John 3:16 Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
I don't say this lightly, but with full acknowledgement of our long history of signing WR's.... he was one of the worst signings, ever.
lol, at least Coates was cheap. Verses Bowe (worst) and Britt (almost as bad), who basically stole Jimmy Haslam's money and the Browns cap space.
Wish we could sue those two for fraud
yeah I don't get how anyone could say that when bowe and britt got PAID and did nothing. Didn't bowe have like 3 catches? At least Sammy had some ST tackles.
You don't luck your way into a 1000 yds receiving on a team that won one game with QB play that ranked 28th in the NFL passing for an average of 204yds per game.
Pryor produced...I just don't get the hatred this board exhibits toward him.
All you need to know is The Steelers preferred Heyward Bey over Coates...and they are the ones whom drafted Coates high. I said prior to the draft that Coates came out in, that he would bust...Guy is worse than Greg Little. I'm glad he's gone...and was deserving the first WR we let go.
Real WR? Pryor had over 1000 yards for us. That's happened like 3 times before since our return (Kevin Johnson, Braylon, Josh Gordon)
Don't forget about Antonio Bryant who had a big final game in 2005 to go over the 1000 yard mark playing with a busted up hand. He punched some dude at a bar/restaurant and hurt his hand before the final game (per the story on the A to Z podcast).
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
Coates will go down with the rest of the "barely remembered" Browns
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

It's possible to not want Pryor while also not hating him.

Gary Barnidge had over 1000 yards receiving for the Browns in 2015 and made the Pro Bowl. Two years later he was cut and is out of the NFL.

Somebody has to catch the ball on a bad team.
yep.. lots of one year wonders...braylon edwards, winslow, gordon, Jordan Cameron......
being a browns fan is like taking your dog to vet every week to be put down...

I was going to say, "Parts ways" or "Couldn't get him out of the door fast enough."
I feel bad for Coates. He was a solid prospect, but he just hasn't panned out. Always weird when someone who has all the talent fails to make a positive impact.
No lies, but I wasn't really feeling the Corey pick beforehand and that drop right there just pushed me right up to the edge. I hope Dorsey is keeping a tight leash on him. Corey better learn how to stay healthy first and to catch last.

3rd round or later pick he should have been.
See, I was excited about the Corey Coleman pick.
Hopefully 3rd year as a receiver and it just clicks. My biggest issue isn't even the drops.
He just doesn't seem to get separation. Not good for a receiver who isn't that big

Can't unwind the speed when your hamstring is always down and out, and his speed was always his best asset.

You think it's speed? Or lack of ability to run routes?
Hopefully this Henry Coach that Landry raves about will figure this guy out. That or Haley rides him until he figures it out.
I wanted Coleman when we drafted him, very excited we got him, and he's been nothing but a dissapointment.
One of the biggest reasons I want Pryor. Coleman has shown nothing yet (although not ready to give up on him) and folks seem to forget that Gordon lets us down year after year after year. As far as I'm concerned they're 3rd and 4th receivers.
Terrelle Pryor, Jordan Matthews, those guys are welcome editions. I'm a little nervous about the idea of Mr. Crabtree. A lot of time in the NFL, a lot of use. I don't want him to come in here and just use us as a paycheck
Well that's the thing here. His speed is his best weapon and almost his only weapon.
His hamstring/health issues takes that speed away and guess what? Not being able to practice and work on your needed craft means he's technically not likely improving route running either. I'm not going to go Google because it's not worth it, but he's missed a TON of practice. Even when he's healthy and able to practice, they tried babying him and that didn't even work out.
He's in a state where he's not advancing or improving. Granted, I'm not there watching him practice (when he does) and in the film room, but just taking an educated guess through a window that's on the outside.
I'd love to get TP back. TP, Josh and Landry could be a very nice trio with both TP and JG on the otusides and Juice in the slot, then if Corey has the ability to add anything, GREAT, if not - probably not a shocker to most.
The clip is only 4.5 minutes long... you sure they got all of them?
Handful of balls clanging off of receivers hands, and a couple WR-giveups on the route... and a whole bunch of awful throwing decisions and worse throws. There were a couple ints where there isn't even a Browns players in the screen.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Doctson was the WR I wanted. He's had injury issues, too. Michael Thomas lasted to pick 47 and has been the best of the bunch.
You mess with the "Bull," you get the horns. Fiercely Independent.
