I would love to have him, but I don't think I'd be willing to pay what it would take to get him (because of his contract status).

...JC... Re: Would you want OBJ and what would it take to get him? NO...don't want him.
I've watched Beckham's antics on the field and on the sidelines...he has such a lack of control over his emotions..the guy is a "headcase"!
Most important quality OBJ lacks...he is not a team player.
The Browns don't need that kind of trouble.

If we were even 1 year further into our rebuild (translation: if the OBJ saga was next offseason, and we've hit on more picks than we've busted), then I'd really have to think hard about this.
As the situation is now, I don't have to think hard about it.... Nope!

The picture I am hearing about, with him having a brown "cigarette" in his mouth, and with a table with white powder on it is a huge concern to me. I would want this cleared up before there is any chance of a deal.

I don't want his nonsense and sideshow. Purely personal. Can't seem to suit up without all of it. Just plenty to laugh at already to clean up. This wouldn't be help. Pass.

Whatever the result is from this situation. I love Landry's enthusiasm for the Browns since being traded. He is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

Nope.
Price and drama nearly neck in neck. I'll pass and watch highlights from a distance for free. That's pretty much where I'm at as well.

He is a great talent, but he has some Anrdre Risen in him.
I think I would pass. No way we sign both Landry and Beckem to extended deals. Both are going to want and get mega deals.

I'm not sure. If he didn't have the injury concerns and the recent "mystery substance" photos I think it would be a good deal.
With Taylor and all that other stuff being a reality, I don't think he is a fit. I also don't think it is something Dorsey would go for.

He wants to be the highest paid player. Not the highest paid WR, but the highest paid player.
We can do without that.

The funny thing is that by not committing to a long term deal with Jarvis we could get a much better free agent WR than Jarvis. I'm not sure Jarvis is worth $17 mil when we may have to sign Josh Gordon to a similar deal in two years.

I'm not sure Jarvis is worth $17 mil when we may have to sign Josh Gordon to a similar deal in two years. Sounds like it's better to lock Jarvis up now, before he costs that much more next year (and we have to sign/franchise Gordon in two years). Josh would really have to show a major change in everything for me to be comfortable giving him a long-term deal. Till then, he can play on one year contracts. And I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting that. He'll be 27 when this season starts. He'd be 30 after one year under the franchise tag

I think people severely underrate Landry. That may be. But over the next two years 95% of the pro bowl WRs will be free agents. AJ, Dez, OBJ, Steffon Diggs, Snead, Michael Thomas and a whole litany of other good talents. Some will be re-signed, but a few won't. Are they better than Landry? Some are. Some are cheaper too. This season will determine a lot for Landry. If Gordon outperforms him, I can't think of a reason to bring back Landry, when you're just going to need to sign Gordon to a large deal in two years. Hopefully.

CLE Receives: 2nd overall pick Odell Beckham Jr.
NYG Receives: 1st overall pick Corey Coleman 33rd Overall Pick No. If Jarvis Landry is worth a 4th and 7th round pick, Odell Beckham is not worth passing on the #1 QB in the draft and then adding #33 on top of it. Take Coleman and #33 out of the transaction and I'd still have no interest in it.

The more I ponder this; the more I believe this is not happening.
What needs to be determined is what do they think of Coleman?
What is Coleman going to do? Will he ever show that he is worth where he was drafted?
If he shows that. We are in good shape.
Most likely we will draft a receiver.
In the end I just don't see the Browns paying Obj the money he wants.

The Browns haven't had a player with this much talent on offense since Jim Brown. He is a gigantic douche on and off the field but I don't care, he is absolutely if not THE, one of the top 5 most dynamic offensive players in the league. We've got Josh Gordon. Who's plenty dynamic. I'd rather sign him a babysitter than sign OBJ. Better deal and enough balls to go between Josh and Jarvis Are you high? Meathead can't be trusted. It would be a huge mistake to count on him. EVER. So much so I would let him walk in free agency. I might tag him once. But I sure wouldn't be giving him a long-term deal with lot of guaranteed money. That would be suicide. Meathead is a man that got a DUI while awaiting an appeal hearing with Goodell. Thus his moniker as "meathead". Dead from the neck up. I would absolutely trade for him. I would NOT give one of our first round picks for him. I would give our first 2nd round pick this year. #33 and I'd throw in meathead if they wanted him.... Or the 2nd this year and a 3rd next year... Then I'd sign him to the big contract that meathead should be getting if he wasn't so brilliantly stupid!

of course Gordon cannot be trusted at all, but OBJ is not the image of reliability either ... there's a reason the Giants may get rid of him

Think about it. If a player improves his QBS numbers like that, and they still don't want him, why would you want him on your team. This guy is more a locker room plague than a cancer.

It is not that I want OBJ, but the idea of Josh Gordon, Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr is intriguing.

No thank you. We'll have to pay mucho dinero for one receiver, maybe two. I'd prefer not to make it a hat trick.

Benjamin Allbright Verified account @AllbrightNFL Someone was getting sold a bill of goods yesterday. I talked with several people who said the Giants ARE shopping Beckham. They just want more than what's being offered. Tweet I still wouldn't want to give up in trade what the perceived cost would be to acquire him.

I am not advocating for us trading/paying for OBJ ... but imagine this as our offensive weapons at once:
Josh Gordon and Odell Beckham at WR Jarvis Landry in the slot Duke Johnson in the slot Saquon Barkley at RB
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
