After we pick our QB at #1, I think Edge Rusher and OL are luxury picks for this team right now, our OL isn't that bad, Drango played well and Coleman is much better than people give him credit for and we have Ogbah, Garrett and Nassib along with Collins coming off the edge, also WR we have 3 that I would consider NFL Recievers in Gordon, Coleman and Higgins and would love to get the Ridley kid from Bama, we have so many more pressing needs than OL and Edge rusher, especially in the secondary and at RB and WR not to say we won't address both sometime either in FA or later in the draft. ... JMHO

I don't think Ridley will be there when we pick in the second round. If we go strictly BPA, we'll likely take Minah @ #4 if he's there, which is fine with me. If he's not, depending on how they have the players ranked, they just might find more value in Chub or one of the tackles, as opposed to say Saquon, or a WR or one of the corners. It will definitely be interesting to see what they do at @ #4, and of course it's JMHO.

Must keep that left tackle spot in mind. New QB needs that protection.
Still think JT has made no decision yet. He may come to like this time off
I hope he does come back, but whether he does or not, we'll need to fill that spot at some point and I can see the logic in taking a tackle with the #4 pick. It won't be the sexy, popular pick but it could be the right one. Minkah would have to be off the board though for it to make sense to me.

I don't see us taking two QBs and starting the draft with a QB controversy. Don't see that happening at all.
I don't see Minkah and Saquon being gone. I'm just playing by the rules of the thread. With all 5 QBs coming out, I'd like to see us trade down from #4.
If Minka and Saquan are gone I would trade down and take Ridley or if we get one of those 2 at #4 I would trade back into the top 15 to get Ridley, I think he will be a star and putting him and Gordon together would strike fear into secondary's, I would also go as far as trading our 2020 1st rd pick to get Ridley. If that scenario happens that means our 1st rd. would bring us Rosen/Darnold/Allen @ #1 Barkley/Fitzpatrick @ #4 and Ridley somewhere in the top 15 that would be quite a haul and start our resurgence ... I'd like to hold but I do realize we need a ton. I figure we easily draft top five in 2019 too. Kinda tired of trade downs but IF the return is right I'm okay with it.

Our potential trade down partners would be the Broncos #5, Jets #6 and Dolphins #11. That would still keep us in a position to pick top talent. I think our best bet, without a doubt, is to try to trade down with those teams.
First pick draft site set up the same scenario with Barkley and Fitzpatrick being drafted 2 and 3. I wanted to see a simulation of what offers would be for a trade down. Tampa Bay offered the seventh picks in rounds 1,2 and 3 for the 4th overall. Knowing that many of these guys will not be available where I was able to select them. Some selections are meant to be position only picks.
Round 1 Pick 1: Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA (A) Round 1 Pick 7 (T.B.): Derwin James, SS/FS, Florida State (A) Round 2 Pick 1: Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame (B+) Round 2 Pick 4: Courtland Sutton, WR, Southern Methodist (A-) Round 2 Pick 7 (T.B.): Josh Jackson, CB, Iowa (B) Round 2 Pick 30: Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, OLB, Oklahoma (B-) Round 3 Pick 1: Ronald Jones II, RB, Southern California (A) Round 3 Pick 7 (T.B.): Duke Ejiofor, DE, Wake Forest (A-) Round 4 Pick 1: Trey Marshall, SS, Florida State (C+) Round 4 Pick 28: Marcell Ateman, WR, Oklahoma State (B) Round 5 Pick 1: M.J. Stewart, CB, North Carolina (A) Round 5 Pick 24: Royce Freeman, RB, Oregon (A-) Round 6 Pick 1: B.J. Hill, DT, North Carolina State (A+) Round 7 Pick 1: Scott Quessenberry, C, UCLA (C)
Courtland Sutton WR would be my no brainer choice if he is still there.
You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.
Hard for me to say completely without knowing the haul. However, I would trade down to #5 for as low as a third and #6 for as low as a 2nd. I'd want at least a first and a 2nd for the #11 pick. But, let's say I didn't know what we would get. I would still trade down 9/10 times. I love Minkah as a prospect, mainly because he could play CB so well. He could be our CB 1 in some games. I would still trade down as there is a chance he could still be there at #5 or #6. And if not, we could then draft Derwin James, a different safety, but one I think might make a better pair with Peppers. Their skill sets compliment each other a bit better imo than Minkah and Peppers. Or we could grab the top cornerback in the draft. Whether that's Joshua Jackson or Denzel Ward. So to make a long answer short, I think we should trade down.
No way! We already have almost half a roster of young players and 12 draft picks. We're at the point we shouldn't trade quantity for quality. We're past that point. We need impact players and he's certainly one of those.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
Fitz will probably be there at 4. His Combine numbers won't astound people.
However, he is a great football player.
Rosen and Fitz would be a huge coup for the Browns. I think that is smart and I think it makes a lot more sense than Dorsey trying to show up the previous FO, as cfrs suggested.
Because the Jets could trade us for the spot instead.
The top of the draft will be interesting because Saquon Barkley, Bradley Chubb, Arden Key and Minkah Fitzpatrick are all worthy of being the first two non-QBs picked in the draft. How they fall is anyone's guess.
I think Dorsey understands just how young this team is and that we already have 12 picks in this draft. I think he knows what we lack more than anything is impact players.
You don't get those type of players by trading down and you don't pass on one who is staring you in the face. If anything we need to be trading up with later picks than trading down. If we use second round picks and picks past that to walk away with eight rookies drafted higher and better quality, it would be smarter than adding 14 rookies with lesser talent.

Let me clue you in on something...........I'll just whisper it............not all of us are clueless and some of us can actually read between the lines.
I don’t think we move out of 4 but could see us swapping with the Giants so they get Rosen, we take Darnold or possibly Allen at two depending how he looks going into the draft. Especially if a vet who can start for a year or even two is brought in.
