Dorsey’s element is player evaluations. So they are opposites in that aspect

LOL...........okay. I just thought that since CHS compared Dorsey to The Big Show on this very thread and I said that they are nothing alike, that perhaps that motivated you asking such a question. That seemingly makes more sense than it just popping into your head.

Again, not all of us are dumb.

This. We’re not here to help the Giants. I swap with them only for a ridiculous, cannot pass up offer. Like throwing in a 2nd this year, first next year and Apple. Something ridiculous.

No, I am not suggesting that they would do it. I am suggesting we stay at 1.

I guess that will depend on who if any vet we bring in and if Dorsey is in love with Rosen or another guy. If Rosen isn’t his choice and Allen is then I’d definitely go ahead and do it, cause Allen isn’t gonna go #1. There’s a lot of variables there

well that would mean the # 2 QB is on the board so i would trade down for a ransom (no further then 10) or if I was forced to pick I'd go Josh Jackson, Ridley, Sutton or Chubb)

If?

He isn't going in the top 3 picks. He will be there. He won't sniff the top 10 picks. My guess is mid 20's at the earliest.

I seriously doubt that he last beyond the top 10. He is a monster at WR.

1. The Walrus was a bad coach. Seahawks players would say he was constantly coming in late to the building.

2. In Seattle he was originally hired as both the head coach and GM.

3. I had no idea Dorsey worked for the Walrus until yesterday when I just googled their names together. If they didn't have a professional history with each other, I still would have said it.

Ok.....maybe the 20's was a bit of a reach. My only point is he will be there at 4, and I hope we don't take him there. Not lasting until 10 is probably a stretch too....lets say 12.

Trade back a few slots to get him if that is what we really want to do.

I have already said, I don't see any way both Fitz and Barkley are gone. I don't see the Giants taking either of them.

I guess they could trade back.

The giants are taking witch ever qb we don’t ... let them sit a year or two behind Eli and let him ride off into the sunset ...

One of them will be there at 4 ...

I want Fitz ... if not him I’d take James over Barkley also ... i want the D DOMINANT!!!! ...

Great D don’t slump and ain’t affected by bad weather ... thumbsup

I really hope Dorsey s who U guys believe he is ... if he is we’ll come out of the first 4 picks with either Rosen/Darnold and hopefully Fitz .... worse case is Rosen/Darnold and either James/Barkley ... either scenario ain’t bad at all ...

I will say I will not be happy if we take Barkley over Fitz if their both available .. IMO that would be a HUGE MISTAKE ...

I don't think the Colts will take Saquon either. They're starting Bustkevious Mingo who recorded his first sack in 5 years during week 13? this season. I think they'll go Chubb or Key at #3.

Don't be surprised if Dorsey selects B. Chubb at #4 even if both Fitz and Barkley are available.

I could see that too, From what I’ve been reading about Dorsey he will double up on players especially pass rushers. He took Ford when KC had Tanba Ali and Houston already there.

Jacksonville has shown why it's important to have a company of good pass rushers. I would welcome drafting an edge rusher in the 2nd round.

What Dean said. Plus:
Dorsey seems like a BPA kind of guy
Dorsey seems to like pass rushers

Rotate pass rushers to keep them fresh
Passing downs move Ogbah inside or stand Garret up and move him around.

Pass rushers, DBs, OLineman, and DLineman. Those are the positions he seems to like early in the draft.

Do we start drafting a bunch of depth before we even have NFL quality starters in spots?
I desire great depth but we have gaping holes in spots.

I agree on the Giants.

You would think that the Colts under a new HC have to protect Luck. Their lack of protection has gotten him killed.

No guarantee but you would think they go OL.

I don't like gambling on a draft pick that high for a FS.
This is where I would look to free agency and get a young vet. I love experience and NFL game film to get the guy that fits your scheme.

Barkley is a premier back. He has the full package you look for in a runner. He has that rare combination of size, speed, vision, power and cutting ability. Plus he can catch it and return.

He gets tough yards and can take it to the house from anywhere on the field.

You don't pass on guys that can have that kind of impact.

If we get a vet FS in FA ... fine by me ...

I agree he’s a special talent ... no doubt about that ...

If not, we’ll just have to agree to disagree ... wink

After the QB at #1 ... i’m going D if the talent and need are about equal ... i’d rather build the D ... thats just my preference ... and RB’s are plentiful in this draft ...

Our D is a lot closer and d DON’T SLUMP!!!! .... thumbsup

I wouldn't call it dumb. He will probably be the best player on the board and would bookend nicely with Garrett.

That said, Fitz is right there and would anchor our secondary. He should go Fitz. He will be our Ed Reed.

James? As in Derwin James?

That would be a horrendous pick on many different levels. Not the least of which, we already have 2 SS on the roster.

you had a good run Hank.

So we go QB at #1 and then pick #2 and #3 go position players not the other QB.

Highly unlikely anyone not taking a QB would have a gold mine in a trade for somebody looking to trade up for said QB.

If we are at #4 and Darnold or Rosen is not taken as we took one of them at #1.

Heck we get the Bonanza of picks for somebody trading up to get him. 2+ first rounders at the least.

jmho not a matter of who we pick but how much do we get in compensation!

It's highly likely two QBs will go 1, 2, and that Minkah or Saquon will be there when we pick @ 4 but there is a slim possibility that Fitzs and Saquon could go 2, 3. I guess I'm wondering who values what over the free safety or running back, if someone would take a tackle or an edge rusher or something else instead. If one or both are there it would certainly set up trade possibilities, but the more I think about it, I think we have to take one of them.

Take one of Mnkah or Saquon...100% yes.

If both gone and a coveted QB is there and we already took ours.
This is of the Mega trade for picks. Similar to what we got with Wentz on the board.

Heck if no trade as time is winding down. Do we take said QB and trade him later???

Sure. Both them and the Falcons. Each are on TV every week and each stadium is about 100 miles away.
