God bless them all but they still haven't even figured out that President Trump started out at 15% on the Corporate tax rate,
while the Congress, including the Republicans, were saying 28%.
We never would have gotten to 21% if it were not for Trump starting the whole thing at 15%.

I’d be FLOORED if any of them actually ever negotiated anything of significance ... they prolly think dickering with a car salesman or over the price of a house is “negotiating” ... in my world ... thats CHILDS PLAY ...

I will admit ... i’m Not really sure what the purpose of this was initially ... when he came out with it last week the timing was awful coincidental to the next round of NAFTA talks witch were either last week or this week ... and so far in the previous 6 - 8 “talks” there getting no where .... the possibilities on what he was doing here WERE and STILL ARE ENDLESS ....

Its becoming clearer ... the possibilities for those of us that actually pay attention and have more than a remedial understanding of this stuff ... my first thoughts were ...

- is this to spur NAFTA along ... Canada and Mexico are up near the top of our steel suppliers ...
- was it a shot at the Chineese over NK or their currently manipulation or their aluminum trading ...
- was it simply because we need to have steel and alimunum manufacturing capabilities for many reasons ...

The way it sits now .... it looks like NAFTA and our need for manufacturing of both those products ... last i heard witch was today ... as of NOW ... he says NO COUNTRIES ARE OFF THE HOOK ... some companies may not be on the hook from certain countries ... but overall ... right now .. ZERO COUNTRIES ...

Right now ... seeing as how i’ve actually been in negotiations and understand this is just the NEGOTIATING inside the NEGOTIATION ... even though there’s no one at the table ... *LOL* ...

What Trump did here is what i like to call COMMON SENSE ... lets throw out the trial balloon and see what happens ... we’ll know what happenend when the final draft comes out ... til then ... For those of us that have a firm grasp of 1 x 1 = 2 will just CHILL and enjoy the HATING OVER NOTHING at this point ...

His approach helped me quite a bit in closing out a favorable multi year rehab/lease deal on my office, as well as closing other sales deals. I don't deal with sales direct often, but I am involved in the calls, and my mix of salesmanship and technical prowess has advantages because I can back up what I say with technical know how. When I bought my Cadillac last month, I didn't really approach it any differently than I did the office lease, other than identifying what was important to the seller/lessor and being tactical in how I approached it, and used human nature to my advantage. To me what your actually negotiating matters significantly less than how you go about getting the deal. And the old adage "you get more with honey than vinegar" holds some weight.

For someone like myself who is very analytic, I found it a very helpful read. Instead of a "shock and awe" approach some people use, it's about how to use various emotions tactically, especially empathy. I figure since his job involved keeping people from dying that he would know a thing or two about how to get people to do what you want

Diam’s use of ‘to’ is also incorrect. It should be ‘too’. It’s another struggle for him. Very confusing that there’s three ‘to’s’. Two, too, and to. Very confusing.
Let’s break this down.
Two- a number. There are two apples on the table.
To- expressing motion in the direction of a particular location. Go to the table and pick up an apple.
Too- in addition; also. Or it can be used to define excess to a higher degree than is desirable. You may eat the apple too. Just don’t eat it too fast.

Arch. Have it be noted that in this thread Diam said he likes to learn. I know these lessons must be very difficult. English is a difficult language. This can be seen by how slowly he’s able to pick it up. This despite countless attempts at teaching him...since about the 3rd grade or so.

You're right. When someone decides they want to portray their self as the smartest guy in the room. When they want to state that anyone who doesn't walk lock step with their beliefs as not being able to add 1+1, they set themselves up. When someone portrays anyone who disagrees with them as stupid, they reap what they sow.

And you try not to depending on who it is, not as a general rule.
