In a conspiracy theory people can see what they want. What it actually says is he would rather go to a good team lower in the draft than a poor team near the top. Not a word about the Browns. Not specific to the Browns, but more or less like saying I hate cabbage instead of saying I hate broccoli...

Sure, whatever you say. He said he'd rather be drafted lower in the draft than higher in the draft. But whatever you say. lmao

a couple of people are telling me to stop with the Hogan pimping, that he had his shot and failed.
he started only one game (not a good one) but outplayed them the rest of our QB's up to that point.
If Hogan had his shot...then Kizer has had 14 shots...I don't get it one bit.

Considering the choices he was given at QB, yes, Kizer gave him the best chance to win.
I sure wish we would have never started Kizer this year. Then the FO and coaching staff wouldn't have known anything about whether he would improve if given playing time. We wouldn't be sure we needed to draft a QB high in the draft this year and the picture would be so much clearer now.

We took a shot on Kizer in the 2nd round. He had to play this year to get an idea of what we had in him. It's clear now we must pull the trigger at #1 on a quarterback.

This is what happened in a nut shell. And no matter what posters say, he was the most talented QB on the roster. That statement alone is sickening.

You can't name a QB your boss released as the starter.

You can't name a QB your boss released as the starter. The QB the coach put on the bottom of the roster was released. That's Hue's fault not Sashi's. Hue picked who started.

And we would be sitting here having no idea what we have in Kizer. No idea if we need to draft a QB this year. You do realize that playing Kizer may have been a group decision, right?

Kizer would have had a chance to learn to make basic reads and to take snaps from center and ball security. If he showed some progress with that, then yes he would have played some games and we could actually see what he coud do. We got to see what he could do being thrown in before he was ready this year. It wasn't pretty.

Yeah maybe we should have coddled him for a few years and ended up back at square one a few years from now. Needing a QB.
Yeah, that would have been the smart thing to do.

A few weeks would have been nice. Expecting a 20 year old kid drafted #52 to be Peyton Manning out of the box is a wisdom only Hue could come up with.

didn't take me 16 weeks to figure what we have in Kizer...knew by week four he wasn't ready and most likely won't ever be.

Hogan against the 28th ranked NFL team against the pass - 20/37 for 140 yards, 1 TD, 3 INT. What five games was he going to win when he lost the Browns easiest game? I don't get the Hogan love. It's really confusing.

Just chiming in, so sorry if I repeat a lot of what's said. I'm too lazy to shift through all the threads, to be brutally honest.
Kizer is not the answer. I think we all knew this before the season ended. Way too many mistakes and repeated scenarios of showing little improvement on the same bad decisions.
Yes, he didn;t have a ton of help... but there was A LOT he could've done to help himself and that he was in full control over.
Basically, can't wait to see who we draft at QB. Thanks Kizer, you tried.

Well, with cooks, gronk, a healthy Edelman, Lewis and white as his playmakers, Kessler really wouldn’t have an excuse.

Nah, BB would never want Kessler. If he did, he would have accepted an offer from us that included Kessler.
We could have given the Pats more draft picks/or a higher draft pick and included Kessler.
Nah............BB doesn't want a chump like Kessler. Watching grass grow is more exciting than watching Kessler play qb.
