Bottom line my friend ...

the thief improved his BS ass org chart by actually putting a football guy in charge of personal decisions ... but it’s still a BS ass org chart ....

This dude is not only a THIEF but hes a MORON when it comes to owning a football team ... he’s screwed us 50 ways to hell ...

And having the GM and HC report directly to him is MORONIC ... he’s done that because so far hes been INCAPABLE of hiring folks that actually get along ...

This guy is the worst OWNER IN THE HISTORY OF SPORTS .... and thats not an exxagration ... not at all ...

Agreed. I said in another thread that he keeps hiring the same type of personality and then pitting them against each other......no way that could go wrong. Ha.

We will keep spinning our wheels until he is gone.....unless he bassackwards walks into a great GM/HC that he gives complete control to.

Usually I would agree with you (and do agree in principle), but this organization has always been about optics....whole lot easier to sell Hue back with 1 win than 0-16. Really hard sell to the fan base on a coach who couldn't find a way to win one game.

It shouldn't matter and you are correct, but this is the Browns and optics have always mattered......part of the reason for continued struggles

Hue sealed his own fate. He would have had another year if he hadn't campaigned against Sashi. Now it's all gonna get blown up again.

I don't know that I would characterize it as keeping his word, but no doubt Jimmy can change his mind. Especially if Dorsey wants to move on.

Berea is still leaky......

Browns coach Hue Jackson may not survive shakeup in the front office after all

Though owner Jimmy Haslam said Jackson is safe for 2018, new GM John Dorsey may decide otherwise

Despite proclamations from owner Jimmy Haslam that head coach Hue Jackson will be coaching the Browns in 2018, league sources said new GM John Dorsey may advise otherwise after the season.

Dorsey made it clear in remarks this week exactly what he thought of the talent evaluation and development that was going on in the Browns' former front-office regime, and several execs around the league who know Dorsey well expect him to recommend significant changes to Haslam by next month, if not sooner. The analytics department, headed by former baseball executive Paul DePodesta, could be in for a shakeup.
Dorsey is watching everything going on in the organization with a close eye in the final quarter of the season as he gets a handle on how many new faces must be added to the mix in the offseason to get this franchise finally turned around.

Jackson has won just one game in two years on the job, and with a critical decision looming on drafting a quarterback with the first overall pick, sources said Dorsey has not ruled out coaching changes. It is hardly unprecedented for Haslam to have issued a public vote of confidence, only to change his mind later, and an 0-16 finish would be difficult for even the most accomplished head coach to survive.

Sounds like JLC is recapping the talk of Dorsey's radio interview rather than it being "new" news.

Hue Jackson returning to the Browns would be a HUEgh mistake. This guy simply doesn't get it. Williams is completely overrated as well. If Dorsey recommends that Hue has to go and he is overruled by Haslam, well, you know what will happen. But look on the bright side: If the Browns go 0-16 (and they probably will), there's no place to go but up. Right? LOL

No coach can overcome horrible QB play. Kizer is just horrible but you know they have to keep playing him so they can claim they did everything they could to give him a chance.

I can see them doing that for a guy who was a top-5 pick, but for a guy who was #52?

J/C

it would make sense for Dorsey to want to hire his own coach.

His background with the Packers and Chiefs leans very heavily on building more towards a West Coast Offense with Reid in KC and Holmgren/McCarthy in GB with Ron Wolf.

Dave Toub fits this bill. Toub is at the top of my list for the job and probably at the top of Dorsey's as well.Toub has also been connected in the league since 1985 when he was drafted, and 2001 as a coach with the Eagles. He has deep connections around the NFL and will probably be able to get a great staff together.

I'll be surprised if this isn't the route Dorsey goes.

In for a penny, in for a dime I guess. Kizer is soooo young and has so much physical talent that they must just hope a light turns on between now and the end of the season.

Either that or they want to make sure they keep that 1ist pick overall to get the QB they want if said QB even declares while knowing the Browns would be the one picking him. I mean if it was you , would YOU declare early knowing that you would be going to the Browns? It's has to be a tough choice.

Yeah, I agree, Cleveland isn't an appealing place for a young QB.
