I get a deep tissue massage once a month. A woman comes to our house and does them. I am sore for a few days afterwards, but it's a good sore. It certainly isn't sexual. Usually, it's downright painful, so it's tough to really get aroused (unless your hubby is into that kind of thing...  ). I've even had a couple guy masseuses, and I don't worry about it. But, I've never been too uptight about that kind of thing, so that's just me. JMHO

The differece is that we, as professionals, are trying to move away from the sexual connotation associated with massage parlors. Masseuse and massuere are not professional terms and are often used in said parlors and to decribe people that give massages that are "less than ethical". In Ohio, we hold a medical license from the state....it reads Massage Therapist. We are trained in massage, while many masseuses (or whatever the plural is) are not.

I'll tell you what hurt Massage is Phoebe on Friends. People still mention her to me...and her unethical "massage". I've seen an episode or two of it and I don't find it funny. Of course, anytime something pokes fun at your profession I suppose it isn't funny.
And, the "Happy Ending" place must be where you get ice cream. I give water.

I've never had a massage, but I can say it woulnd't bother me if it was a guy or a girl. Do guys enter a message therapist's office thinking they might get a little somethin somethin?
