Assuming we take a QB @ #1, it's possible Minkah & Sequin come off 2, 3. If so, do you go DE Chubb, OT Williams, Kirk, Smith, James, Ward? Who's your pick?
I'd be tempted to take Derwin James, Chubb, or maybe Ward but would probably go Williams because of value and potential need.

I would take another QB of course. If the QB at 1 doesn't work out then we have another ready.

If the 1st 3 picks in the drafts are qb's making all non qb players available, I would not be surprised if we pick Chubb the DE from NCST. He just feels like a Dorsey guy.

Agreed with the OP - I don't think I could turn down the top tackle.

I'm With CHS I would trade down and take either Derwin James, Denzel Ward or Calvin Ridley ...

I don't think you pick up a DE, you already have 2 high picks invested there...too many other holes. I like Orlando Brown, not sure at 4, but if we trade down, yep..put him at RT until JT retires

Ok we need to think this one through before making statements.
A lot depends on Free Agency.
Scenario.
Cleveland goes QB at 1.. NY is most likely going QB. Indy seems like a great fit for Barkley. Gore is older than dirt. That leaves Fitz.
I like the thought of James, Ward Chubb or trade. There really is no bad option here. Personally I like the thought of a impact player or another player in the second round.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!…. That did not age well.

Barkley seems like a great fit for Indy, but there has been questions if Andrew Luck's career will be over due to how bad their protection has been.
If they don't go T/G, I will be absolutely stunned. They'll have their choice of some of the top blockers to come in and finally get some form of OL.
Barkley is special, but they can find even a decent running back later in this excellent RB draft. What they need more than anything is to keep Luck upright.

reports are Indy going to go after Mcdaniels. He has Brissett already there...i think he'd take a RB before a QB

I think that Indy woul look at Chubb.
Barkley is plausible, and that is the scenario at hand.
I think the Browns may have a shot at both. If I am picking, Barkley would be the choice. The offense needs help.

And one of those holes is the lack of pass rush. In a passing league pass rush is more important then ever and its always been important. Even if we had a good pass rush (we didn't) you can never have too much pass rush. And you don't often get to draft elite pass rushers.

With our draft capital we can get a QB at 1 and then both Barkley and Minkah.

lol yet our two best pass rushers are DE's. And how did that work out for the pass rush this year? I wasn't aware there was limit on how many pass rusher a team could have. IF you were worried about whether or not 'another' pass rush would play don't be. Of course they'll play and play a lot. Gregg, like many DC's 'reduces' their DEs inside to DT on 3rd down. If Garrett and Ogbah never get hurt "another" pass rusher would still play enough snaps in nickel/3rd down to more then justify the pick. Team's have ridden elite pass rushing DLs all the to the Lombardi before. So yeah, its pretty stupid. Who would want something as silly as being able to get pressure with 4 DL?

If Barkley and Fitz aren't there, I'd say trade down. Pretty easy decision there too. We'd probably get a good deal holding out the 2nd best QB to the plethora of QB Needy teams in the NFL

This would be my worst case scenario, and it is a tough choice.
Trade down a few spots would be the easy answer. But from a player perspective if we couldn't trade down, it'd have to be Brown or Ward for me. I'd consider Payne or Roquan Smith as well.

Why would we want the second best QB? I'm not saying we would ... but for the title scenario to play out, the Giants (or someone trading into #2) would have to take Minkah or Saquon ... otherwise, one of them would be available at #4.

Why would we want the second best QB? I think there's a misunderstanding. The assumption is we pick a QB at 1. If Fitz and Barkley aren't there at 4, that means the 2nd best QB is in our lap. At that point we would trade that pick to the huge amount of teams that want their pick at the second best QB in the draft. Many NFL QBs are getting old. Carson Palmer just retired. The Broncos and Jets need a QB. Teams like Buffalo are unsatisfied with their QB Someone will offer us a very very good deal That's my point. It's my worst case scenario, but it's not that bad. Playing the cards we have, if Barkley and Fitz aren't there, we put the 4th pick (and the chance to get a QB) up for sale to the highest bidder

I don't see how the Giants pass on a QB at #2.

I don't see how the Giants pass on a QB at #2. Me neither. But the title of the thread is that Fitz and Barkley are gone. Since we'll be picking QB number 1, that means the Giants didn't pick a QB at 2

If both are gone, I trade down, but if I had to pick, Chubb is the best on the board. Bookend Garrett and maybe look to try Ogbah at backer again.
The reality is 2 QB's will be taken somewhere in the first 3 picks. One of the back or safety will be there.
This is our windfall draft. The process has been painful, but this is the point at which we rocket to the top.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong

Yeah, you and tab are probably right in that 2 QBs come off the board in the top three. If Minkah is gone and Saquon is there it will be a tough choice taking him over an edge rusher or tackle, IMO.
