Are we gonna get what we had last year, or Pittsburg's offense or elements of What they were doing with Buffalo to help TT be successful?

I know after the Superbowl, our copycat league will be doing more with RPO's (which is really nothing new) but what can we expect to see?

Probably run heavy, with the QB getting the ball out quickly, on time. Hailley did a great job speeding Been up in Pittsburgh.

I suspect it will be much like the Steelers but without tiny ben, AB and Bell to make it run. I know we SHOULD run the ball a lot but we should have done so last year and we didn't. So... Guess we will have to wait and see.

Lots of sacks due to having no LT. We finally fixed most of the other positions on O, so ofc our greatest strength for the 10 of the last 11 years will sink us. It's the Browns way.

lol ok, Battered Dog Syndrome aside, it's going to depend a ton on talent development.

If Njoku and Coleman come into their own we could be a high flying, high scoring offense with Landry and Hyde keeping the chains moving.

If not, we'll probably be ball control offense with Tyrod throwing infinite 5 yard passes to Landry and DeValve and scrambling when needed on the way to somewhere in the range of 14-21 points a game.

In Cleveland we've been developing the 3 and out offense to perfection as of late.

Run the ball and give me far fewer dropped balls and I don't care what offense we run. We can call it the Run The Freaking Ball And Hang On To It We Pass offense.

Tyrod Taylor is best running play action and being on the move. He plays well both under center and out of shotgun.

Todd Haley hasn't traditionally run the ball all that much, but he's been successful when he does run the ball. Running the ball successfully will take advantage of Taylor's mobility.

I'd love to see a whole bunch of RPOs with Taylor.

We will....and we will go right most of the time, lessening the premium on a LT.

As QB's change, the need for a great LT has changed.

j/c...

Lots of positive vibes...lol

Hey we got a QB also another. We got an excellent interior which is the real problem for a QB. Already everyone knows Coleman sucks. Does he have the feet? Yes.
Does he have the length? Yes.
Does he have the power to control the edge run game? Yes.

So things are finally falling in place for the Browns. Year after we have had negative after negative. Well odds are in our favor to come up roses. Yes Im the Homer but Id actually would like to see him over there.

I duess Hubbard is RT. We got a pretty fast OL...guess what TT can move our pocket is going to move we will go to RPO's more n more.
We have weapons now. I hope are D becomes awesome n our O to score when we get in the Red Zone!

Things are looking good for us Brown's fans.

Agreed. The Eagles just won the Super Bowl with their backup QB and Jason Peters on IR.

I wish we were running Hue's offense instead of Haley's. We don't have Ben, Bell, and Brown.

I do think that Landry is going to lead the NFL in receptions. Taylor throws short and Landry is best slot receiver in football. Sounds like a good combination that might help move the chains.

Wrong.
And thanks for the time-waste.

Tyrod is the best QB we've had in years. He is a welcome presence in our room, and he hasn't had the weapons downfield like we can potentially offer.

Haley said in that press conference that he was going to taylor his offense to put the players we have on our team to be in the best positions to succeed.

He said it had vertical concepts like Hue's i guess too.

So who knows, he might add in the option stuff like Hue used to like doing in Cincy. Especially with a guy like Tyrod Taylor

All coaches say stuff like your first comment. Unlike several posters on this board who dominate the conversation, I actually respect Hue's offensive genius. I think he is way better than Haley at both scheme and play calling.

I am not good w/that hire.

See. I look at it as, Hue looked overwhelmed to me this year. Haley has had success wherever he's been.

He was successful in Pitt. He was successful in Arizona. In 2010 his offense was pretty good when he was head coach of the Chiefs (according to the stats)

I feel good about this whole organization right now, i just worry if there's too many cooks in the kitchen (front office/coaching staff group think decision making) or too many strong personalities (the coaching staff).

We battled. Not well.

Better offense. How could it not be so? Hopefully score more, give it away less without Kizer in the turnover factory. A defense that scores and takes it away for the good guys would be a nice touch. A reminder: They are allowed to score as well.

If the players can't execute, it doesn't matter how good the scheme and playcalling are. Hopefully we end up with a nice fusion of good concepts that our guys can actually execute.

I'm encouraged by having a new trigger man in Tyrod, but it does mean we'll be building chemistry from scratch with all the skill players (yet again). At least the interior of the OL has some continuity.

I'm curious to see how the good cop (Hue)/bad cop (Haley) dynamic plays out.

Thank god, we can finally expect to see screen passes. I cannot remember a team so inept at understanding when a defense was just teeing off in pass rush without even attempting screens.

Pittsburgh absolutely ate our lunch for the past like 5 seasons with screen passes and we never even attempted to take a page from that playbook. Infuriating.

Hopefully we see counters, draws and screens for once this decade.

Hopefully, Haley brings with him that magic dust that he sprays at the refs to prevent them from seeing the frequent and blatant holding by his OL.

I think we ran plenty of screens and draws the past two years. Screen passes to Crow and Duke were pretty effective. Of course, Kizer's accuracy was an issue. I'll never forget that pass he threw into the dirt when swinging it out to Duke. LOL

Nah Tyrod is a huge upgrade for us at QB so we will win some games this year I think.

I think it's huge too... he's a dual threat QB as' well, so we'll still have that ability to extend plays and etc via the Qbs feet. Having someone I know who has had some success is very, very comforting to me. Hue probably loves already announcing there's no competition, Taylor is our starter and don't even have to think on it.

Don't worry, I don't think Hue has much voice. How can a guy who has won 1 game in 2 years have much say?

If we get Barkley, our offense will be a good one. He will make the QB much better since he can run the ball and is a serious threat out of the backfield (almost uncoverable by a LB). With Gordon and Landry too, our offense can be pretty darn good.

He would.

The deeper we get, I think we go QB at #1 and Chubb at #4

I agree. I wanted Barkley but I can't see him now unless Duke won't sign an extension, then maybe.

it'll be similar to the bills O, but Tyrod will have more weapons, if they continue to develop.
He won't turn the ball over, has good legs and is smart. A good run game is a must. I think we will go less with RPO, and more with quick and shallow drops, he seems comfortable there. Also makes running easier if need be. Njoku will be a friend of TT'. As will duke.

I've read that he's got a good deep ball. Not sure I agree.

As long as we get a horizontal stretch and a vertical stretch. Maling space on the inside for our WRs, TE n RBs to do their thing.

As long as it is effective, I don’t care what system is run.

If I had to surmise, I’d say an RPO. That would play into the strength of all the players I expect to see on the field.

I would hope we will be a strong running team with more play action passes.

I just want a winner. We need players who can be part of the solution not part of the problem.
