Let's hope that his gut feeling is better than some we have seen in the past.

Andrew Hawkins has 'gut feeling' Joe Thomas returns

Former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins combined forces with offensive tackle Joe Thomas to create a very successful podcast called 'The ThomaHawk Show.' The two have spent a lot of time together which means that Hawkins has had more access to the lineman than anyone with the exception of his family.

Hawkins revealed that he has a 'gut feeling' that Thomas returns for a 12th NFL season.

Andrew Hawkins says “gut feeling” is his podcast partner Joe Thomas will return next season for #Browns. Says he has no inside info. Just a feeling.

Thomas is hoping to make a decision before free agency opens Mar. 14.

“I’d like to make a decision before free agency to give the Browns the best opportunity to prepare for everything that happens in the off-season. Whether I’m going to come back or retire, I think, from their perspective, having a certain need going into free agency is important," Thomas said on SiriusXM NFL Radio.

The 33 year old was selected No. 3 overall in the 2007 NFL Draft. He has made ten Pro Bowl appearances in his career and is a sure-fire first ballot Hall of Fame inductee. The Wisconsin product played 10,363 consecutive offensive snaps. He tore his triceps tendon earlier this season against the Tennessee Titans.

Thomas would have a cap hit of $14.25 million next season.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

If so, that's great news.

I want more of Joe, please. Hope Hawkins is right.

As to "gut going", I thought that was a Romeo Crennel thang for awhile, the nonsense about the mystery starter at qubee week after week. But i am quite possibly wrong and admit my memory may not be quite correct. Trust me.

Romeo was the coin flip. Butch was the gut feeling.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I think Joe comes back for one more year but tells the FO to get his replacement asap.

I think he gives it one more chance and if we show success, I think he'll return for yet another year.

1. Hue was retained continuity was a deal breaker.

2. $$ was given to JT to come back.
Very respectful move.

3. Looks like we are committing to a vet QB...AJ probable

4.looks like we are drafting a #1 QB
I think he is coming back. wink

I wouldn't be surprised if Joe played a few more seasons. He is obviously itching to get back on the field. When he was doing interviews at the Super Bowl his tone was very desperate, like Gruden level desperate to get back on that field. I'm happy we'll have him back.
