Cavs will now be barred from trading the Brooklyn Nets pick they own until after the draft. So that issue can be retired. I just heard on the radio that they can still trade the Brooklyn pick if they get back a (later) first rounder as part of the trade.

Is Lebron going to play in the shadows of Magic, Kareem and Kobe on a gutted Laker roster with just Paul George and none of his crew, so he can get eliminated in the 2nd round of the Playoffs by the Warriors, while putting up with Lavaar Ball's crap and inadvertently helping him promote his BBB brand? (No.)

I don't like having to give up a number 1, but I really do like this trade for both teams.
Clarkson can score and Nance is athletic. Both guys are young. We got rid of IT who was just not fitting in and Frye who was as soft as Charmin.
We just got much more athletic.

(No.) You don't think the Lakers would trade Lonzo Ball in a second if LeBron told them to? LeBron might get eliminated in the second round by the Bucks on the Cavs. The Lakers roster is hardly gutted. They have several pretty good young players (Ingram and Kuzma). My guess is that Dywane Wade would go to LA and play for the MLE or maybe the minimum. Either way. The Cavs did clear cap space for the Lakers. Before this trade the Lakers had no hope at getting Paul George and LeBron, now there is a sliver of hope.

Even if LeBron leaves, the Cavs have some pretty good young players (Nance, Clarkson, and Hood) to build with. Dan Gilbert is doing a great job today.
