Makes me wonder if Hue said "get this guy off the football team ASAP" I think he's been a cancer to Hue's Locker room. But until Coleman and Gordon came back he really had no choice. A definite slacker glad Dorsey listened to Hue and did not hesitate to get rid of him...
I'm liking this guy and I think he and Hue are going to work great TOGETHER! NRTU If Britt was a locker room problem, why doesn't the guy in charge of the locker room do something about it? Calvin Pryor acted the fool and Hue kicked him out of practice. Both Dorsey and Hue report to Jimmah...but Dorsey can fire Hue? Where is Diam? He should be here accusing others of having a Lollipop Club?

end yet you did respond to me...lol
no big deal just thought that was funny.
I think with the Coleman injury and Britt propensity to claim he had an injury. Also he must have told Sashi especially prior to the trade deadline. But Britt had Sashi's approval.
Pryor was Hue's project and I'm sure he knew how to handle him.
Britt was not Hue's guy and the "STUD" WR.
I think its obvious that he and Dorsey met and Britt came up and Dorsey said sure, I agree, I will handle this right away for you Coach!
boom...hope the two continue to work together like this!

boom...hope the two continue to work together like this! Britt ended up being a turd. Bad signing. But he wasn't the worst WR on the team...which is actually indicative of another problem. Let me ask you this: If you are a non-football guy and other football guys tell you he isn't the worst receiver on the team...BUT...another football guy says he's (Britt) a problem, what do you do? Me? I side with the Coach...but thankfully I'm not the GM. Facetious Alert: So now we've weakened the veteran talent on the team...right? Isn't doing that something that Sashi was condemned for doing? But now it's ok? I'm not completely serious, of course...however...Jimmah asked a guy to be that evaluator and Sashi - when in doubt - went with the $$$ first because that's what he knows...like a QB reverting to bad mechanics when pressed. In way too many ways, we got exactly what we set ourselves up for...and it didn't work. Let's just hope we aren't saying this again in the near future.

As I tried to communicate in my posts...Hue didn't have a choice until recently when Coleman and Gordon came back...before that Britt was the only gun in town. I'm not saying Sashi didn't cut Britt as a mistake.
But what I am saying is I don't think Sashi would have made this move that Dorsey did immediately. Not the none move in the past...we had no choice.
As for the Alert: I actually never condemned Sashi for his moves...I did state as a fact in regards to our current record a problem is not that we didn't have talent as why we were so woeful in our record but all the talent was YOUNG or too much were young. I don't think the plan was to get -0- wins but I think they knew with average vets the most we would do was maybe 4-5 wins.
The only slam I did on this was McCown cause QB is that important and I thought that was a mistake. I also think we would have more than 4-5 wins with him here.

jmho I understand. I was more painting a picture of why Sashi really couldn't win. No matter who he sided-with, he was a non-football guy overriding a football guy's opinion (about football players no less). Sashi was the Executive Vice President...not GM. Yet he's being typecast as the GM...and unfairly in my opinion. Hue won the power struggle over an unusual hierarchy...let's just hope the power struggles are over. I don't want to get people riled up here because there's a gleam on the Board right now (deserved) that we landed a good GM prospect...BUT...McCown being awful here (just as recently as last year) and being better-than-serviceable in NY is more of an indictment of Hue than Sashi. Hue hasn't yet had a QB here who could master his system...there is no reason to believe that for Hue McCown could do THIS year what he couldn't do last year.

Since he wasn't here, there's also no reason to believe he couldn't have. Either side you fall on about this is purely speculative.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

McCown is pretty smart he would have picked up on the O year two.
Lets not forget McCown got hurt in week #2 and he was never the same. This year he was healthy and that is why he is succeeding in NY.

Willie, Britt may have been a veteran on the team but he was a cancer. He was not a leader, was lazy and didn't want to work to make himself and his teammates better. I say good riddance.

Edited to add: I'm not stacking a deck against Hue...he has that covered quite well himself. I'm making an opinion based on what I saw...doesn't mean I'm right.

I'm guessing Hue couldn't get him out quick enough. Doubt Dorsey cut him post press conference unless Hue brought it to his attention. If so I commend Hue and Dorsey for their first collaborative effort!

Vou could have built a better roster than susie brown Doesn't 1 and 27 resonate with you I could not have built any kind of roster. I am not, never have been, and will never be good enough to even get a interview to be a NFl GM.

Britt's agent also tweeted earlier "Coaches that talk to media more than their players <" Both tweets were liked by former Browns WR, Jordan Payton.

Yea but what kind of agent talks trash like that? If he has other clients that would potentially get signed by the browns, that’s not a good look.

Agents don't normally call out guys in the media that they might have to deal with again later.

Hue Jackson just can't go 1-31 and expect his players to have his back - especially when he is more and more consistently throwing them under the bus. There has been a lot of worse rosters in the NFL who have failed to perform, yet they've still done plenty more winning than Hue has done.

While I'm indifferent on Hue, I've never heard any player say they don't like playing for Jackson. Just the opposite. Thomas appears to love Hue.
A tweet from whoever that was, especially if connected to Britt, has no credibility. Again, Grossi who is in the locker room and at practices, has been reporting for months how destructive Britt's behavior was. The guy was the ultimate malcontent and the opposite type of person you want in a constructive, positive environment.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Thomas appears to love Hue. Thomas appeared to love everyone and that extends beyond HCs. Players, FO, etc. There was something on the radio that quoted Joe Thomas at least 10 times for all the times he liked a coach or player. They all ended up being wrong as it equated to that person's success. He's smart...he knows how to play the media game. he never says a bad thing about anyone. But with that said, I agree, I have not ever seen something bad said about Hue from the players he has coached.
