And no where does it say he injured anyone.... Pretty damning indeed... Like I said, false news.
Oh, well, if he didn’t hurt the guy then there’s nothing wrong doing that. Let’s wait until his choir practice is over and as long as he has no merit badges to work on let’s bring him in for an interview. Poor misjudged guy.
Nobody made up that he purposely threw a pass to intentionally hit an opponents player in the head. The crotch grabbing and mouthing F you to an opponent. That he was getting arrested and ran from the cops. Tried to plant a flag on an opponents field in astro turf. Those are facts and legitimate reason to question his character.
You keep making excuses for it but that doesn't change anything. He has questionable character best case scenario and is a complete nut case worst case scenario.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

But what was made up?

What are you talking about? What excuses am I making? About what? The only excuses I keep reading are made up from the people who don't like him and don't take the time to vet him because they want to make him the next Manziel. So be it, I guess.

You have to understand that there is a campaign on here against any QB not named Josh Rosen. Take it with a grain of salt. Nobody on the Browns is listening to the Rosen bunch on Dawgtalkers.
Of course you too wish to deny actual facts about Mayfield.
It seems fans would have learned by now where ignoring players character has gotten us. Yeah, let's hit opponents in the head with the football by throwing it right at them! Let's get arrested and run from the cops! Let's grab our crotch on the field and mouth F you to the opposing team!
"There will be some fans who don't care what as azzhole I am!"

The coach also said he is uncertain if junior safety Niko Small will be available for Saturday’s game. He has missed the last two games with a head injury.
What Patterson did express is frustration with the league, overall, and wanted to clear up something with the Sooners.
During warmups before the TCU game in Norman on Nov. 11, OU quarterback Baker Mayfield was seen throwing a ball that hit a TCU player. The player? TCU safety Niko Small.
Patterson would/could not say whether Small’s injury was caused by Mayfield’s “errant?” pass.

I'm not denying a thing. I was one of the first guys to bring up issues with Mayfield earlier in the year.
You should check the PM's here from your leader and he'll tell you what to think next.
A campaign needs to be coordinated to be effective.

I haven't recrived a PM from someone in quite a while. Unlike you, I don't need a leader. I can think for myself. I can see an obvious head case in Mayfield.
Some people can see the obvious and don't need a campaign to accomplish that.

I guess one can't question his ball placement and accuracy.
Well, it was either a completely douche bag move, in which case I wouldn't sign him. Or he is wildly inaccurate, in which case I don't want him.
I see it the other way.
In the article it said the guy who sent TCU out didn't know where to send them. He sent them through the Okie stretch line. Mayfield didn't know this. He may have thought they were showing disrespect, so he plunked one of them.
Good for him. I want my QB doing that....or any player for that matter. I don't see it as a punk move. I see it as the only move. I like guys with fire. I like guys who play through the whistle. The sound of the whistle is like a yellow light. You don't always stop at a yellow light. Sometimes it turns red half way through.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
So you want your QB beaning the opposing team in the head with the football? Really? Wow! I guess piling up penalties in the NFL sounds like a winning proposition to you.

Well, on the other hand, that would lead one to believe he has accuracy, wouldn't it?

yep.. for that whole 8 yards lol
being a browns fan is like taking your dog to vet every week to be put down...

If they punked us, yes. You bet. So we kick deeper or they kick off nearer.....so what?
I find it just as shocking you don't see how this is a benefit. Since when do you want your QB to be a punk in the truest sense?
Looks like the days of Ben Davidson are over.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
I won't pretend to know what he was thinking, I see it as a dick move regardless of his motivation. The kid who took the shot had nothing to do with where they ran out or why. I like fire and I'd generally like to see the Browns take less crap on the field but I don't like a-holes. I think that was an a-hole play. For example I could've gotten behind TCU giving him an ass-whipping for his dickless display. JMHO

I favor sportsmanship, to start. But if they are not mirroring that and want to punk you or hurt you, there are limits. How you retaliate is part of this.
It's football. There are times when there is some crap up with which thou shalt not put. Like hockey without an enforcer.

If this is the guy you want to be the face of the franchise there's no accounting for taste.
You all know if you love the kid there is a different attitude towards that.
1. If he ever did that to a Steeler he would become a folk hero here and you know that.
2. Come on something like that is spontaneous. The fire and bravado would be welcomed here cause we need some of that to turn us around.
3. The environment is different in the NFL. He also would be a little more mature. What he did in college is not outrageous and this girl scout attitude to his actions I think is not who we are but more so what we do when we don't like a QB in pimping wars.
Do I want him to do the exact same stuff here. No but I don't mind one bit that at the right time and the right place and without premeditation brings that along to our team...I'm with it.
Keep in mind as a rookie I don't he would act that way. Keep in mind his teammates are not embarrassed with his actions. Keep in mind he has earned the respect from his teammates and he does these reactions that probably come from the College rah rah. I think his emotions from college ball will not be quite the same with him being a rookie Professional ball player.
You all know if you don't like him you will disrespect his actions regardless. It will be, OH he shows no emotions he is just like Cutler.
Quite frankly I welcome some tude around here! As long as we WIN, that is the key
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!
This team needs and has needed leaders in the worst way for years. Someone who shows some emotion is not all bad. I liked that about Pryor when he was here. We don't have enough players that hate to lose. If Mayfield can give us an attitude as a team along with good QB play, that would mean a lot. But the good QB play is a must or his type of leadership would not work. I am counting on Dorsey and co. to make the best decision for the Browns.
I just want a winner. We need players who can be part of the solution not part of the problem.
So you want your QB beaning the opposing team in the head with the football? Really? Wow! I guess piling up penalties in the NFL sounds like a winning proposition to you.
As per usual people wish to take one of many incidents and focus on that single issue. The problem is this is a pattern, not a single incident.
I've seen people make similar excuses for other players we've drafted and I've seen the results of it. Sorry if I'm actually trying to learn from history.
