So what you're saying is that even though Saban says Fitzpatrick's best position is FS, you disagree with him. Is that correct?

You see Peppers more as a SS ? Yes ? No question about it. And maybe actually more of a tweener between SS and a SAM LB'er. Fitz is a coverage guy.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

He never played him there, Ronnie Harrison was Saban's FS... And my questions on Fitz playing FS are: 1) He didn't play FS in college 2) His vertical is on the low 30's 3) His tackling fundamentals are horrid 4) Bama has the most dominant front 7 making it hard to evaluate DB's 5) We already drafted Fitz last year on Peppers

Not sure why you don't think he played FS in college when he did.
I'll give you the vertical concerns as I read Dorsey puts a lot of stock in that.
Peppers and Fitzpatrick are not really the same as you claim. The knock on Peppers was his coverage skills. Not so much on Fitzpatrick. Fitz also played corner at Alabama, something I don't think Peppers ever did. Not sure the comparison you're making is all the accurate.

With reports that Randall is going to fill the FS position, it is going to be interesting to see what is going to happen.
I'm getting serious trade down vibes. Even if it's only down to five or six. At the moment, I'd say moving down a couple of spots and grabbing a top corner could be an excellent move.

I agree.
Someone told me they saw the Bills offering their two firsts plus their next two picks in the draft. I'm not sure if there's any truth to this rumor.
I also think these moves could also be somewhat a smokescreen. But I'm leaning more Chubb than Fitzpatrick at this time.

Its not me that does not think, its all media outlets and the fact he didn't. Peppers and Fitz are IMHO similar players, hybrid players with high football IQ. Peppers more a football freak, oversize safety, Fitz more a finesse, better player. The roles on the team would be very similar, IMHO, and I think Peppers was drafted to fit the role you now want Fitz in...

I don't think I'd consider Peppers a ballhawk. A few of the media question where he'll play. Most of the NFL execs think he can play anywhere in the secondary. FS may best highlight his high IQ, instincts, and playmaking. However, I don't think he should be pigeonholed there.

After the Cincy trade, the Bills now have #12 and #22. A move clearly made to move up. I'd trade #4 for #12 and #22. Who knows, we might be able to get a sweetener next year. Not a real big fan of the draft value chart, but a straight trade of #4 for 12 and 22 puts is 180 points to the good. Our pick at #4 is the Bills target.

agree, the knock on Peppers was he was a LB playing safety. Fitz has great coverage ability. Completely opposite skill sets.

It won't be for a QB, so no worries.
OT, CB,RB seems like the pick at that spot.

We will get our QB at #1...but if the Colts fail to trade their pick at #3 we can become a player in doing the trade. We would need two first rounders + 2 more either 2nd rounders or a first in 2019 and 2nd! It would have to be a lot so they can get their QB. Throw away the draft charts. It will be over pay for sure!

Actually the Bills do have pick 22. 12 and 22. They traded 21 to the Bengals for 12.

I'm loving this pick more and more with every passing day. Starting to see Nelson pop up in mocks to NY or Indy. Imagine if the draft went QB, Nelson, QB to Buff. Endless trade possibilities.
Regarding us trading with Buffalo, I think 12 is too far down. You'd most likely have the 4 qbs, Barkley, Chubb, Minkah, Nelson, Ward, R. Smith and James off the board. Who is next? Vea? McGlinchey? Landry? Davenport? Seems iffy

Just a question, does anyone think Nelson can play tackle? I haven’t watched him at all, being a guard, I didn’t see a reason to watch him. But if some view him as a tackle.........

Sorry no the kid is excellent OG but it would be a mistake to make him a LT. Now possibly if a team was in a jam he could go RT but Pass pro would be a big problem. OT in college can transition to OG but not OG to OT. jmho

OGs in college don't usually transition well to LT in the NFL. It's just a different mind and skill set.

I see no scouting report that even mentions Nelsom moving to OT. The only way he can help us address JT's absence is it would allow us to move Bitonio to LT.

Nelson is extremely powerful at the point of attach. His technique isn't up to par to move out t o tackle. His technique improved a lot last season but his main attribute is his strength and power.
He's a left guard and that is where he belongs. A better question is can Bitonio move out to LT. A better option than drafting Nelson and moving him to LT would be to draft Nelson and move Bitonia outside. Bitonio played LT in college. That would be a great LT/LG combo to run behind. The question would be, is the pass protection going to be adequate?
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no

I think its very hard to find successful college players that transitioned to more valuable position in the NFL... My question is always going to be, if they are good enough to play OT in the NFL , then why did they played OG in college? Same thing with safeties and corners and other positions...

at #4 we are either trading back and then taking a CB(Joshua Jackson) or WR(Courtland Sutton) or staying at 4 and drafting chubbs at DE or Denzel Ward at CB.

He is a perfect complement to Gordon IMHO.
