Not only a good move, a good Public Relations move.. Dorsey should run for office If Dorsey grabs us a legit QB, even if he has to take the time on the sideline to develop and grab us a few more solid players - Dorsey for President of the United States of America lol... Dorsey for President of the Entire Global Continent hahahahaha.

I think Dorsey is simply doing his job. There very well may be other good consequences that are a result that comes from it. But it sounds a little far fetched to me that these moves were done for the sole purpose to attract FA's.
We do have a very well respected FO in place now and I'm sure that will be far more attractive to FA's and their agents. I believe each of the moves made thus far stand on their own merit. The byproduct of these moves may be of some benefit in making the Browns appear as a more attractive destination moving forward.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Entering this off-season, we had 3 primary areas of true weakness:
QB WR DB
We have added a solid QB, an excellent slot receiver, and a FS.
I suspect that we will add another WR and another DB in free agency. I doubt that we go RB, because the value might not be there.
We will take a QB at 1 overall, but if we add those 2 extra pieces in free agency, we might just go RB at 4 if Barkley is there.
I am starting to get excited about this coming year.

I am starting to get excited about this coming year. The pages of the book do seem they're starting to turn now huh? I reserve getting excited though. I know where that excitement usually leads to after the first two or so regular season games. Hopefully it's different.

Chiefs out here making cap-saving moves left and right 🤔 https://twitter.com/ChrisFedor/status/973254567709331463Follow-up: Not to kill the Browns good vibes, but this is because Dorsey made a huge cluster-F of the cap in KC. He has a bajillion dollars here in CLE so it’s all good, but something to keep in mind down the road. Back to happy Browns thoughts. https://twitter.com/DawgsByNature/status/973255050968657922

Watching the Miami Dolphins cut all their big FA acquisitions is the primary reason why I hope we don't "win" 2018 Free Agency.

I just want to see us add 2 or 3 free agents.
Maybe Rams CB Trumaine Johnson, Seahawks WR Paul Richardson, and maybe a penetrating DL to replace Shelton in rotation.
Then take it easy, look for some bargains once the initial explosion calms, and work on the draft.

I count Landry as a FA acquistion because I'm assuming we'll try and extend him to a contract, which is fundamentally the purpose of FA. One or two more (and I'm fine if they were mid-type players) and I'm set. Focus on the draft, IMO.

j/c: Terrelle Pryor, Trumaine Johnson, Brashad Breeland and Nate Solder on the Browns' radar in free agencyCLEVELAND, Ohio -- Terrelle Pryor could be coming back home, and the Browns will consider tackles such as Nate Solder to replace Joe Thomas, sources tell cleveland.com. What's more, the Browns' trade for Packers cornerback Damarious Randall won't preclude them pursuing big-name cornerbacks in free agency such as the Rams' Trumaine Johnson, who played for Gregg Williams for four season with the Rams. They'll also go after Redskins cornerback Brashad Breeland, a fourth-round pick out of Clemson in 2014. That's in part because Randall could end up playing safety here depending on how things shake out in free agency and the draft. The 'legal tampering period' began at noon on Monday, with teams permitted to begin negotiating deals for free agents and then consummating them when the league year opens Wednesday at 4 p.m. The Browns got a jump on free agency by trading for Tyrod Taylor, Jarvis Landry and Randall, but they'll still be big players in the market, and have about $77.9 million to spend, according to overthecap.com. The Browns will pursue Pryor, who never wanted to leave here in the first place last year. But his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, didn't think it was best for Pryor to be wrapped up for four years at about $8.5 million to $9.5 million a year. Instead, he declined the offer and the Browns gave a similar deal to Kenny Britt, who flopped and was cut in December after making $10 million guaranteed. Pryor also didn't fare well in Washington, but struggled with foot and ankle injuries for most of the season and ultimately underwent season-ending ankle surgery in November. His numbers in Washington were similar to what Britt's were here: 22 catches for 240 yards and a TD in nine games, including two starts. But Hue Jackson likes Pryor and actually tried to get him back in a trade before the deadline in October. Under Jackson and then receivers coach Al Saunders, Pryor caught 77 passes for 1,007 yards in 2016. If he returns, he'll likely play outside opposite marquis "X" receiver Josh Gordon, with Jarvis Landry playing in the slot. It would provide new quarterback Tyrod Taylor with a trio of dangerous receivers, and he'll also have Duke Johnson and David Njoku as targets. The Browns will also likely add some weapons to what they hope is a high-powered passing game in the draft, where they have five picks in the first 64, including No. 1 and No. 4 overall. Pryor commented on a Duke Johnson Instagram post this offseason, saying "Hopefully I'll be witcha next year.'' Other receivers likely on the Browns' radar are Jacksonville's Allen Robinson, who's coming a torn ACL, and the Rams' Sammy Watkins, who played with Taylor in Buffalo. The pre-free agency period opened with Thomas still not informing the Browns of his plans for the 2018 season. Sources say that the longer it goes, the more the Browns think he'll retire, which has them looking around for his replacement. One option is Solder, who's started the past seven seasons for the Patriots. The Texans' are also reportedly hot on the heels of Solder (6-8, 314). The Dolphins are also shopping right tackle J'Waun James, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. James has never played left tackle, so it would be a projection for the Browns. The 2014 first-round pick has started all 47 of his games for the Dolphins at right tackle. James is playing on his fifth-year option of $9.34 million. Johnson, the 6-2, 213-pound cornerback would be a natural fit because of his history with Williams, and the Browns need help on the back end, especially if the Browns move Randall to safety, which a source told cleveland.com is a possibility. The Packers are reportedly heavily pursuing Johnson, a third-round pick in 2012, after trading Randall to the Browns. Johnson, 28, has played two years under the franchise tag, collecting $30.69 million. In 2015, he grabbed a career-high seven interceptions, the only time in six seasons he had more than three. If they don't land Johnson, the top corner on the market, they'll look to Breeland. The Panthers and a number of other teams have been mentioned in connection with the fifth-year pro. The Browns figure to be active in the market, and might still have some trades up their sleeves. They haven't been thrilled with 2015 No. 15 overall pick Corey Coleman, and would likely be willing to move him, especially if they sign Pryor, Robinson or another free agent receiver. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2018/03/terrelle_pryor_trumaine_johnso.html

All the more reason I say we are bringing in a FA WR. Tyrod makes us a little more enticing, along with knowing we have a QB waiting in the draft. . ..

If the Browns sign Nate Solder, I have to think that means Joe is retiring, because I can't see anything in Solder's history about ever having played RT. He was converted from TE to OT at Colorado in his Sophomore year and started 12 games at LT, then played LT the rest of his college career. So while it would be a good signing, it would also be bittersweet because I didn't want to see JT's career end with an injury, and because I was hoping to watch greatness for another year or two.

Dude, if we sign Solder then JT has definitely said he's not coming back.
Given he does retire, we sign Solder, TP, Johnson in addition to moves we've made already - wow... when was the last epic free agency period we had that could compare?
We might not be in the top 10 in available cap space anymore but we SHOULD be a crap load better as a football team.

I could see it if he could take over at RT in the interim. Maybe he could play RT, I don't know how big an adjustment that would be.

I agree with the Solder and Joe Thomas issue...I was wondering if the Browns know Joe Thomas isnt coming back (maybe thats why they steered out of the Kirk Cousins race) Knowing Solder will cost alot...then again I would imagine all of Joe Thomas money will come off the books too..Then again just speculation

JC... Who I'm hoping we grab in FA... CB Trumaine Johnson- Enough said. S Kenny Vacarro- plays FS, SS, and slot safety...Young and talented RB Charles Sims- Big back with great hands, very young legs...will be cheap TE Dion Simms -Bears will release him, big thick TE whom is one of the better blockers in the league...We need this, will be cheap DT Daquon Jones- A vet for inside, good against the run, and can still get to the QB despite being 320 lbs...Coming off biceps surgery, should be cheap WR Terrelle Pryor- Actually wants to be in Cleveland, and we can release Richardo Louis...

I had looked at Kenny awhile ago but it reminds me of Joe Haden when he had a groin issue and just never played the game the same again.
I read "core body surgery" and felt that was a huge scare for a secondary position.

Yeah I do not know too much into injuries...I knew Vacarro has been pretty healthy until this year or so...I remember Haden was injury marred all over his lower body, but dont remember too well...Hoping he isn't another banged up Haden, as Haden was never the same after multiple surgeries and injuries.

A little early yet, but I expect there to be a lot of movement with trades and signings .. all once Cousins goes
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
