The Browns are in such a great position in the first round I think it is time to look at round two.
We have three picks. Which in itself is too cool.
What do we do?
Who could we realistically expect to be available?
Is there a position we have to address or BPA all the way?

Having pick thirty-three is such a great spot. We either take a guy who we have rated highly, but has fallen or we trade down with a team who really wants their guy. It's so hard to predict who will be there with any of these picks, but I tend to lean to just taking the best player available and create great depth at a position.
I would also say there is a pretty good chance we use one of these second round picks to move back into the first round (like we did last year).

I see CB and WR and BPA in the second - in that order, too.

33/35 is like having 2 extra #1's with 64 being our 2nd ...

I want Barkley real bad.
However given the depth of the runners in this draft; this may be where we get one.
I like Kerryon but Dorsey may have others rated higher.
Maybe some guys slip?

If we are seriously moving Shon Coleman to LT, 33 or 35 might be the spot for RT. Some people think Orlando Brown dropped out of the first round with a less than stellar Combine, and the growing realization that he's really not an LT prospect at the pro level. We'll still need an LT prospect IMO, maybe Jamarco Jones, OSU in the 4th round, or else trade back into the 3rd round and go for Brian O'Neill, Pitt. (Just based on draft projections I've read.)

Of course it all depends on who is there. With an anticipated rush on QBs at the top, talented players start to drop causing a domino effect. Factor in the teams with mid-round picks reaching for need, and there is a possibility that a top 20 prospect is sitting there at 33. I don't think Dorsey is the guy who passes him up for need.

This is where I say that John Dorsey has never worked for a team that has taken a running back in the first or second round.

33 is the cat bird seat for the rest of the draft ... you get the whole night to make a deal or set your choice

I think we will be looking to move back into the 1st round if a player we covets drops, or there is a run at a position he is in.

Guys I would love to see fall to us:
Oliver Key - assuming we don't take Chubb Alexander Guice Ridley Sutton Brown
Overall I'd be looking for CB, WR, RB in the second, assuming we don't take Barkley @ 4.
On another note, I want Damon Webb. I'd take him as high as the fifth round, if he's there.

That's were I am going with this.
The run on quarterbacks and maybe runners could drop a really good receiver to us.
I holding out hope we sign Pryor.
I wonder if a defensive tackle that fits for Williams comes into play?

You're right, it's going to be very interesting to not only see who's there but who Dorsey picks. There's going to be talent there with both our top two 2nd round picks.

With Shelton gone the guy I am looking at is DaRon Payne.
Quick penetrating tackle very good against the run but can rush.

We do need a good inside pass rusher.

From What I have read about Payne he seems perfect for Williams.
He is projected as a first round guy but could be there. He is the second ranked tackle behind Vita.
No way to predict but worth watching.

We do need a good inside pass rusher. If we take Chubb, we'll probably see Ogbah there. I think we signed Chris Smith to rush from inside as well.

I wonder if a defensive tackle that fits for Williams comes into play? WR? Kirk maybe. Doubt it though. Round 1. Sutton? Loved him earlier, but looking at him now, it seems he's going to have serious problems getting off the LOS. Don't sit on a DT at 33 or 35. Payne is one of those 1st round guys that might be there Day 2. Everyone wants to trade. #4. I say NO WAY unless it's Denver at 5. I'm not going to 12 or 15. I don't care about Buffalo and 22. We have STUDS available at 4 or 5. I think our Most likely Trade will be at 33 or 35. And if we do that, I'd take ALL picks in 2019. Including that teams 2nd round pick in 2018 of course. We CONTROL the First AND Second Round of this Draft. I'd venture to say that NO team has EVER been in this position before.

In round 2 I like Guice, Mclynchy, a corner, a diff LT prospect, one of these receivers (if we don't sign TP).
Also, maybe a trade up.
I like the value of 1st round picks more than 2nd. You can excercise that option, which, while not cheap, makes it a five year deal. Slap'm with a franchise tag and you've got a 6 year contract

That will leave CB very high on their list at #33 or #35. But, at #33 they will have a night and day to review their draft board and find someone they originally did not feel will drop to them. Then at #35 take best Corner available Alexander/Oliver/Hughes.

Did you listen to Hue's inteview about Tyrod Taylor? He kept emphasizing that there was no competition. Tyrod Taylor WAS the 2018 starter. That sounds to me like Rosen is not happening (so I assume the medical check didn't go well). Cause Rosen will outight beat Tyrod Taylor for the job. Rosen is very far along and will step into the NFL and find some success pretty easily IMO And I don't think Baker Mayfield would be willing to just accept being the backup, and therefore if it was Baker they wouldn't have said that. So I'm assuming Darnold or Allen.

He's further along than Tyrod Taylor IMO and can step into the NFL and start Day 1. I don't think you get much sitting him on the bench

Letting Taylor dictate your QB choice is Stupid and short sighted. Oh, I agree. But you're missing my point. The interview that Hue Jackson had. When asked about Tyrod Taylor, he announced that he will be the 2018 starter. There would be no competition. None. I think that's a true tell, right there. If we were going to draft Rosen, he wouldn't have said that. He would have said something like Taylor has a very strong chance of being the 2018 starting QB. Something other than the definitive version that he gave. To be clear, Rosen is my top choice. Based on all the information I have, it's pretty clear cut. He's the guy that looks like the safest prospect. Three years as a starter of high level college football. Accuracy, ability to go through progressions, wonderful mechanics, smart decision making, offense that looks like a pro-offense. Josh Rosen looks like a pro quarterback. But I also recognize that we're not privy to all the information that the FO is. There's health and personality/character things that we don't do because we don't get to interview the guys/spend time with the guys in a private workout; we don't have access the the MRI's, CT Scans, and Dr Reports; and none of us is crazy enough to hire a PI firm to do a full background check on these players. I believe that Josh Rosen is good enough to beat out Tyrod Taylor. Right now, with a full training camp, he's better than Tyrod. There's no advantage to just having Josh sit for a season (because it's basically pointless). He doesn't need it. We're just wasting everyone's time. The other QBs, it's different. So based on what Hue Jackson said, I don't think we're going the way of Josh Rosen. Because there's no reason why he would have declared Tyrod the 2018 starting QB, rather than saying something that leaves a little room for flexibility.

Which ever QB we take at #1 will benefit from sitting a season if TT remains healthy.
Lets take Rosen, all this crap about him being NFL ready is just that. So cause TT is named the starter for 2018 a poster will say Well that eliminates Rosen. I'm like HUH??? what kind of logic is that.
First off what is everyone's negative on Rosen. HEALTH! So you going to tell me that Rosen won't benefit from healing up in the 2018 season as well as hone his skills and learn the NFL game?? Are you kidding me. Of course he will. And we can take each and every QB in this draft and come up with a logical explanation on why said QB will benefit from sitting. And you know what - if the QB studs out before his time and is ready to be the best option at QB mid season...So be it.
Who knows who will be BPA at 33, 35 and 64!

If it was a tell and I’m not saying it was or wasn’t, but if it was, then maybe Dorsey doesn’t like any if the QBs at 1, maybe he truly is looking to move down, he has said “call my phone”. He has done an already small roster turnover with free agency. Bringing in all the players he’s brought in already, maybe he sees a bigger, sorry for the word, “rebuild” then we as fans saw. Maybe he sees a chance to add more players with a trade down. I don’t have any idea what’s in store but if that “tell” is true, I could see us move back, take our QB later, wether it be Rudolph, Jackson, or White. Guys that will need to sit. Improve the overall roster, with “real player” not like past regimes who moved back to accumulate draft capital and take the wrong players.
Not saying it’s what I want or hope we do just saying it could be an option.

I don't see any benefit to Josh Rosen sitting. He is a better QB than Tyrod Taylor right now. I think it's a waste of everyone's time. I guess he gets the chance to observe how someone else does it, but that's only helpful for so much time. Plus, he's like 21. He doesn't need another full year off to heal. He'll have had plenty of time to heal by the start of pre-season

I just think Hue is tired of having to develop a QB on the fly and Tyrod eliminates any doubt. I don't know that they assume he is the future. I still think there is no question that we draft one at 1. We can "get by" with Taylor and then if he pans out could trade the QB we drafted at 1 for more assets... realistically, the drafted QB will be ready within 2 years. That's my take.

I don’t know if we’ve seen the best of Tyrod Taylor just yet. Not saying he’s the answer of our future, but could be better then what we’ve seen from him so far, especially if we give him some more weapons.

He is not better than Taylor at this point in time. There are defensive formations, speeds, and designs he has not scene yet
