I don't blame them if they go all-in. They've got a great team.

Would LOVE to see a Penguins/Bolts series.

Tampa should absolutely trade for a top tier D-man. I don't know who's really out there? Great defensemen are always tough to come by.

Mike Greene (Red Wings) might be available for a few months' rental. He'd be an upgrade for any team. But generally, yeah, good D-men aren't easy to get.

Watched the leafs/ Nashville game tonight. Toronto won 3-2 in a shootout but I'll tell ya, Nashville has a tremendous group on the blue line. Preds defence corps is as good as there is.

Just think if Seth Jones was still in that mix.

Man, the Blackhawks stink.

It’s disheartening man, it just seems like everything that went wrong against Nashville, carried right over to the regular season.

I dunno what they are going to do but they can’t think they’re just gonna come out of this, and I don’t even mean this season. Going forward if they can’t reshuffle that roster they might have to change the way they play the game, and that’s a tough pill to swallow when you’ve won 3 of the last 8 Stanley cups.

I’m psyched for the playoffs though. Sucks the Hawks won’t be a part of it but there are some really good teams this season and the possibility of some of these matchups is awesome.

Good game Sunday night with Detroit and Toronto. Austin Matthews scored in the last minute and leafs won 3-2. He is my new favourite American wink . Competitive game though, back and forth with each team getting good chunks of pressure in the other team's zone.

The Blackhawks still have a good core, and they'll need to develop some younger guys to complement it. But they've had a great almost-decade, with three Cups, so their fans shouldn't complain too much.

Watching the Jackets with 2/3 of their new players and it seems like they've gotten a bit of a boost from the trades! Just a small kick in the butt and it's a whole new squad. Still missing Vanek who will give a huge boost to their scoring. String a few together and your back in the thick of things.

Vanek was a nice addition for CBJ, definitely upgraded with him, even though he's not a household name.

Boston got Nash and Tampa got McDonagh. Both ex-Rangers, who are officially launching the rebuild.

Toronto got Plakenek from Montreal as a face off guy, solid depth at centre and good on the penalty kill. Still has speed at 35.
