I get that people play favorites..............but are people really disputing my claim that Lamar is the qb in this draft that is the "most familiar w/NFL offenses?
Seriously????????????
I am NOT knocking Lamar, but come on.............rasta throws out a lot of false BS and you guys are taking him seriously?
Seriously?
Do we need to bring up the Jimmy G threads again? Go watch Cosell and Carr on Lammar, before you say I post BS... Usually I post my sources (like in the Fitz thread) and get confronted with opinions that have no ground.. Regarding Jimmy G I posted the sources that made the whole affair clear, that it was a BB Kyle deal and that Sashi had nothing to do with that, and by the way you never apologized on that matter...

Lamar is most NFL ready - yeah OK.
Watch the NFL defenses against him - Ends rush up field remaining in their lanes to keep him in the pocket and spy his arse. Make him beat you from the pocket and it aint going to happen - IMHO. The NFL ready concept is changing. I think now is more or less established that the QB's with better chances for immediate success are mobile QB's.. Russell Wilson, Dak Prescott, Deshaun Watson.. And yes I think there are similarities between Russell, Deshaun and Lammar

Just ignore him. That's his M.O. If you don't agree with his opinion, it's considered b.s. It's exhausting.

I know you are right, but it just really throws me off when people accuse others of making up stuff when they support it with sources, and then they never post any link, any data that contradicts. I do , some times, like all other posters, make stuff up, its called opinions, but in those cases I don't make up facts to support them. Its an opinion that can be drawn and supported by facts, but its an opinion. In this case I wasn't even arguing about my opinion of Lammar, just stating that there are credible sources that consider him the prospect most familiar with NFL Offenses.

That was old NFL, new NFL we have Big Ben, Mariota, Russell Wilson, Dak, Deshaun, Wentz.. Mobility, decision making and creating something where there is nothing makes this type of QB's, IMHO, the most NFL ready... All of this QB's aren't running QB's, and they never were in College, they are pass QB's first who can run and create miss matches, that's why they translate with success to the NFL. I particularly like them because they are willing to take the risks and see their QB stats hurt and drop on the draft charts just to make their team win in college.

Imho how a QB handles pressure is very important. Its a mix of athleticism, poise and decision making. A QB's performance under pressure makes me think of this statement from Bill Walsh: The ability to make superior, spontaneous decisions (especially at crucial times) is another trait that great quarterbacks possess. Below: Passer rating under pressure top 6 prospects: Lamar has the highest passer rating of the non-spread QBs by 16 or more points. Other then Josh Allen; Lamar faced the most pressure/least amount of snaps when kept clean. Lamar's receiver had the most drops.

Before we discuss Jackson’s elite athleticism, make no mistake about his intentions when in the pocket. He’s more than willing to go through multiple reads and he has no problem making plays from the pocket. Jackson is not just running around and vacating pockets, though it’s certainly a part of his game. In fact, 73 percent of Jackson’s rushing yards in college came off designed runs, and only 27 percent came on scrambles. https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/dr...ampaign=college

We gotta get this guy .... ... One more sure fire example of why ... STATS ARE FOR ...... I don't get your post... there are a number of factors that make Lamar a good pick.. We are not talking Josh Allen or Trubisky here, he was a top College QB, with no major fault to his game. If anything you can defend that Rosen and Darnold are better prospects, but that does not take anything away from Lamar. I can sure understand if he's our choice, but unfortunately I don't think he will. Saquan #1 and Lamar #4 and we would be taking the best players in this draft...

I stated "CURIOUS" I think. Meaning several had stated that Lamar should convert to WR. I thought Lamar was/is a much better QB than JT. I don't see him making a living in the NFL at QB was curious if teams were working him out at another position...that is all.
less you forget I stated I'm also on my meds...lol

I like these videos you're posting Swish. I made it through the Baker Mayfield, but I've gotta get back to UConn Women's Basketball (mopping Duke up), but I hope to go through all of them.

Thanks bro. I thought it was important to break down the QBs picks last season.

I took the time to watch the breakdown. Its insightful especially for those that haven't watched a lot of Lamar/Louisville. Schofield gives good insight to the NFL concepts, reads and progressions that are in Petrino's offense. Rosen and Allen are the only other prospects in this draft class with the same/more exposure to NFL passing concepts.

I like Lamar.....just not as much as a few others.
I'd draft 2 QB's like the Skins did a few years back. If he is there in round 2, I would take him.
If that is the true position of need, I have no problem doubling down. It's not about ego's, it's about getting a solid QB.
I don't care if our QB is a top 5 guy. A guy rated top 10-15 is good enough to win championships.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong

Lamar Jackson is being pushed up the draft charts simply because he is a QB, he IMO should be a 3rd 4th rd. project QB ... JMHO

He has one if the strongest arms in the top 5.
And he’s never missed a game in college.

I watched some of his tape and I don't see his arm strength and College is the key word for not being injured, I mean Cam is much thicker and look how he has been beat up ... These are JMO's I know others like him and if we were to draft him I would hope I was totally wrong but ...

You know how many pocket QBs I can name that have been injured?
Hell, the best pure passer in the draft can’t even stay healthy.
You have zero evidence to claim that Lamar doesn’t have arm strength. That’s completely false.

Enough to know I don't want Jackson ... Hey to each their own. Saying he has a weak arm and questioning his injury propensity does not stand up to even the most cursory look is as all. No worries. Did you watch the vid Swish posted? Fyi, in this thread we're taking a closer look at Lamar so if that's not your thing....well.....

I am starting to sour on Josh Allen, man this kid was pushed on us like no other.
I think Lamar is a better prospect making him probably #4 on my list still I doubt he is taken in the top 10 and if available in the late First round possibly a team might move back into the first to take him.
Man if the kid could be a better passer and unfortunately I think he will get murdered taking off the way he likes to.

Starting to? Come on bro. You keep talking about accuracy when Lamar always had better accuracy than Allen, yet for the longest you had him over Lamar.
Vick remained relative healthy throughout his career. Lamar has never missed a game in college. I can not buy into the injury angle when I’m watching pocket QBs go down left and right.
The top passer in the draft missed how many games? He’s a pure pocket passer. So how come his injury risk aren’t being talk about nearly as much as Lamar’s?
The only guy that had better overall PASSING #’s than Lamar was your boy mayfield. And I like mayfield a lot.
