Yes arch, 5-8 year olds say this all of the time. And society accepts this as typical language for small children of that age group.

Did you really just go there?

And you know arch, since this is a very common thing and it's no bid geal, I have an idea.

Let's just use the term that some of you seem to uphold to describe the orifice which Trump speaks from.

Sure, I went there.

Society is full of people that use that term. That term is used by people from age 5 or so to perhaps age 100.

It's not common to be used in a public event though. And, it wasn't used in public.

It wasn't wrong to use, but it was wrong to have broadcast all over. President Trump didn't broadcast it all over.

Now, if by your statement you are insinuating that people over the age of 8 or so don't use that term, I don't know what to tell you.

Sadly, you are making a vain attempt at indicting those that use that term to be 5-8 year olds.

This board is FULL of people that use that term, or even post masking that term. You paint with a broad brush when you attempt to associate that term with childhood.

If Dems are the snowflakes. Why are the GOP leaders running and hiding from the press?

Oh that's why Lindsey Graham ran and hid when asked and the other GOP leaders don't remember what was said. Otay rofl

I actually expected a little more from you.

To say it is fine but if someone tells others you said it, it's wrong? Got it.

Next time a five year old says this, let me know how good you thought it sounded and how okay you thought it was.

I'd bet money you would have never permitted your kids to say it when they were five just like I wouldn't have allowed mine to. Now you're just being obtuse.

It doesn't sound like they are if they want to fundamentally change the way the US immigration system has been set up since inception. His coded language isn't really appealing. Most likely everyone who posts on this forum and in this thread had ancestors coming from "craphole" countries. You don't emigrate out of your country unless something is wrong.

Yeah. It's sad to see the Right say that "White racism happened! Remember when everyone hated the Irish and Germans?" and are doing the exact same thing to Haitians and El Salvadorians today.

Actually my point was that by the definition Trump used to label Haiti and some African nations, could just as easily have been used to describe Ireland many decades ago. I'm sure all of the Irish would have loved that.

Another Obama appointee makes a big sissy fuss before he gets out the way.

The Trump administration has taken a tougher stance on immigration from Latin America, most notably with moves to expel hundreds of thousands of immigrants from El Salvador, Haiti and Nicaragua who benefited from temporary protection status after natural disasters.

This is a true statement. It was uttered at work among professional colleagues.

In 30+ years on the job, I've never once heard any of my fellow players, music directors or office personnel use that type of language. Never. I can't recall ever hearing them utter a profanity stronger than "damn."

It's called holding oneself to standards.

You yourself don't use language like that, something I can easily respect. Why then would you not hold your POTUS to the same standards you expect from yourself?

Look- I drop the salty language fairly regularly, but only around close friends and in private. NEVER on the job. It's called professionalism.

So here's my problem with all this. Today, it's talk that would get him sent to DT 'banned camp.' Yesterday, it was taking credit for airliners not crashing 2017. The day before, it was something else just as reprehensible. In fact, there has been hardly a week since his inauguration that he hasn't blown up some rule of propriety, taste or character. With him, it's and endless barrage of tantrums, lies, classless remarks and name-calling.

This is behavior that you raised your kids to not exhibit. Why do you tolerate it from him? I've yet to understand this from you.

Look- I know you cast your vote as much against HRC as you did for him... and I don't really care about that as far as this conversation is concerned. But Dawg- I've known you to be a 'character person' for as long as we've been friends here. Why in heaven's name does this guy get a pass that you'd not bestow upon others?

Question: Would it have been better had he 'masked' it, as you and others do on here? Honest question.

I don't get the double standard. You, and others, type masked profanity a fair amount - especially when it comes to describing Trump. Many even attack his 'color', when he may in fact (MAY) appear that way due to some med's he's taking.

Posting masked profanity on a message board that is public to anyone that cares to register is fine, right? But, someone saying it in the privacy of a meeting, and then having others spit it out to the press makes someone look bad? Really?

I don't use language like that on here - not even masked. I don't spout it from the mountain tops out in public, either. But yeah, I at times use "bad" words, among friends. One thing you'll never hear me do is take God's name in vain. I'm not perfect, so yeah, I do and have used curse words.

Ah. Just got to this. Kinda what I described above, isn't it?

Shoot, I get sent there for bickering.

Could be. The endless barrage of lies, classless remarks and name calling? Seems to suit some on here to a t. Now, none of you are the president, I get it.

As a juvenile, no, I wouldn't tolerate either of my kids saying curse words, outloud, in front of me. In fact, Sooga knows that so well that, it's a long story - but when she came home and told us what the cop said, she wouldn't say the S word the cop used. I had to tell her it was ok to say it.

My son is 29. I don't have any control over what he says, nor do I want or need that control. It will be the same with Sooga. What she says at school? I can't control it. If for some reason her friends want to go to the press and say "Sooga said the S word.", What can I do?

I just explained why. He didn't go to the press to say it.

Seriously confused? Yes, I am. Many on here use masked profanity. Many on her attack Trump and call him names. Racist, bigot......it goes on and on.

They say/think that is fine. "eh, it's someone else". We have some defending the N word - if it ends in an "a".

Here's my bottom line: The flat out HATRED of anything the current President does, especially on here, is beyond belief.

Class seems to be a word that only applies if "your" person got elected. Once again, a double standard.

I'm going to be right across from the Stanahan tomorrow working. If you care, stop in, we'll chat. We just won't chat while I'm working, because if I'm on someone else's time, that's who is getting my attention.

I say it is about ethics and the lack thereof by the Liberal/Progressives and the Liberal Media.

There was a time when a closed door meeting stayed closed.
I remember Ronald Reagan sitting in a closed door meeting with Democrat Speaker Tip O'Neill and others, getting drunk till they couldn't walk. Hashing out issues where agreement seemed impossible.

Those in the meeting knew it, even the Press knew it, but what went on behind closed doors stayed there.
You would only hear about it years later.

Today as we have seen, the Liberal/Progressive runs out of the meeting spewing accusations in order to nail Trump. Zero ethics.

The media runs to report the accusations as truth immediately. Zero ethics.

Let me tell you about what I know about DC.

It comes from 3 county commissioners that, yes, I know fairly well, and it goes back about 15 years.

They were in DC for meetings. Senators and all. And, pretty much, what gets said on the floor of the senate, and what get's leaked to the press is all about votes. Image. "Hey, what can I go back and tell my electorate?"

The 'deals" get done in some restaurant, where I, D, or R doesn't matter. It's all "Okay, I'll go with that, IF you add this to the bill."

Same with my dad when he testified against huge HMO's. What gets discussed in person/on camera isn't at all what really happens. Now, my dad didn't testify ON the senate floor. He wasn't that big. But, he had 2 attorneys with him, sitting in a sub panel.

Same with a local guy - huge hog farmer. For him it was all 'how much could I grease them?"

Fake News!

MSNBC producer falsely claims Ambassador to Panama quit over Trump’s alleged ‘hole’ countries comment

When word broke that the U.S. ambassador to Panama quit, one MSNBC producer jumped to connect the dots to President Trump's alleged profanity in a closed-door meeting.

The problem was, Mary Emily O’Hara got out over her skis and was forced to delete an erroneous tweet that blamed Trump's comments for John Feeley resignation. The diplomat had given his notice well before Trump allegedly branded certain impoverished countries "holes."

“BREAKING: NBC confirms with the State Department that the U.S. Ambassador to Panama, John Feeley, has resigned because he can no longer feels he can comfortably serve under @realDonaldTrump. Feeley is the first U.S. diplomat to resign over the president’s comments,” O’Hara initially wrote.

It was quickly revealed that Feeley resigned 24 hours before O’Hara’s tweet, well before it was reported that Trump referred to some African nations as “hole” countries. Additionally, Feeley’s resignation letter was dated Dec. 27, 2017 – so was clearly thinking about the decision well before Trump’s alleged remark.

President Trump’s early-Friday denial that he used vulgar language in reference to immigration from certain countries only fueled the Capitol Hill furor over the remarks, with one leading Democrat standing by press accounts and accusing the president of using “hate-filled” language.

Two Republicans, meanwhile, said they could "not recall" the president using the language -- following reports that he questioned why the U.S. was taking immigrants from “hole” countries.

In a flurry of tweets Friday morning, Trump had both defended his immigration stance while claiming the reports about his meeting with senators were inaccurate.

“The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used. What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made - a big setback for DACA!” Trump tweeted early Friday.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/01/12/war-words-escalates-over-trumps-immigration-comments.html

I watched the News tonight and almost every station talked as if it was a fact he said it. The only tape they ran was the Democrat making the accusation.

Looks more and more like another Hair on Fire moment.
