We've been down this road before. All we've ended up doing is drafting dud spuds instead of greater taters. Good thing we have a genius front office now. We should hit on 100% of the picks. Well the odds increase the higher you pick.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Bills pick #21 and #22 do we trade #4 to them for both picks? and more? Possibly we would move up from #33 to one of those picks for a guy we are targeting that will not be there at 33.
I think we are done with trading back. Considering most likely we will have a shot at Barkley or Fitz...at #4 I doubt we trade back with these guys!

I don't see how it matters. Trade up or trade down, just get the right guys. There's no guarantee staying with #1 and #4 gets us to the playoffs any faster than trading #4 for #21, #22, their 2nd rounder and a 2nd next year will.
If you pick the wrong players, it doesn't matter where you pick.
We all know previous drafts. We passed on player X for player Y...and then Y becomes a star 6 picks behind where we stayed and we've been burned the opposite way too. Find the right dudes and get them on the field.

Yeah, that's been working well so far. Why do you think the Patriots trade down basically every year?

Yeah, that's been working well so far. Why do you think the Patriots trade down basically every year? Because they have the resources available to win while doing so. They don't "blow up" their roster to obtain picks. Extremism is not a sound idea in almost every aspect of life.

Absolutely do not want them to trade down whatsoever. Even if we sign Cousins, they need to use these high picks for the best players available. IMO, even with Cousins, you take one of the top QBs at one. At four you get the safety. We have no FS on this team. If Minkah is there you grab him.

For anyone not willing to trade down at all, I am huge for drafting Fitz at #4 but would trade him for Tre’Davious White 1 for 1 if they made the offer.
If it was Tre’Davious White and two first round picks, I'd be sprinting to turn the trade in.
Never say never.

Yeah, that's been working well so far. Why do you think the Patriots trade down basically every year? I think even trying to ask a question where you're comparing a dynasty to the worst team in football is flawed from its inception. But I'll play along. When your team is great, your job is to groom people to take over as your star players age. Work on developing the talent and grooming them on the system so as your stars age the transition is seamless. As a team devoid of a QB and difference makers on your roster, you're looking for impact players and a QB. Two entirely different and opposing scenarios call for two completely different strategies.

This raises a question for me. I hadn't thought about it so I have no preconceived notions.
What would the Browns' record have been this season if Tom Brady was our Qb? What would the Patriots' record have been if DeShone Kizer had been there Qb?
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no

If we had Brady? 7-9 If they had Kizer? 7-9 If we had BB? 7-9 If they had Hue? 0-16

Yep but from #30 not freaking #4.
Opened this thread thinking it was about our trade with the Bills n what we gave up.

I'm gonna go out and make a prediction that the Bills are gonna be trading up to #2 with the Giants in some way. Bills are gonna make a heavy move up with the extra draft stock, and this draft just got more interesting.

Giants take a QB, or Barkley.

I've seen mocks with the giants taking Chubb as well. What happens in April is anyone's guess at this time.

I say keep the picks we have and take the impact players we need. Don't trade down from #1 or #4. The trades we made yesterday made us a better team today. Keep moving in the right direction. JMO

JMO I agree with keeping out picks. We have 2 top picks that can transform the team. We constantly trade down and have statistically drafted just another guy. Use 1 and 4 to get game changers. That said, I still see Buffalo leapfrogging us to 3 to get their QB. Not sure how that plays out with us...if we go RB 1 and QB 4 or QB 1 and then hope that Barkley is still there at 4.

I would say there's a pretty good chance the Bills trade up now. The question is to who.

No doubt this opens that door.
Bills were not convinced that TT was the guy.
Now they have to move up to get their guy.
At four we hold a perfect position. We have multiple options open to us. We will approached by many. Great leverage.
We can see who is there that we love. We can trade out and get a boatload.

We still have more ammo than the Bills and are closer to the 3rd pick. If we wanted we could draft Barkley at 1 then move to 3 from 4 to take the QB the Giants didn’t take. Moving one slot for Indy might be more palatable. They’d still get their choice of player or could move again and collect more picks.

If anything we may trade up to #2. I am fine with this idea myself. You take Saquan at #1 to make sure you get the best player in the draft and then move up to #2 to get the QB you want IF there is one they actually want that bad.

Barkley is my #1 pick. I'm following the unanimous decision of the NFL scouts stating he's the best player, and then after that I say you stay at #4 or move up a spot if you think a QB is there.

Saying that the Colts could trade back further for more picks.

If I were our FO I would not trade up from 4 to 3. We have a lot of picks and this is a deep draft. We can get a very good player at a few different positions at #4. I don't want to give up any of our 3 #2's either. We can get some very good players with our 2nd round picks. Those 5 picks we have in the 1st 2 rounds are important. Stay put and take the best players. JMO

As part of the Glenn deal Buffalo is swapping 21 for 12 with Cincy. Setting themselves up for a run at a QB in the top 5.
