Because shows cost money and the longer they run the more money they cost to make. It's the same reason why many shows don't last 7+ seasons. They longer they run the higher the chance to be syndicated, where the real money is. Your saying that a TV shows goal is to not be long running ? lol

That is probably why you said that and I didn't. Do you also believe How I Met Your Mother or Seinfield should still be churning out episodes? You just said the goal of a TV show should be 'syndication' because that's when it is at its most profitable, but what do you want to happen post-syndication?

It wasn’t too long ago the conservative right TV viewers were all up in arms about Tim Allen’s show getting canceled because of, they claimed, Tim’s political views. Yet here’s Rosanne, openly supporting trump, yet getting ratings, good reviews, and being picked up for another season. So which is it? Does the ‘liberal media’ hate conservative based sitcoms, or not? They renewed Rosanne so fast just to cover their tracks! Everyone knows that! (Casually removes curiously oversized Hershey’s Kiss wrapper and places it on the couch)

Your saying that a TV shows goal is to not be long running ? lol Tim Allen's show had decent-but-middling ratings. In the climate of network television, it's cheaper and easier to put on a singing or talent competition if it can garner equal or better ratings. The cancellation of Allen's show was an economic decision, not a political one, and Roseanne's recent success exposes just how laughably stupid the whole "Tim Allen got persecuted because of his politics!" argument was. All 3 major networks would air a 3 hour block of Sean Hannity farting into a jug while declaring his undying love for Trump if it pulled in a high enough ratings share. Also- in case anyone is curious - the magic number for syndication is 100 episodes. After that, it doesn't really factor much. Having 100 or 250 episodes won't budge the needle very much. It's about popularity and desire for repeat viewing.

'Roseanne' revival wins in the ratings, holds strong in its second weekABC’s “Roseanne” reboot is still going strong in its second week, reeling in more than 15 million viewers for Tuesday’s episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The premiere of the highly-anticipated return of the Conner family drew just over 18 million viewers last week, and the network is likely pleased with the strong showing in week two. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/201...econd-week.html

Most certainly not. However, it's not all that hard to pick the deplorable one's out from the others.

The people have spoken!
They love the show!
The only scripted show this season to outperform “Roseanne” was the post-Super Bowl episode of “This Is Us.”

People love Rosanne because it pokes fun at all politics. Not just left. Not just right.
How ridiculous it all is.
A lot of people can relate to that.

Not for nuthin fellas, but IIRC, Gilligan's Island only aired 3 seasons before coming the longest running syndicated show. I'm a fan of all those shows where they build cars and make gizmos. I always wanted to see a show that tried to see if any of the Professors inventions could have worked in real life.

So every Trump supporter is deplorable then? If you see him as a means to an end, or the lesser of two evils, then there's some nuance there. But if you actively support him, absolutely. What is this man bringing to the table other than racism and reactionary grievance? He's an absolute imbecile with no working or even cursory knowledge of any area pertinent to the job. When you strip down the parts, there's nothing there but racism and anger.

Taiwanese-American actor and Bob's Burgers writer Kelvin Yu responded via Twitter in a series of tweets to explain why people took offense to the show's wisecrack. My opinion on why he took offense. Because he was looking for any reason to cry, bitch, and complain. If he would have heard asian and black families are just the same as white families he would have cried, bitched, and complained. If he heard asian, and black families are different that white families he would have cried, bitched, and complained. If he would have heard asian, and black families....... (insert anything) he would have cried, bitched, and complained.
