Where do you fall on the x and y axis?

The x is the economic scale, and the y is the social scale.

Libertarian socially means you're all about giving personal freedoms. It's not quite how Libertarian thought is understood in the US.

I've done these tests a few times over the years and it's pretty good. I got a -8.25 and -6.51 this time. I usually am more Libertarian, but oh well. Recently I found this test online https://8values.github.io It's a little quicker to go through and some of the questions are the same. These were my results on that test

Do libertarians bug you so much you have to make a poll about it?

The thing with libertarians is...

There are left leaning libertarians.
And right leaning libertarians.

Libertarians are the great fence sitters.

We love social freedoms. And fiscal conservation.

So like. Decide where you live on that scale.

And don't complain.

We won't ever have a quality candidate.

Unless Rand Paul happens to run. But he won't. Not for us.

For Repubs again. But he will fail because not being true to
his true self.

But whatever.

This is what happens when you make polls about libertarians.

*grumble*

The poll was to figure out where we all rest politically. I wanted to try and clarify the libertarian word as it's not meant in the classical sense of how many U.S. individuals view themselves.

Quote:
We love social freedoms. And fiscal conservation.

This poll shows how you can come out quite fiscally liberal but still end up libertarian on social policy (due to freedoms). I wanted to explain that, but I think you might've accidentally taken it personal.

I came out extremely closer to libertarian than I did authoritarian.

There's a whole other discussion on the merits of Libertarianism, but that's for a different thread at a different time.

I like the one CHS posted. Maybe try that one, too? It's a bit longer than the other.

Ok. That's the thing though. I think very many people would find themselves having a libertarian point of view if they even knew what libertarian was.

All just words used to drive a wedge between people. Used to attempt to shove others into a neat little box so they can be mocked, belittled, or separated from others. It's a damn shame everybody can't just realize we are all unique individuals. banghead
