No. I'm saying a better coach would have put Kizer in a better position to succeed instead of forcing him into a cockamamie offense that didn't make sense.

lol ok so we agree that Kizer sucks and never should have started? ok good.

should have road with Hogan all year an let Kizer learn...but another HC starter Kizer would not have won either is my point.

can you please stop it with Hogan? he had his shot, then proceeded to toss 3 picks in a game. he almost Nathan Peterman'd it.

yes, kizer shouldn't had be starting, we should kept brock and left him on the bench.

but that didn't happen. and the reality is that inexperienced rookie Kizer is still better than Hogan or Kessler. he is the best QB on the roster.

The truth is a lot of other coaches, no most any other coach would have found a way to get this roster to a win this year, you’re fooling yourself saying none of this is on Hue and all of it is on Kiser. Kiser played bad, yes. But Hue coached even worse. Sorry

The saddest part of all this is we are delaying the inevitable.....like when Holmgren brought Mangini back. It was obvious to anyone with a brain that wasn’t going to work out and this will not either. Good grief Rappaport is reporting Dorsey is the one hiring the OC for Hue.

The schedule is brutal next year and Hue will be gone before it is done. Just let Dorsey hire his own staff now....this isn’t that hard Haslem!!!

15 game starts for Kizer and one for Hogan and that is a fair shot?

please...not even fair in any universe

He NEEDS to hire a kick ass OC. Just concentrate on being the HC and let someone else do the offense. Not sure his ego will allow that. But that is what he needs to do. I think our defense under Williams will improve again next year. The offense is where we really suck. Why is it that when we hire an OC to be HC our offense sucks, and when we hire a DC as HC our defense sucks? It's WEIRD!

One game? Is Bill Belichick still alive?

Or any coach that could incorporate one RPO play or call plays that ask Kizer to read half the field? Are we so far removed from the 90's that we can't run the ball to at least one win?

Literally any coach with half a brain. Name a head coach and that coach likely would have won a game this year. Literally just running the ball more in certain games would have won us at least one game. This is not that hard.

And not only that, but we only won one game last year with non-Kizer QBs (Josh McCown was highly competent for the Jets this year).

agree running the ball more would have been a great benefit...still does equate to winning with Kizer

which coach? how would he have made Kizer a winner? Kizer is throwing the ball not Hue. so which coach would have made Kizer read the field better...made him more accurate.

lack of running is all on Hue no doubt...pisses me off. but the rest is on Kizer and our stone hands WR's

Running the ball is a very simple answer (which makes even less sense why we didn't do it), but we literally ran the ball two times in a game we were down one score at halftime when there was a blizzard. How is this even an argument?

If Sean McVay is our coach we win more than zero games, Bill Belichick, Bruce Arians, John Harbaugh, Ron Rivera, Andy Reid, Sean Payton, Kyle Shanahan, Pete Carroll, ... ...

This is not that hard. There are more.

Doug Pederson, Marvin Lewis, Mike Tomlin, Mike Zimmer, Doug Marrone, ... ...

first statement 100 percent agree with.

second list of HC's...I don't think any of them would magically fix kizer's inability to throw to accurately. or process the field better...that on Kizer

Kizer sucks so why is our HC asking him to throw the ball 62% of the downs and thats not counting the called passes where he ran with it nor the sacks which would put the number around 70% pass to 30% run.

lack of running the ball is madding. I don't blame crow one bit for being upset.

if we had Tom Brady, I think we would not have run the ball one time this year.

We can only hope that by this time next year Hue Jackson is a memory because that's the only way the losing is going to go away!

Are you listening Jimmy Haslem! Happy New Year Jimmy Haslem.

And Happy New Year Hue Jackson, the broadcast booth is a great place to be, and we love ya, just want to win a Game!

...or a few more accurate passes here and there or a few less interceptions/fumbles in the red zone (in certain games), a tackle here a block there and who knows, we might as well have won one or more of those games.

We were very close in a lot of games, played super tough in a couple of games where nobody gave us a chance. Took two games into overtime. We were winning one of them with 17sec on the clock in regulation, then a mistake put them back in it.

Most of the losses were caused by epic mistakes in crucial moments in a game. We beat ourselves with many individual mistakes that simply cannot be blamed on play-calling or play design or misused clock.

Players make plays. Players also don't make plays and sometimes players make mistakes. Bad play from the QB position and individual mistakes lost most of those games, but...

...fire Hue.

I think what you are trying to say is that it's not black and white, but then using that to defend Hue. In some ways, I agree.

But the culture, the message, the accountability, it all starts with Hue. Is Coleman's dropped pass on Hue today? No, he can't catch the ball for Coleman. But I would like to see things like sitting guys down for the rest of the game during the season after a dropped pass to show accountability means something. For a team this young with no real players, Hue could have pulled that off. This isn't benching Deandre Hopkins after a drop. But how about benching Treggs for the rest of the game after that stupid personal foul a few games ago? Same with Nacua. Same with Nassib. I bet if you had some more accountability, the focus of the players and their play would be better.

I bet if Hue called smarter game plans, the focus of the players and their play would be better. Do you think the players don't know that Kizer can't execute Hue's game plans? Of course they do. They go into every game expecting to lose. I bet if they felt they were in a better position to win, the focus of the players and their play would be better.

Let's be frank, the players suck. They made a ton of boneheaded plays. They need to share this burden. But you will never convince me they are 0-16 suckage. Never. The NFL just isn't set up that way.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

First, we know nothing of Hues list of needs and how the FO addressed them.

Second, we know nothing about the roster decisions including McCown RG3 and Haden.

I saw a team planning to lose. As bad as Indy the year Luck came out. There were no moves designed to win now and moves that benefited Haslams bottom line.

There are a lot of reasons the Browns have so much cap space. And cap money that will never be spent.

I hope Dorsey changes things. I pray he does.

The number of boneheaded miscues just makes me shake my head. This team canning play when the game is in a critical situation.

Hue did no favors for The QB. Last year Rex kept the game with the Pats close by taking the ball out of Geno’s hand. Hue did not do anything to protect the QB.

I would have put Hogan or Kessler in for a better chance. Kizer was so painful to watch.

I don’t know what was intentional or circumstance. I would like to kno

We have a big opportunity here. No team has gone from winless in one season to undefeated the next.

Lets seize the opportunity!

Yes, he makes it all throughout the off season and is our HC for the 2018 campaign.

We are staying with Continuity for a change. Looking to see this through! Leash would be short next year - 0-8 is where it would end.

Nobody is happy with going 0-16 but I agree we should stick with Hue for one more year and at least give him a half decent QB to play with. And here is the short list of available head coaches and I don't see any that I would switch Hue for and expect anything better.

Patriots OC Josh McDaniels

Vikings OC Pat Shurmur

Eagles QB coach John DeFilippo

Chiefs OC Matt Nagy

Patriots DC Matt Patricia

Eagles DC Jim Schwartz

Panthers DC Steve Wilks

Chiefs STC Dave Toub

Eagles OC Frank Reich

Texans DC Mike Vrabel

Keep in mind how many HC positions are open. What's more appealing Browns OC or anyone else's HC position?
