Just an update. The last couple days I've been able to walk without a cane or Walker around the house. Today my legs are sore because im pushing it. My wife asked what I'm doing different. Told her I'm using the stairs. Up down sideways, squats everything. I'm forcing myself to get better.
Now maybe all these vitamins are finally making me better or after 11 months it's getting better. I don't know, but I still have a appointment next month with the Parkinson's clinic next month on the 17 th.

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
Stairs, especially going down stairs, is the hardest thing I have had to do.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
Just to catch up. All my tests came back and after my Dr appointment today. It was confirmed today it's Parkinson's. Start my new meds tomorrow. I'm going to kick this to the curb. Also sometime in the next week or so I will be starting therapy. Well that's it

Here's hoping your meds and therapy prove effective.
Don't never EVER give up!!!!!
Never said it was over Rocky. Hell I have battled OA for,25 yrs. Damn crap attacked my joints. Over 35 surgeries in that time. This is just something else for me to beat.

Ok let me say Parkinson's is NOT a death sentence. I'm 65 years old I plan to beat my great grandma who was 102 years old. Now maybe I won't beat my great grandma, but I will beat my dad who passed at 2 weeks short of 80. I already passed my mom who passed at 57 from an adomable aneurysm which I also have plus an aortic aneurysm. All I'm trying to say I'm one of those guys you don't want to bet against.

Read this shortly after you posted. I was looking for the right words before I replied. I haven't come up with the right words though.
What I can do is say you're in my thoughts and prayers.
Kick it to the curb bud, kick it.
Ya know ach there is nothing to say. I guarantee I will win. hell I'm 65. I'm on the downside, but I will beat my dad. He always wanted me to be a professional baseball player. When I was drafted and said no.he never knew until just before he passed.
I loved construction and I was a mason foreman for over 35 yrs. I don't regret my decisions

BOB..now that you know what you are dealing with..you can focus on the challenges ahead.
As you said, Parkinson's is not a death sentence and you do have goals. Living with Parkinson while research and treatments continue to advance...there is a reason for optimism.
Bob, as a fellow Browns fan, you have my support ...mac

no kidding ytown. and it's not just the stairs but any downward imcline is hard
This sounds stupid, but my church has the pews set up "auditorium style", where it's highest at the back, and declines as you go forward towards the Pulpit area.
That little incline really hurt ... even just sitting through services. Luckily there was a seat in the far back that I was able to get back, (my mom and I used to sit there, until this young couple with their baby came in and sat there, but they haven't been in in quite a while) that had a more level floor. It was crazy how much that slight decline really hurt my legs and feet, even sitting down.

And I am happy I will be doing therapy with someone I know and respect. I will post how it went , but my wife and my therapist may be talking to much so i'll try to post what she wants
