Fox News has called it.

CNN close to calling it.

Wow.

Wow. Trump and Moore have ruined a republican stronghold.

A very slim majority aren’t.

Thankfully the majority did the right thing tonight.

Yep. That was a republican stronghold. Other states aren’t so safe.

Why does it look bad? Because the people of Alabama decided to not elect an accused pedophile? I would think that's a good thing, not?

How is this a referendum on anything?

We will see eve, but at this point, you called it and I have no reason to doubt you.

This will hurt whatever they try to pass.

They already couldn’t pass an ACA repeal. This all but guarantees that won’t be happening. Could possibly hurt the tax bill.

The backtracking looks bad since they said they would've accepted him had he won. But I think it looks really good on the people of Alabama and their Republican voters. I hope Roy Jones can get a fast track in to the senate, because he'll be up for a re-election in 2 years and will be against an actual Republican.

Oh, make no mistake, I get that.

And really, it's yet another sad statement on the political process here - the fact that congress votes party line on way too many things.

But, I figured some of you would be happy that the guy didn't get elected.

One party ran a man with more sex abuse accusations, etc. against him than I can imagine. He was, from what I know, a poor choice. The people of Alabama spoke with their votes. He lost. Good riddance.

But really, to think that losing 1 R in the senate, to a D, will affect future votes in congress is just sad. I know it's true.

It is what it is. The people voted. This is the reality.

So who will Trump toss under the bus for this one?

Moore, McConnel, his own daughter?

Ivanka is too hot to live under any buses.

Can try to throw her there but the hotness force field will repel her.

Just sayin.

We are very happy Alabama said no to the pedo. Very happy.

In the same breath, it's disheartening that it was this close and that Evangelical Christian Republicans made it so close. SMH

Can’t wait for the full breakdown of how different demographics voted.

That's an interesting thought. I wasn't aware that Alabama voters had to declare "I'm an evangelical Christian Republican" when they voted.

Is that on their voter card id, or what?

Dang man, you can't even be happy that the right guy won without putting out asinine assumptions.

22k for write ins.

Rocket correctly pointed out that the write ins swung the election.

Safe to say most of those write ins came from conservatives who couldn’t vote for Moore.

21k votes (as of now) is significant, I'd be beyond baffled if a recount changed things more than 10% of that.

Funny, cause moore’s God sent a message loud and clear:

Go sit your pedophile ass down somewhere. You’re done.

This kind of surprises me, in a good way. We were just back in Bama for Thanksgiving and the majority of the people over were for Moore. I expected the ones that were not for Moore, except for my mother in law being against him.

Your malls are not safe...

Listen to Hall and Oates Maneater, get the tune in your head, then use the Roy Moore lyrics.

They only come out at night
The pervs on the right
Hunting for teens, like they’ve done before
Watching and waiting
Ooh, they’re creeping around as they glide across the mall floor
So many sicko’s like Trump
The under age are getting felt up
These men need a bridle, handcuffed and put into a cop car
Hormone’s the reason
They’re not in it for love
They’ve just come in season

Ooh Ooh here he comes
Watch out girls he’ll feel you up
Ooh Ooh here he comes
He’s a mall greater

I guess we now know the dems new rallying call for the next election. During obama, everyone was racist. During hitlerys campaign, we were all sexist and deplorable. Now anyone not voting dem will be a sexual predator and a pedophile.

At least we now get to see if the accusations are true. If they all disappear, they weren't.
