Even your non-whimsical responses were rebutted yesterday. Keep saying something over and over again, eventually it will be true -

-Hillary will win the election!
-Trump will not make it to summer!
-Trump will not make it to thanksgiving!
-Trump will not make it to Xmas!
-Trump will not pass tax reform!

What has Trump done to give more meaningful opportunities to those in impoverished areas in our country?

And when the Dem's were in the WH the GOP would "trout" out someone like David Duke, Jeff Sessions, or Roy Moore for the rebuttal.

I read just fine. Who are the people you are talking about?

Your sentence can be construed as those were the ones giving the rebuttal.
Maybe you should check your writing skills.

Sanders barely smiles herself. It’s like the pot calling the kettle black.

I’ll take a young Jackie O’s classic American beauty over Melania and her eastern block, chiseled, and likely cosmetic surgery altered face. To each their own.

J/C ........ Nancy Pelosi thought that a $1000 tax cut for the middle class is "a crumb". She has doubled down on that comment, as well. She is so ridiculously out of touch with the middle to lower middle class that it's both ridiculous and amazing.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz also made similar comments. I don't know anyone who would consider an extra $1000 to be a "crumb".

Not to defend the statement but to put it in perspective... To a company that boasts millions, if not billions, of dollars in profits, with CEOs that make more daily than the average employees’ yearly salary, a $1000 bonus is a crumb.
Now is that crumb meaningless to the employee? No. But is the bonus a crumb as compared to the corporate profit? Absolutely. Did these companies NEED a tax break to afford these bonuses? No.
Again, yes, I understand they did give bonuses. I understand they didn’t have to. But some perspective is important.

First off, your statement is telling.

A 7 year tax cut that progressively gets smaller every year. While the rich gets a permanent reduction in the corporate tax rate and no inheritance tax. Yeah, it's a crumb.

I didn’t get a crumb. To add, $1000 after taxes wouldn’t exactly change my world. On any level. It’s roughly a weeks pay. Not exactly going to finish paying my car loan or allow me to rip my mortgage papers up.
Would it be nice? Of course, ‘free money’ is always nice. Duh. But to act as though it’s life altering is laughable.

Yeah, anyone who doesn't want a crumb can send it this way as well. I just got a call at church yesterday from a woman on disability, without a car, and with no food in her house. Thankfully we were able to get her some food, and $1000 would go a long way towards helping people in our community.

I wonder what the Pelosis pay the people who work their vineyards? I wonder what the workers in the restaurant she is invested in are paid?

Who said that it would be life altering?

To a person paying $5000 in income taxes, a $1000 cut is a 20% reduction in their taxes. That is hugely significant.

Not dissing the handout. I’m dissing all you that think that these bonuses were done as some benevolent act by corporations that take in MASSIVE profits off their under paid hourly employees. All done because a tax cut that they must have desperately needed to stay financially solvent. Or some such nonsense.
Again. I’m not knocking the bonus. I’m laughing that you all fell for the premise.

wow...page after page of hate and garbage posts...I forgot what this thread is about...

How many people live paycheck to paycheck? Portland, your views on these bonuses is so shortsighted and biased. Before the tax cuts, what were these employees making? Where was the corporate money stashed before these tax cuts?

Libs are the most hateful people...man it's disgusting.

That’s my point! These companies under pay their employees while they make massive profits that they keep off shore. Do you think they couldn’t have afforded these bonuses before?
I don’t have an issue with the bonuses. Or the temporary financial effect it may have on the recipient. I have an issue with giving massive tax cuts to companies that historically under pay their employees, sock money away off shore, while STILL making huge profits and paying their CEOs massively out of proportion to their hourly employees. That’s my issue. Not the bonuses. The premise that they only could do this because of the massive tax cut is laughable.
