I think that Brownie the Elf was possessed by evil spirits and he is the one who put voices in the heads of those who wanted to move the Browns and he has also put a curse. on the team when we came back.
Seems to me you are looking for trouble. Who cares if a person said that? Are they not entitled to their opinions? Will society be adversely affected if they voice that opinion?
Looking for trouble-- that is rich.
Of course people are entitled to their opinions and if they want the Indians name changed, they should say so. They're every bit as entitled to that opinion as you and I are to say there's nothing offensive about the name 'Indians' and it shouldn't be changed.

I notice that you didn't reply to me. Why would that be? Because I advocated changing the logo but not the name and that doesn't fit into the picture you are painting, right?
Can you think of any reasons why I wouldn't respond to that? 170 replies in a thread, maybe picking and choosing the most thought-provoking posts to respond to as we can't respond to them all. Limited time on a Saturday in the late afternoon/early evening. Or maybe I just wanted to spite you and purposely ignored your post.

Look, people are going to whine and protest about all sorts of things. That doesn't mean we have to change everything just because they do.
I think there is huge difference between what Chief Wahoo represented and what names like Braves, Blackhawks, Seminoles, and yes...even Indians represent.
Like I wrote somewhere else in the thread, I don't care enough to fight for Chief Wahoo and never really understood the infatuation for the logo to begin with (though Razor's excellent posts gave me more to think about in that regard, kudos to him.)
I personally never cared much for the Chief Wahoo logo, though I am coming at this from the angle of style and personal taste. It lacks the seriousness and professionalism that a professional sports team should project. Again, personal opinion.
Never ever prank Clem by leaving Chief Wahoo Bobbleheads on all of his windowsills on Halloween
Here’s what you do. Get that company that makes the laser lights that reflect on your house, the one you can replace the discs for the various holidays. Then have them make a disc with the good chief on it. Imagine hundreds of little wahoo’s scurrying all around Clem’s house!
Oh no no no, then he would hire this lady to haunt me
I should be allowed to sue for mental anguish at having that put into my head ...
You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.
Chief Wahoo protester admits he stole money meant for Native Americans
A Cleveland man known for his opposition to the Cleveland Indians' "Chief Wahoo" mascot has admitted to stealing more than $77,000 in federal grant money meant to help Native Americans, federal prosecutors said Wednesday.
Robert Roche, 71, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft from programs receiving federal funds.
LOl....the Cleveland team needs to change the name because it "hurts my people"...then you steal near 80K from "your people". That's funny and sickening at the same time.
Cheap cause.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
