He has good run support and tackles. That's an upgrade right there. Raiders were tough. We were not so much.

This season is for two things: Punishment and Paybacks! Hope we dish it out a bunch.

This is a great signing!

I think CBs are more about depth and particular skills they do well. Look at all the CBs we've had in the past that go on to be snatched up by other teams. The exception of course is superstars like Ramsey, but those are few and far between. It's better to just have 5 guys that can be used as chess pieces against different offensive styles.

Dorsey and co. are really on a roll.

I would assume if any corner is gone it'll be Jamar...remember the last regime inked him to an extension...

BBC is one his rookie contract...its friendly

McCourty is one the last year of his deal...relatively friendly

Wilson, rookie deal but coming off pretty major surgery...freindly but concerns...knowing our luck he'll follow that sorry pattern we know true.

Maybe so.

My only point is don't get to attached to any of the 2nd tier guys.

Danny was better than 2nd tier, but Ii get why he was moved. He wasn't a fit any longer.

I mean, you have all seen this play out before.

how many LB did we sign in FA? None as its not a position Dorsey is looking to upgrade. We didnt add for others to get cut. Meanwhile we added 3 DBs and cut no one. There will be competition at all 4 DB starting positions! Competition is a good thing.

Our DB positions might look vastly different, especially if we decide to go with Fitzpatrick and sign another important piece. But, it was the ONE area that I felt was awful last year (besides QB obviously)

Might be time to amend your signature. wink

this is the crappy attitude we've had for too long...bring them all to training camp and let the battle begin. For once we have people actually having to fight to make the team versus legitimate young veterans. Losers get cut at the END of training camp (or traded). Competition is what Dorsey is bringing in at every position group, cutting people just seems to eliminate the competition which doesn't make sense to me at this point

He's in doubt probably, although he was like our most consistent guy back there

Sounded like he wasn't sure if he'd be back but he wanted to be.

I'd like to at least bring McCourty back to camp. I thought he played pretty well last year.

Not at the money we signed him for.

Looking at the money, he was certainly brought in to start and not the depth signing I mentioned.

Doing a little more homework, looks to be a really solid signing.

They were standouts in a miserable roster. No lead, if you could stumble into one, was safe with this defensive backfield as played, and repeatedly. Getting rid of some of that roster must happen. I hope we get more done.

Dorsey does not strike me as shy.
