely the next one cut than someone to make an impact on the field. Don't worry about this knucklehead......
