I’m not gonna lie, I’m choking up right now fighting back tears.

Last season was rough. I honestly thought it wasn’t going to get any worse.

How wrong was I. This....man this is painful. I dunno how to even feel right now. I’m mad, sad, disappointed, frustrated.

We’ve been a train wreck since 99. And yet now we’re officially worse than our expansion year.

Can this be fixed? Will it ever be fixed?

Not sure how you go forward with this group. Hue seems to be a defeated man and I can't dig up any sympathy for him. Someone takes the hit and right or wrong HCs are the ones to take them. No confidence that he rights the ship next season. Sorry...

Swish... I feel you on this... Yes It can be fixed. It is just that the owner needs to get out of the way and let the people he's employed do their job. The structure of everyone reporting to him does not work... it removes accountability. The coach needs to report to the GM. There needs to be a VP of football ops.. Top down on this level of operations. Haslam as created a culture of confusion and power struggles.

This was a hard one, no doubt.

I'm not lamenting a rocky start, however. I truly believe this organization is closer than anyone will admit. There is a lot of young talent on this roster, and a lot of assets to continue adding talent.

Game 16 wasn't much different than a lot of other moments over this period - The Browns beat the other team, they just couldn't beat themselves. Kizer's interception, Coleman's soon-to-be-infamous drop, the kick returned for a TD with a bunch of missed tackles, Duke Johnson's fumble, the blown coverage leading to the TD. These are all dumb mistakes, and mistakes can be corrected.

This team will be much better this year. Even in this final game, we finally got a break out performance from Jabrill Peppers. Garrett racked up two sacks, Kizer has his most productive game, another Njoku sighting, Brantley with an incredible fumble recovery, and even Higgins got in on the action with two touchdowns.

You could near say the same thing about any other game.

This isn't some directionless team with nothing moving forward. It's a talented bunch of kids who lack the experience and discipline to consistently compete with NFL TEAMS who don't make the errors, and capitalize on opposition errors.

The present is tough to swallow. The future will not be.

We need a QB who is at least decent and we can win a few games. Let's start there.

I hear ya Swish. Tough pill to swallow. We'll turn it around bro. It was a tough holiday season - lot's of Steelers fans in my wife's family. They don't even talk trash anymore... but they're all dressed in their black and gold getting ready for their annual trip to the playoffs.

The NFL should step into this mess and let the Browns have the first dozen picks in the draft, if not dozen-and-a-half. Then maybe things would look better for us.

I have suffered through a lot of losses as a Browns fan.

This is the lowest point. Just unbelievably empty feeling.

What was Kizer today? Against backups?

Their defense was at full strength, only missing Cam Hayward.

And he put up 375 yards and 2 touchdowns. Those kinds of performances are rare for a rookie.

But what are our building blocks, our foundation? Having Gordon back was nice, but you know like clockwork around draft time that a report will come out that's been suspended again, I think JT's last contract year is 2018 and I don't see him going beyond that, so where do we start?

0 - 16, we can’t get worse than 0 - 16, unless they add games to the schedule. It’s a pretty simple concept.

4-16, if you include the preseason. The true perfect season would be 0-20.

Why am I saying this? Why am I tempting this evil upon us?

You can play fantasy land if you like but the preseason isn’t the season.

We could go 0-32.
We've beaten the single-season futility horse to death, we're moving onto multi-season streaks.

p.s. two more losses to start next season and we have a "Tiger Slam" 0-32.

Because we went 0-16 this year and guys will be a year older next year doesn't mean a thing towards 2018. We can be just as bad which makes the entire situation worse.
