MY pleasure bro. You have been a good poster around here for 11 years.
Holy crap. Doesn't feel like 11 years. Actually it's been even longer because I was on the old board too. Unless your are implying that I easn't a good poster back then
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no
If Rosen doesn't want to play here and he's smart (All accounts say he is pretty smart) He'll say that in his first interview in private and keep everything quiet in the press. Dorsey will cross his name off his list and nobody else will be any wiser. No use pondering whether he does or doesn't. It doesn't help anything.
My biggest questions about Rosen are why his teammates and coaches don't like him and I want a doctor's opinions on the concussions and I take a long hard look at what he weighs in at on the scales. Beefing up from 210 isn't as big of a deal as beefing up from 200 for a guy that's 6' 4".
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Rosen's coaches have praised him. Swish posted a video of Jim Mora talking about him. The guys bashing him on in the media.
Rosen is listed at 218. Not saying he weighs that much, but that is quite a bit different from 200.
Dude is the best player coming out and I don't think it's close
Last year, people bashed Myles for not wanting to play here. We drafted him. He played here.
All tha stuff is just stuff.
Draft him and be done w/it.
Can you imagine if we pass on him and he is another Wentz? Shoot..........I actually think he is a better prospect.
I'm leaning toward Josh the most myself, but my mind isn't made up yet. I see a lot of QB's that I like though and each one of them has some issues.
That said, there is always a ton of disinformation and game playing during the draft and a lot of this stuff may be fiction but that doesn't mean we don't do all the due diligence on each and every QB.
I'm betting if Myles actually didn't want to play here and told us as much we wouldn't have drafted him. I'm not saying Josh doesn't want to play here, but if he didn't, that would be enough for me to take him off the list and I'm betting most GM's would do the same. Don't want to play here? Have a nice life and don't let the door hit you in the ass.
The weight listing I saw was 210 and I'd be okay with that and have a plan to beef him up a little. I'm not sure I'd feel the same at 200.
I don't want to spend the pick on a guy that retires after his first year after multiple concussions. A doctor can clear that decision up.
As far as the coaches and teammates liking him or not, we'll figure that out too. Another me first QB like Ryan Leaf or JFF would be a deal breaker for me though. I like what Baker Mayfield did on the field as well but I just can't get over the multiple maturity issues for him and I don't see him explaining that many issues away in the interview room.
We are all just picking guys based on what we believe to be true. GM's are paid to know what is true and what isn't. So if Dorsey skips Rosen, I'm going to assume he had a reason.
I have concerns about Rosen, but I have concerns about every other QB as well. All I want is for us to look into each and every one of those things and feel comfortable because it's hard to recover from from busted #1 overall draft choices.
"I'd rather be a lower pick at the right team than a higher one at the wrong team,'' Rosen said Saturday at the Cactus Bowl media day as the Bruins prepared to play Tuesday in the Cactus Bowl tonight against Kansas State, per Josh Weinfuss of espn.com.
The answer came in response to a question about whether he feels strongly about playing for certain teams, but not specifically about the Browns.
"I think the teams know more than I do in the sense of where I'd best fit," he said. "I might be a bit of a unique personality, so hopefully they can pick me a part and if a team really feels that I'm their guy, hopefully they'll go and get me.
Hopefully this will help end this fallacy.
What's the fallacy? That he has to play where he is drafted? If only it were that simple.
I guess installing a hot tub in your dorm room is the epitome of maturity.
Rosen is very talented no doubt but he's not all in with football. He's not Baker Mayfield in that regard. I'm not a fan of drafting a player #1 who is using football solely for monetary gain. He may not be the football lifer we want to spend our #1 pick on.
I feel Rosen has as many or more question marks as Mayfield and both need vetted to find the right fit for our team.
I know Rosen wasn't saying anything but was going to make his announcement on going Pro through Colin Cowherd and Cowherd was "supposedly" telling him if Cleveland had the first pick to stay at UCLA.
The Cleveland Browns - WE KNOW QUARTERBACKS ( Look at how many we've had ... )

Yeah, every team in the top 15 should just pass on him because if he had his way, just like every other player in the draft, he would like to be drafted by a good team. Jeesh.
If you actually read what he said, it's pretty silly to draw the conclusion some posters jump to. But it's nothing new around here.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

From the original board back around 1999-2000 somewhere in there I started posting. Anyways when Hank was here were were having fundraiser for our sons service dog. Danielle volunteer Hank and some other players to make a showing.
The Browns nice it because it wasn't one of their charities.
Never forgave them for that, but the local American legion took up the challenge. Two spaghetti dinners and we raised the 12,000 dollars.
We could have done that in 1 with just a little help from the Browns. All we were asking was time no money from the team. Well Koda is now going to be 11 and soon we will have to raise for another dog. I don't think I will ask the Browns for even a little time to help.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
I guess installing a hot tub in your dorm room is the epitome of maturity.
Yeah, the cops had to chase him down for that. lmao
Do you think Rosen prefers Bud Light or Miller Lite? Or doesn't it matter he's underage because he's Josh Rosen?
Well, if you're going to drink when you're under age, don't do it in public. If you do it in public, don't get caught. If you get caught, whatever you do, DON'T RUN FROM THE COPS!
I mean that would just be stupid, right?

I would take Rosen. I think Lamar Jackson has the highest ceiling of any QB coming out, but he also has a low floor and needs to sit on a learning curve.
Not only is Rosen the best prospect for us, but caving into any intimidation or demand would set a very bad precedent for the franchise.
Based on his draft history - which is incomplete and antecdotal - I'd guess Dorsey takes Mayfield (I hope I'm wrong).
Petey..............I am NOT asking anyone to agree w/me. Instead I am just stating my opinion.
That opinion is that I don't think there is any question that Rosen is by far and away the most superior QB in the draft. Furthermore, I think he is by far and away the most superior player in the draft.
I think drafting him is a no-brainer.
That doesn't mean I am right. I am just stating my opinion.
If we get a vet starter then I would take Darnold ... awe I would take Darnold 1st anyway because he has a higher ceiling ... even though USC QB's scare me, I think he is going to have a better career than Carson Palmer ... JMHO

John 3:16 Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Just clicking. I don't like midget QBs because it's an automatic problem... a limitation. Baker is OUT, in my books. I don't like small goalies in hockey for the same reason - it's a weakness that can be exploited.
I'd guess Dorsey takes Mayfield (I hope I'm wrong).
He and Highsmith are going to look at Josh Rosen and see flashes of Aaron Rodgers. Not saying he'll be that good, but the parallels are clear. Josh Rosen is going to be the Browns #1 pick.
I know that some will dismiss this. That's fine. I am only posting for the guys who respect my opinion.
I liked Jimmy G for a number of reasons: Accuracy, quick release, ability to process progressions quickly, leadership, mechanics, ability to move w/in the pocket, etc.
I see many of the same traits in Rosen.
His biggest strengths:
--Accuracy.........he leads guys into more yardage just like JG
--Quick release: the ball explodes out of his hand
--Footwork: Some guys play QB..........some guys are QBs. Rosen is a QB. His footwork is impeccable.
--Intelligence: he is the smartest guy in the draft.
Arm strength: Elite
This guy is so damn good. Some don't like him because he is an elitist who questions things. I admire his mind and how he questions social and political issues. He isn't getting busted for being drunk. He doesn't beat women. He hasn't failed drug tests. He spoke up about social issues.......LOL..........big deal.
This cat is the real deal and he will be the Browns pick at 1-1. Bank on it.

Man, we are SET to make the splash of all splashes with BOTH Rosen and Darnold declaring. THANK YOU, LORD!
I'm good with either one we take. I'd calm that thought of Rosen being far and away better than Darnold. Both these guys can be SPECIAL.
And ONE is COMING to CLEVELAND, Baby!
Hopefully this will squash these guys clamoring for Mayfield and Jackson. The comparison of those 2 to the Top 2 isn't even in the same SPECTRUM.
I still want to see us dive DEEP into ROSEN'S Concussion thing. That's gotta be concerning. As is this little bit of injury history. Or is it a history at all? We need to find out.
Man it's going to be a JOY breaking down these 2 for the next 4 months.
I'm not even going to read a single word about any other QB than these 2. It's a 2 Horse Race.
Knight posted this video in a thread in the PFF after I posted a video about Mayfield's footwork. I want to post the Rosen video here in order to give anyone interested an idea about how good this guy is.
Check out his footwork in the pocket. It's textbook.
Watch for how quick his release is.
His accuracy.
His ability to buy time in the pocket when pressured.
