Well, there aren't viable replacements in most drafts.

You do realize he was one of the top 3-4 players to ever play the position. No??

You don't replace that. You just move on.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

Yup. The Pats lost both starting tackles. They don't seem concerned

The Pats are in a completely different state of being than the Browns. Once you have your championship team built, you can use the draft to build your support system. Rather than looking for plug-n-play players, you draft developmental players and prepare them for replacing your starters as they move on. If they don't have the replacement ready to go, they turn to FA where they have no trouble convincing players to come to NE. Or they trade from positions of strength.

While the Browns are hoping their 3-4 round players can play immediately, the Pats are drafting for 2-3 years down the road after the 1st round.

Honestly. After this FA and the trades, there's no position that requires a rookie to play immediately

While we don't have many impact star players still, we have guys with playing experience, and don't have holes at any significant positions where we have to panic and find a rookie yet. LT would be the closest, and I think that is what it is.

And we've had worse than Spencer Drango, like Oneil Cousins, Roman Oben, that LT who came from Miami who sucked (Just looked him up, LJ Shelton). How about this name, Barry Stokes

EDIT: nevermind. Oneil Cousins played RG and RT for us i think

Agreed, but how long has it been since the last time we could say that? It's been awhile.

Sure has been. It's not like our team looks excellent or anything. But, we could field a team, lol.

Always good to have depth. Now we can focus on the draft to just improve on what we have, for now and the future. BPA all the way. (After Rosen and Barkley in the first)

Dan Patrick wasn’t the only one to reiterate that the Giants liked Darnold, Chris Canty has said it and I recall reading it on a third page. So the interest in Darnold seems to be a least some news. I know there’s a lot of “crap” out there right now, but if and only if Darnold is not Dorsey’s guy then I’d have no problem moving down one spot. Dorsey would still get “his” guy at two.

And I said a while ago I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Allen was his guy. Not saying that’s the case just saying it could be a possibility.
