Bipartisan group of senators says it has a DACA deal

-The so-called Common Sense Coalition working on immigration legislation has reportedly reached a consensus.
-Sen. Lindsey Graham says the deal will provide a pathway to citizenship for the so-called Dreamers and will also address border security.
-He says it will not address the so-called diversity visa lottery or family-based "chain migration."

Hey 40 - do you think this will actually pass and get signed?

Maybe it is too early to answer that wtihout details, but with 2 of Trumps wishes not being included (and I'll guess it doesn't include 25b for the wall), it feels like it might pass but is more likely to be vetoed than signed.

I think if the Senate passes it, it goes to the House.
The House may add those things and send it back to the Senate.
Time will tell but at least we have a beginning.

Anybody else notice that both parties aren’t really down for trumps border wall?

Hey, when is Mexico gonna cough up the check and pay for it? Isn’t that what trump said would happen?

And Trump won't be down with signing it.

Let’s quit pretending that Mexico is writing a check...they can “pay for it” by cutting out any aid funds the US sends to them...nothing in our Constitution says we have to give them anything.

That is why I answered, "Yep, that's what he said."

I have no doubt Mexico will pay for the wall, one way or another.

except thats not what your boy said.

and diverting funding from one and putting it in another is not "mexico paying for it".

you sound just like another snake oil sale....i mean, politician right now.

whats sad is that you're lying for Trump.

but you're too sheepish to even realize that.

Hey, when is Trump gonna give us cheap healthcare that covers everybody?

and when will he bring his jobs from china back to the US now that he got the tax cuts?

No, what's sad is your inability to accept that Mexico will be paying for the wall.

One way or nuther.

diverting funds is not mexico paying for the wall.

that's US taxpayers paying for the wall. it's why he's currently asking US to pay for the wall.

stop lying. you won't be getting into heaven lying your ass off everyday.

It is efficient use of taxpayer funds (borrowed money is not taxpayer funds but that’s for another thread) at Mexico’s expense....in other words they will be paying for it.

Personally, I think the deal for the dreamers he offered in the SOTU speech was reasonable, I’d speed up the path to citizenship, but other than that, they shoulda taken it.

no it isn't. and you just admitted that mexico will not pay for it. the useless spin that came after that isn't needed.

You are right...efficient use of tax payer funds would be a balanced budget that spends only what comes in...SS,Medicare,Debt payments, veteran pay and defense takes up north of 90 % of federal funds...all the other spending on social programs is inefficient.

Debt (personal and governmental) is slavery.
