3 point shooting contest so far this half against the hawks.

We are shooting 54% from 3, and both love and Korver are 4/5 from 3.

Love with 17, Korver with 13 off the bench.

Jose is having a fine game so far.

14 points, 4/5 from 3.

Now that he's back, where does Tristan Thompson fit in in the lineup? I just don't see a spot where he fits in and really contributes. We've been really good production from Crowder and Jeff Green.

Any word on Rose lately? I thought I saw something saying he wants to come back, play and win a championship.

Finally got caught up, son’s birthday today. Jose is like someone’s dad who comes in and balls out at the rec center...lol. Good for him. He doesn’t take bad shots or force things. Crowder disappoints me. Dude just isn’t a starter. I love that I was right about TT being trash. But if you listen to the loudmouth (vers) cavs can’t win a championship without him . Dude has no place on this team anymore. Lebron looks like he’s just here for the funzies. It seems easy for him at anytime. Not sure what to think of Osman, he should be in dleague getting minutes. He’s erratic out there

Last word was 2 weeks away. I’d bet on Thomas being back first

I never said that the Cavs couldn't win a championship w/out TT. That is just a flat out lie.

I said that he helped the Cavs win a championship by playing well in the playoffs.

I could see TT getting traded before the deadline.

Jeff Green has made Thompson obsolete in the small ball lineup

Final score 123-114

We shot from the field, 52% from 3

Love had 17 and 12. Lebron had 25, 17 assist and 7 boards

Jose had 14 points, 4/5 from 3. Green had 17 off the bench. Korver had 19 off the bench, 6-9 from 3.

If the season ended today, the Thunder would be out of the playoffs.

I think he's been working with Korver a lot on his shot technique.

They'll regroup to make the 8 seed, but like last year, they'll get railroaded in the first round. Sure, some of the games with Houston were close late, they just waited until Russ was tired or off the floor to take control.

If I'm George, I'm gone. If I'm Russ, I'm upset, but very rich. If I'm Melo, I don't care.

I was at the game last night. My boys got to hold the flag on the court for the National Anthem, so that was cool (the drive in was NOT awesome).

LeBron just put on a show. His shooting was on point but his passing game was just next-level stuff. Fun to watch live.

As for TT, I don't know how he fits in anymore besides being a good teammate. What Love does at the 5 spot opens the floor perfectly for these guys. If you put TT back in, he plays down low and keeps the big men around the rim. Love moves them out to the arc and opens the middle.

I like TT but he'll be nothing more than a breather for the other guys. Square peg, meet round hole.

j/c:

The best trade the Cavs never made was not trading for Melo.

Dude has been a selfish player forever and his teams always lose. NY has been playing better w/out him and Porzingas has flourished. OKC looks like dog crap.

Thank God we didn't make that trade.

Melo will never win a ring, he's too selfish to change his game. George is def. gone. To be honest, i can see them blowing it up this year. They had the nba by the balls a few years ago when they had durant/harden/westbrook. Just imo didn't have the right coach. Now they are a westbrook injury from a lottery team

If TT wasn't playing with Lebron, he'd be in the G-league right now or the end of the bench somewhere. His game just never evolved, he doesn't do anything well. He's a shorter andy varejao without any offense. He clogs the lane and almost all his points are on PNR dunks or putbacks..which you can live with having a guy that rebounds and hustles, but not for 15million a year. Thats what hurts TT's value. He's been durable, hustles and rebounds and thats great. But he really needed to develop into a guy that was worthy of his contract. If he could have just developed a post game or be able to hit that 15 footer conistently, its a whole new ball game

Finally getting to watch the Cavs. Some early observations:

--We need to do a better job in transition defense.

--We need someone to do a better job defending in the paint.

--Why does LeBron not get some calls when he is drilled?

--Nice to see Jose hit the 3.

Brook Lopez just completely bailed out of a contest of a Lebron dunk. Even his own teammate was like, "WTF Man!?!" rofl

Edit: He just airballed TWO free-throws now too. LOL

--Well, LeBron w/a triple double. His shot looks better, but I really like how is attacking the rim.

--Jose was hitting the 3. That really helped our spacing. He also didn't turn the ball over very much, if at all.

--Love had a very nice offensive game.

--We still need an inside defensive presence.

--Our energy on D is much better than the last time I watched.

--What have we won............is it 13 out of 14? That's awesome from an "old and slow" team that has a "clueless coach." Keep winning Cavs. It's great and a side benefit is it keeps lead from posting too much. thumbsup

Love has been absolutely killing it over the last month.

And most nights he's been doing it around 30 minutes or less.

Elite scorer. Elite rebounder. This is the Love we thought we were getting when Irving left.

And anything from Calderon is a plus. But the main thing is the guy isn't going to do anything stupid. He's stabilized the starting lineup, if you can believe that.

Calderon has been by biggest surprise, I knew he was decent from his toronto days, but he's had a rough few years. He seems to be in the perfect situation now. Crowder on the other hand is my biggest disappointment. I thought he'd be much better than he is. The biggest question is WTF did lebron say to Lonzo. I love Lebron and all but i think he's an absolute tool and troll most of the time.

I can't believe Bird had 59 triple doubles.

As more time passes I think we start to forget how good some of these legends were.

I didn't look it up but I imagine it took LeBron alot longer to get his 59 than Bird.

Wow. Larry Legend.

And Larry lost the back end of his career due to back problems. He really should have played longer and better.

He hurt it fixing his own driveway. That's the kind of dude he was.

The Magic and Bird era was fantastic (pun intended). If I see that 2-hr Bird/Magic special on the NBA network, I stop on it every time. So good.

They were doppelgangers. Each could do it all from every position and cared more about winning than stats...but somehow filed the box score every night.

My Magic memory, outside of the one obvious press conference, was how he came back to play so clutch after the Finals he "choked" a bit in (shot clock violations, missed FTs, etc.). After that performance, Bird called him the greatest. I know quite a few people that still think he was the best basketball player of all time. Sure, MJ had his massive strengths at his position, but Magic could do it all everywhere and against anyone.

My Bird memory, is when he set the Celtics scoring record against the Hawks. As he would trash talk the guys on the floor, the Hawks bench would react to each shot as if they were just watching a game at the local park, but they had to hide their enjoyment too. On one shot near the end of the game, he came up the left side, told the defender he was going to take a set-back three, bank it and then fall into their trainer. He did. The Hawks bench reacted. Some cheered, hid their face in laughter or fell out of their chairs. Dude was awesome.

I think Lebron is in their same molds, just bigger and stronger.

I think he told him that he could be great, he's gotta work at it, told him to block out his dad and just focus on the game. I doubt that was a "I'm coming to LA next year" thing. I just don't see him going to that young of a team. They'd need to add two superstar vets to win anything in the west. Maybe George is one of them, but who would be the 2nd? Who else is a free agent this offseason?

If he leaves, I'd assume Houston or the Knicks. Houston has Harden and CP3, but NY is NY. With Phil gone, maybe he'd go there, but they'd need a 3rd and possibly 4th wheel.

yeah i don't think it was that, but you know covering your mouth so noone can read your lips, given the rhetoric already about leaving for the lakers, just adding unnecessary fuel to the fire. I still don't think he's going anywhere. Leaving for a second time would just destroy his image. Theres no reason he cant do everything he wants to do here, and have it mean a whole lot more in the process. Stop handing out dumb contracts to guys like TT, shump, and JR and you'd wouldn't handcuff the FO. I know some are of the mindset of "he won us a ring, I don't care where he goes" Which yeah at 10000 feet seems fine, but it goes beyond that..if people called you a ring chaser before, imagine now. You'll never catch the ghost your chasing that way because people will never respect you the way they did MJ because of the way you did it. Its why Durant will never be considered a winner or a franchise guy. Build your own thing. Plus Lebron has invested heavily in the area with the kids, starting his own elementary school. That's putting down some serious roots. Yeah he can do that anywhere, but it would be much more effective for his legacy to be there around and involved. Lebron is about building his brand, much more effective right where he's at doing what he's doing.

If his goal is championships, he'll stay right where he is. The Warriors are stacked for many years to come. Why would he want to fight them (and the Rockets and Spurs) to even have a chance to get to the finals?

If his goal is to get more involved in Hollywood, I can see him bailing but wouldn't retirement make more sense?

He has publicly said that he's accomplished everything he's wanted to in the game. Maybe he's not chasing the ghost of MJ's titles as much as we think?

Regardless of what he does, that Lakers team is going to be a force soon. Young, long, fast and talented.

An image of leading 3 different teams to NBA championships would be pretty good I think.

An image of leading 3 different teams to NBA championships would be pretty good I think.

not really when you factor in having to join up with other all stars to do it, and thats the only way he's going to get past GSW outside of staying where he is.

looks like there was a hot mic on the court that picked up the convo:

"Find your zone and just stay f------ locked in," James said. "The media is going to ask you what I told you right now. Tell them nothing. Just be aggressive every single day. It's white noise to you. That's all it is. Alright? Let's go."

I was joking with friends that he was probably saying something like, "You think your father can get media attention, watch this! I'll talk with my jersey over my mouth like this, and people will flip out on talk-shows and social media for weeks!"

Turns out he really WAS trolling the media.

This is clear-cut evidence that LeBron is leaving The Land for La-La Land. brownie
